I have been following all your videos and they are great. Can you please tell me when you make the characteristic table, you say the present o/p depends on present input D and previous o/p Qn. But when making the characteristic table you see only D and fill in the char table. Can you please elaborate why you are not seeing value of Qn.
1) You only look at Qn when S=R=0 (Memory => Qn = Qn+1), D FF is basically a simplified version of SR FF. 2) D FF has S and R as complements of each other (=> S != R), thus when CLK=0 (=> Memory) and when CLK=1 (Qn+1 = D) Hope this helps

It is not necessary to use clock in any circuit.Using clock is a precautionary step as it removes stray inputs...
For NAND Gate We Know That 00 = Invalid , 01= Set , 10= Reset , 11=unchanged ..
