The town has a ‘run down’ feel about it in 2021 due to lack of investment by Calderdale council, BUT it has some excellent real ale pubs which I can heartily recommend as a regular ‘pub tour’ with friends.

Best yet I lived in sowerby Bridge for the first 8 yrs and then up sowerby good to see and remember I have lived in Australia for a long time lovely to see thank you
I live here just off camera up west street, some bits are better, some bits ......not so much.
Went to the grammar school there in the 60s - happy days
Sowerby boys we are here!!! ... all Turkish barbers takeaways vape shops. huge renting praces from British waterways for comertial spaces by the canal. This town had a lot going for it but not now
