Can we get a link for the screen and a tutorial on proper popping out of the dashboard? I have wires I want to run through the dash but I find in my old honda i always broke the clips so is there a tool or technique im not doing properly? I want to run my wires up by the defogger vents on windshield to reach my blue lights and dash cam anything and everything helps me dearly! Thanks man
Great video man. I was scared to remove all those clips at first, thought it was screwed in from somewhere and didn't want things to break. Honda quality 😂😂
Awesome video. It'll help me because I've got to do the same in my roommate's daughter's car. It would have been nice if you would have showed us how you word it all in and added the USB port and the steering control stuff
I have a how to playlist showing all those things. Especially how to wire a radio. I do hundreds of these and wiring up the radio each time will make the vids super long. But i didn't forget about those parts
Did you have to use a tool to be able to put the USB input where the aux input is? Just curious how that was done? My wife has a 2012 Honda Civic and she really needs a radio with CarPlay!
Nevermind just saw your comment of how you drilled a hole and then put that usb mount on it. I still wonder did you use what of those circle saw bits to do it?
I know this video was posted a year ago but I'm trying to hook up the will controls to the new radio but I cant find a diagram of which wires to splice could you help me out??
Do you have another vid showing how to retain steering controls or how or what you used to installed the be radio like adapters where you got the new radio bezal etc...
I do have another video on how to install a CD player and on how to install the steering wheel controls all the parts were made METRA they have a fit guide on their website
For my 2014 civic every time i unplug the radio harness the imid screen says press and hold power button for few seconds to unlock it, did u have to do that as well?
aye brotha, I have a 2012 honda civic lx (stick) and I'm interested in expanding my audio system. I was talking with my dad and he told me if I wanted a sub and new speakers to push, I would have to take out the radio and replace it with another and retain the steering wheel controls. the civic has 4 channels and I need 5 channels. Your touch screen radio seemed pretty neat. I really want to do this however I'm unsure how, or how much it will cost to do so and I don't want to dump too much cash into something I don't know much about. If you have any tips please reach out!
if you want to replace your speakers and add a sub you dont have to replace the radio if you dont want to. you can just use loc or a processor and that will give you your low level rca output for any amps you need
Yea the hardest part my friends have is taking the factory radio out. Installing a CD player is simple and pretty much the same every Time unless there is dash modifications or something tricky that some guys won t know that's when I'll show it being installed but I try to keep the vids short for time
Hello, can somebody help me please, i installed a radio. I installed everything correctly on her car. Got a blown fuse 7.5 acc. I replaced it and the radio dose not TURN ON! What can it be? I got the red cable the yellow and black all connected and nothing!?
I didint see the wires you used. That woulda helped better
i have that exact same dash and radio and there’s like no sound from the aux or radio this is gonna be really helpful
Bluetooth accessible?

How do you reset the TPMS or the oil life indicator with the new head unit?
Will the Bluetooth on the radio be compatible with a 2012 iPhone pro max?

It all still works except for the steering wheel controls and bluetooth stuff. You still get warnings ect
Does the top dashboard still work for the settings?
Do you have another vid showing how to retain steering controls or how or what you used to installed the be radio like adapters where you got the new radio bezal etc...

Did the MIDI display still function properly? Everywhere I look it says you lose clock function with this unit. Any comments?
Everything was retained that I can remember..lol
Good vid I think you rushed it a bit but solid
I have a 2012 Honda Fit ... it doesn’t come factory with a USB port. How would I install the USB port?
with this one all i had to do is drill a hole big enough in the pocket and run the wire here is the one he bought amzn.to/2y4OAoP
Hey man do you have to buy a fascia panel ?
Does your dash have a gap after? Mine did. Cant figure it out
Very small gap. I had to end up fi doing a place to zip tie it close under the radio to a piece of metal to tighten the gap
@@jptheinstallguy it looks like the same gap I have but its cheap plastic so im not suprised if it was bent lol. And the kit is kind of cheap
