  • This kiwi and feta salad is on another level of deliciousness thanks to a few genius tips from Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain. The fuzzy secret is leaving the skin on the kiwi as it adds a wonderfully crunchy texture to the juiciness of the fruit. This refreshing summer dish can be made ahead of time and retains its crispiness by keeping the dressing at the bottom of the bowl until ready to serve. GET THE RECIPE ►► f52.co/3B339Ge
    PREP TIME: 25 minutes
    SERVES: 4-8
    INGREDIENTS
    5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
5 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
    3 tablespoons honey
    1 garlic clove, finely grated
    1 tablespoon za’atar
    1/4 cup tahini
1 red onion, peeled and finely diced
8 kiwis, firm and not overripe, ends trimmed, chopped into chunks, skins and all
1 large cucumber, seedless or seeded
7 ounces feta, crumbled or roughly chopped
1 handful fresh dill, finely chopped
    2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
Recipe adapted very slightly from Time to Eat: Delicious Meals for Busy Lives (Clarkson Potter, November 2020).

I luv not peeling kiwifruit. I discovered it about 6 years ago. I run it under water, rubbing gently with a nubbly dish rag, then rubbing with a dry nubbly dish rag. It takes off almost all the hairs. Then I eat them like an apple. Just be careful, because 1 end of the kiwifruit has a very sharp spike inside where it was attached to the tree. The spike end has the "button" looking thing.

As a American/kiwi here in nz I think not peeling kiwis is kinda common here, although personally I can't stand it but my mom never peels kiwis ever before eating. however I would recommend eating the skin of organic kiwis only. Good looking salad though. I might try this with kiwiberries though my favorite type of kiwifruit

I just made this salad and it is absolutely delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe. The first time I ate kiwi, I ate it for months without peeling it and loved it. But everyone seems to like it peeled, and I prepare it that way most of the time now. However, I made the recipe with the skin on and enjoyed it very much.

Thank you for this. I was a bit unsure but I've tried two other recipes here and loved it. The addition of the kiwi might sound weird but surprisingly all of the ingredients complement each other beautifully. And I love the dressing as well. Truly one of the best salads I've had.

I do hate peeling, but sometimes it just makes everything more refined and delicious. Like peeling peaches is annoying but the final cobbler or whatever is so much more luxurious. I mostly skip peeling carrots and just scrub them clean in the sink. (edit: also obsessed with Nadiya, love love love)

if you have a cheese shop or a Greek bakery/grocer near you, try using sheep feta, its creamier, saltier, and 100% better than cows milk feta. goats good too to try out, but sheep, sheep's milk takes you to another level. also sheep's feta, kale, green onion, olive oil and a splash of acv ^_^

  • @Bxr12

…… Orrrrrr…. Just keep the vinaigrette in the same little jar you made it in and dress the salad when you’re ready. You can control the amount of vinaigrette that way. Leaving it at the bottom of the bowl and putting the salad on top for tossing later is presenting a stupid “life hack” solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.
