@@rigelark7286 nobody watch merantau dude. Such underrated gem. But understandable because it is just like beta for the raid. And more Ongbak flavour than the raid itself
@@yevanasvetya5486 Merantau deserves a watch and more. Despite its "softer" tone than later Raid films, It marked the beginning for the "Raid style" filmmaking. Personally, that film changed how I look Martial Art film forever and it set the bar for other MA films until Raid came out. Since watching Merantau, all the acrobatic moves, slow mo, and wire fighting we normally see in fighting choreographs don't impress me (much) anymore.
It's easy to get confused on the "Mad Dog" part because we remember him as Mad Dog and not his new character. His new character is called Prakoso, Bangun's top assassin. Bejo (cripple) and Uco (Bangun's spoiled son) wanted to instigate a war between Bangun and the Yakuza so killing Bangun's top dog (Prakoso) could send a message. Uco wanted to prove himself worthy of leading a war so that he could impress his father and probably see him as a worthy successor but to do that they needed a "spark" (killing Prakoso). The thing is, Uco knew Prakoso for a long time so he felt he needed to say goodbye to him before betraying him. Killing Prakoso, however, proved useless as Bangun decided to stand down so what Bejo did was send his top 3 assassins to hit Bangun's most important connections and employees.
The best part is when Uco thought Rama's wire (so the police can spy on him) came from Bejo. In the end, Uco would suspect Bejo more than Rama for betraying him. The wrist tattoo didn't help as well since it gave Uco the idea that Bejo was really lying from the beginning and that he was just being used.
The last scene is that japan yakuza was want to help him war because they are crime partner with his bos but they are late n then they ask him to joim them
Headshot and The Night Comes For Us are another movies by these casts that are worth to watch, TNCFU is extremely more violent tho, but the characters are so lovable and colorful.

The weapons used were traditional Indonesian weapons, usually to harvest rice, but in the eyes of the colonialists it was a deadly weapon. We call karambit

From what I hear is that machete guy was set up as the Mad-dog older brothers His brother was go down the dark path first and then 'Mad-dog' follows after. Both are join the same Bangun syndicate but was stationed differently It serves as ironical comparison for Rama and his brother, as his involvement in the timeline was also tempted to join the same fate, but ended up differently since he said his Police 'Uniforms' are fits him better
awesome review guys!! the Raid movies are considered classic action movies that are benchmarks for today's realistic action movies. the cinematography, action choreography, editing and sound mixing are on point for a low budget film. kudos to the actors and director Gareth Evans. launched alot of careers in Hollywood and furthered his career as a director in the US and England. best wishes to the both of you! and hopefully they will make more films like these in the future! try watching the South korean film "Man from Nowhere". it's a great story and action too. btw you two are also hilarious and very entertaining! new subscriber from California😀
I say I equally love the first and second movies. They have differences that set them apart. Really, the only problem I had with Raid 2 is that I wish Mad Dog 2.0 teamed up with Rama in the end against that bald karambit dude, hammer girl, and baseball boy. Like a 2 v 3 thing which could have made a more dynamic grand fight of sorts.

They even travel to other universe together to fight legendary John Wick.

Really cool detail in the boss fights at the end is that Rama kills each of them with their own weapons: stabs Hammer Girl in the neck with her own hammer; bludgeons Bat Boy's face with his own bat; and slices the Assassin up with his own knife
>THE RAID 1. >THE RAID 2. >THE NIGHT COME FOR US. Because of the fight in this film, it's like not describing martial arts, but only about "Killing the opponent". If you look at the details of how the combat moves, it's as if depicting a real-world battle (Main beat with random movements with the aim of hurting or killing).
Just FYI, the hammer girl (played by Julie Estelle) never played in action movie before. That is her first fight scene. And for your another info, the main char (Iko Uwais) uses Indonesian martial art called Pencak Silat. and for the last info, the knife guy and maddog fight keanu reaves in John Wick 3.
If I am not mistaken the director wanted to shoot the original gangster movie but he hadn't got enough money to do that. That is why he shoot the Raid:Redemption. And the Raid 2 is that gangster movie he planned first. Sequel would be better without fight scenes because the story itself is really good where Rama is not.main character actually
FYI, maddog (Yayan Ruhian aka Prakoso) and the assassin (Cecep Arif Rahman) is also on John Wick 3 : Parabellum using the same fighting style and the karambit weapon, both fighting john. If you're interested please react to that scene as well
This is the 3rd movie in a trilogy of this Indonesian “Monty Python” crew where the director has used the same cast members from all 3 movies at some point in all 3 movies. First one was Marentau which is similar to the movie Ong Bak, really good but all hand to hand, no guns.
fun fact is that, the cast who played the villain who killed mad dog , and rama's opponent on the kitchen , is actually one of the martial art trainer for the Indonesian presidential guard squad. Rama, Mad Dog, and him are true martial art experts
The ending rama actually say : no more , its enough (that mean no more fight for the raid 3, rama already drunk for fight he cant fight anymore, the ending up to the Viewer perpective rama live or die)
33:28 they use the same technique of Silat, which means they came from the same martial art school... it's like fighting your own brother, tiger against tiger... it is sad but have to be done
Best part of these movies is most of the cast/fight scene crew are just regular people with day jobs. Knife henchman....he is/was a math teacher before doing this movie.

