    I only used one lemon for juice and zest and it was perfection, such a magical dish. I usually love a very lemony salad when I make mac n cheese to cut through the richness so this combination all in one was phenomenal.

    This was pretty dope. Used the saucepan to brown steaks first and deglazed with white wine before heating the cream & zest. Very versatile!

      My mom gave me her old one. Its orange!! 🤣🍊
      She got it in the 70s from her own mother. Lol. Still a great pot, it's one of my favorites to use.

    These pots are from Dansk...take a look on their website. I bought them at their outlet in the 70's but now they are owned by Lenox., so you can find them at the lenox outlet as well.

    the story you read is identical to how buffalo chicken wings came into existance. The late, favorite customer, nothing to serve at closing and buffalo wings, (in Buffalo NY) became a world wide favorite. Thanks for the great vid. Awsome recipe.

    It didn’t look like much sauce- does the pasta absorb it? I usually do pasta saucier so as it absorbs there is still a sauce.

      the more you cook the sauce the thicker it gets, I usually stop shy of what I want in the end as it will continue to thicken even when plated.

    Ooh, I like the idea of the peas, John Kasarda. This is one of those recipes that, it seems to me, shouldn't work. Shouldn't the lemon juice curdle the cream? But, miraculously, satisfyingly, it doesn't. Thanks!

    Looks amazing, but the problem is that heavy cream is too expensive in my country, i wonder if I can homemake it?

      To make 1 cup of heavy cream, mix 2/3 cup of whole milk with 1/3 cup melted butter. Really, it is that simple. As an alternative, if you don't have milk on hand, you can also use 1/6 cup butter and 7/8 cup half-and-half. There are also a number other substitutes.

      I wonder how full-fat coconut milk would work. It would be tasty with the lemon flavors. You might have to add a little flour-water slurry or cornstarch-water slurry to thicken the sauce before adding the pasta.

      Rita D I actually ended up making this. I just replaced the heavy cream with coconut cream. It was really good and it added a bit more flavor.
