Love,Love, Love, these cars. My neighbor had 2 of them in his garage before he passed away. Every once in awhile he would invite me to go with him to "melt the rubber of the Goodyears" (his words). I miss that guy and those Grand Nationals.
Now THIS is the kind of video that got me interested in the channel to start with over a year ago. Not a minute or two here and there about work done to a car and then filled with misc shop happenings. Yet really seeing a video dedicated to one car and what they do to it start to finish. Great work on this one.
My dad owned a Buick Grand National. Nothing like the feeling of being pinned to the back sheet as he put the petal to the metal. In its prime he raced it on the dragway and I’ve seen at least one of the front tires come off the ground with the original V6 engine turbo charged. Good memories!
Oscar rocks, if I were in the Chicago area, and had troubled paint he'd be my go to Correction Specialist. amazing job, on a troubled car. The Grand National is a sharp car, so glad you guys were able to extend her life.
Wow guys man for a 33 year old grand national you guys did amazing job of restoring shine on that car and taking care of it not to damage you guys amazing keep up the awesome joe ! Cheers to the team at Chicago pros👍👍👍👍👍😎
Been watching all of your videos and it helped me out a lot in my business. Not only are they thoroughly detailed but at the same time it keeps you entertained! Respect your shop, would definitely be worth a drive from Detroit!
Wow, I remember that car since I graduated from high school on 1985. Lots of sling from tire shiner. Seems the owner didn't let it seat or used too much. What a black piano look Oscar left on his polishing was astonishing. Xoxo from Puerto Rico 👍🇵🇷
I got to drive one of these off the showroom floor when I was 19 and was grinning like a Cheshire Cat the whole time. They did a stellar job of getting it back to glossy.
Wow!! Great job Oscar! I have a 86 GN with T-tops that I've considered selling. I have the exact same swirl marks. Watching this makes me think I can restore mine instead of having to repaint.
Keep up the quality content. I got over the intimidation of paint correction partly because of your videos. I now have an amazing 16 year old black bmw with fantastic looking paint.
i had a 79 buick regal turbo coupe v6 not many of those were made wish i still had it the Grand national is my dream car i built a model of it when i was a teenager loved it ever since
Thanks for the great content. The transparency of how your shop operates, and the knowledge you drop, shows your value to enthusiasts and customers alike!
I've been watching this channel so much during quarentine, thanks for the awesome content. Also just picked up my first box of supplies from the warehouse yesterday to put this knowledge to use!
Appreciate all the videos. They have been extremely helpful in my own detailing venture. I look forward to videos from both channels when they come out! Thank you again.
I had one of these in 84 when I was in the Air Force, used to pull it under the shade and wash it and put Mother's Wax on it didn't know jack about polishing or anything else back then, now I have almost every product made and a couple of polishers one a Rupes. How times change!
Congratulations on getting towards your goal of 100.000 I remember you making us guess three detailers and one of them was Alan of am details and I rang him to tell him about your TH-cam channel and him putting it on his own channel still love watching your vlogs and will keep own watching them
Funny you mentioned the cracking @ 2:45. It's from the torque. My old man owned 28 87' Grand Nationals and everyone had some cracking, dint or deformation in the exact same spot. Regal T-Types had the same problem. I think T-Tops were worse.
Absolutely me favorite car of all time!!! And to see it in its glory after you guys are done working your magic makes me want to go find an Auto Trader.