@@naruii5160 heard it somewhere, can't really remember. They used multiple cameras and they had to train to get the fight choreography perfect for those 6 months, but the fight scene itself is meant to be one continuous shot from using multiple cameras and angles, then obviously edited. I think it was Gareth himself that said this, I could be wrong about that, but I'm sure I heard it in an interview. Either that or I'm going delusional lol
@@abrimfulofasha ah ok, thats cool, that makes more sense to be honest. i just figured you were making shit up cuz thats just what people on the internet do lol.

Greetings, I’m your Indonesian subscribers way before you reacted to The Raid. Thankyou for every content you create, love you both 😁
22:48 the gloves comment then "never trust someone who where's sunglasses inside'' *literally 1 second later sees woman wearing sunglasses in side ''I DON'T TRUST HER''
well, you have finished the raid, now continue to THE NIGHT COME FOR US
Next "the night comes for us" Netflix
Is it as good as raid
@@wrath5454 it's okay.. the raid is better imo but I'd say it's a bit more brutal and the soundtrack is amazing.
Watch "Headshot (2016)" first before jumping into "TNCFU". Better yet watch "Merantau (2009)" before all that.
They all made by same Raid team (majority of it).
Since watching Merantau, all the acrobatic moves, slow mo, and wire fighting we normally see in fighting choreographs don't impress me (much) anymore.
the raid fanbase are one of the loyal fanbase i've met. even if the raid came out years ago, they still watch videos related to the raid. bravo!
The night comes for us.. The only raid 3 possible close
The last scene is that japan yakuza was want to help him war because they are crime partner with his bos but they are late n then they ask him to joim them
You gotta watch "The Night Comes for Us " and "Headshot". They all are Iko Uwais movies (The Night Comes for Us is the best out the 4 movies)💡👍
Headshot and The Night Comes For Us are another movies by these casts that are worth to watch, TNCFU is extremely more violent tho, but the characters are so lovable and colorful.
Yep. No one who has seen both The Raids first and then goes on to TNCFU believes that it's more brutal more than both combined. Then they see it and are like: Oh. You weren't joking. 😂
Here we go!! 🔥🔥 One of my fave martial arts movies
The Kitchen fight is the most intense scene in this movie for sure!
Also, this is my first time watching you guys and I just noticed that Kacee looks like Lindsy Lohan lol great reaction and analysis, guys! Really like the fact that you just didn't watch and react to it but you also analyzed it so kudos!
I love how into it they get towards the end!
The weapons used were traditional Indonesian weapons, usually to harvest rice, but in the eyes of the colonialists it was a deadly weapon.

The Director of this film actually said that he made The Raid 2 as a first film..but the production don't have enough budget so he made a new story to link the Raid 2 movie which is Raid redemption..
Yeahh I really appreciate that you guys really pay attention to this movies, best reaction tho, next please react to "The Night Comes for us (2021)" Cast - Joe Taslim(Sargent from The Raid 1) & Iko Uwais(Rama from the raid)
From what I hear is that machete guy was set up as the Mad-dog older brothers
His brother was go down the dark path first and then 'Mad-dog' follows after. Both are join the same Bangun syndicate but was stationed differently
It serves as ironical comparison for Rama and his brother, as his involvement in the timeline was also tempted to join the same fate, but ended up differently since he said his Police 'Uniforms' are fits him better
"Show them they didn't send enough people" made me laugh way too hard
awesome review guys!! the Raid movies are considered classic action movies that are benchmarks for today's realistic action movies. the cinematography, action choreography, editing and sound mixing are on point for a low budget film. kudos to the actors and director Gareth Evans. launched alot of careers in Hollywood and furthered his career as a director in the US and England. best wishes to the both of you! and hopefully they will make more films like these in the future! try watching the South korean film "Man from Nowhere". it's a great story and action too. btw you two are also hilarious and very entertaining! new subscriber from California😀
Can't wait for you to dive into Jackie Chan and the modern classics, like Crouching Tiger & Hidden Dragon, Hero etc.
Facts. No one does action like jackie, that dude is straight nuts lol
This was really fun to watch, you guys got really into it haha.
I say I equally love the first and second movies. They have differences that set them apart.
Really, the only problem I had with Raid 2 is that I wish Mad Dog 2.0 teamed up with Rama in the end against that bald karambit dude, hammer girl, and baseball boy.
Like a 2 v 3 thing which could have made a more dynamic grand fight of sorts.
if you already watch the raid, please react The night come for us, The night come four us is even more brutal than the raid and the cast is still Joe Taslim and Iko Uwais
Up
and don't forget 'hammer girl' of raid 2 is there as well...
Who ever thought the best Director for R-Rated martial arts movies would be a Welsh guy of all things?!
For real, this movie kicks ass! I remember the morose chuckle when the left the baseball bat in the guy's face
Ive been waiting for you guys to react to this!!
Thank you haha!
*THE LAST SCENE*
Those Japanese Gang impressed by RAMA and they are offering RAMA: "Lets eat suchi and sake." 😁
You guys deserve more views, this is a fun reaction video
"The night comes for Us" , that the movie you guys should react if you like Raid series...its Indonesian too, with same fighting choreografer team behind it. The different is, Iko Uwais ( Rama on Raid ) plays the antagonist againts Jo Taslim ( Sub zero on Mortal combat )
No, don't jump into TNCFU just yet. Instead, watch "Merantau (2009)" and "Headshot (2016) first before watching TNCFU.
That's the "proper way" to enjoy "Raid series".
you guys have to watch The Night Comes For Us, same like The Raid, but......, it will blow your minds
Is it just me or does anyone wanna see a prakoso spin off? He was criminally underused in this.
you guys must watch the next sequel, "the night comes for us"
@Muhammad Alif Endriva iya bro, biar clickbait aja
Great reaction guys - would love to see more movie reactions from you two.
Two actors from this movie are in John Wick 3. Also him punching the wall will put callouses on his knuckles to make them stronger.
He actually punched the wall then? That's crazy.
The kitchen fights scene was 6 minutes long and was done all in one shot. Imagine having to learn the fight choreography for that long without making any mistakes what so ever.
This is a sequel that surpasses the original in my opinion.
@@abrimfulofasha yea bro ppl actually do that in real life. Ive seen ppl stable a phone book to the wall so after they punch through their knuckles will be strong enough to handle the wall
Fun fact: the knife guy is an English teacher irl 😂
wow....the reaction was amazing....i'm flattered because one of our country's famous films received positive appreciation....don't forget that Indonesia also has other great films....hopefully I can still see your reaction to movies from our country...thank you
The last fight scene is what always gets people hooked
His bones are hardened from the years & decades of training his fists on hard surfaces.he’s probably broken almost every bone in those hands for them to be twice as hard. Boxers hands that’s been boxing for decades also have similar thing.
Trust me I'm an Indonesian and there is no prison like that in here. And There is no Snow in Indonesia
No... there it is.. we have snow on Indonesia.. dont lie if there is snow here on Papua. Just go check and verify something before u go blastin on foreign youtube comment section. God sake.. are u the type of somebody that are tryin pretending to be Indonesian.. huh.??

This is my story about Mad Dog:
Prakoso in The Raid 2 is Mad Dog. Mad Dog feel bored in the fight so he play dead and take a nap.
Mad Dog can move so fast that he can work for different mavia group without being noticed.
Mad Dog didn't die in second movie either because he and the assassin are friend. They even travel to other universe together to fight legendary John Wick.
In the end of the scene Rama said "cukup" it mean "enough"
"I'm done" I think it's not the correct word to describe it, because you think that he's gonna die.
He said "it's enough"
Artinya Im done itu apa bro
@@davidbeckham7802 mereka membaca teks dalam filmnya "I'm done" artinya aku selesai, itu bisa juga di artikan "aku akan mati"
Padahal Iko Uwais bilang "cukup",, seharusnya subtitle di filmnya ditulis "it's enough". Artinya cukup untuk sekarang ini,, artinya dia masih akan melanjutkan hidup.
Jadinya penonton bule pada salah paham, dikira si Rama akan mati.
@@makantidur3434 Nah iya pinter jg u hehe..
@@makantidur3434 im done itu artinya ya udah cukup, ga mau lagi. exampl, "im done with you!" artinya bisa kira2 "Cukup! gw udah cape/muak ama lo" "nggak mau urusan lagi ama lo". jadi im done udah bener.

Rama and mike welberg in "22 mile" movie, you guys must see that movie...
It’s very cook that Maddog and the knife guy fight side by side against Keanu in John Wick 3
You guys really into this movie, love your reaction
Thanks for react.. 🙏🏽 salam dr subscriber Indonesia 🤝🏼
With The Raid 2 under your belt, welcome to the long itch for The Raid 3 like the rest of us
at the end of the story someone says the raid 3? and rama says "no, enough" 🤣
Really cool detail in the boss fights at the end is that Rama kills each of them with their own weapons: stabs Hammer Girl in the neck with her own hammer; bludgeons Bat Boy's face with his own bat; and slices the Assassin up with his own knife
By far one of the best and most brutal films I've ever seen
>THE RAID 1.
>THE RAID 2.
>THE NIGHT COME FOR US.
Because of the fight in this film, it's like not describing martial arts, but only about "Killing the opponent". If you look at the details of how the combat moves, it's as if depicting a real-world battle (Main beat with random movements with the aim of hurting or killing).
5:59 when you mention zombies I remember TRAIN TO BUSAN. This is one of the best zombie movies. I hope you can react guys
Love the reaction !! Keep up the good work !!
The filmmaking is incredible in this movie
Well if you want more, you could check out Merantau (2009). Made before the Raid, same film maker, director, and main actor.
you two really make a big smile on my face all the time.. thank you
Just FYI, the hammer girl (played by Julie Estelle) never played in action movie before. That is her first fight scene. And for your another info, the main char (Iko Uwais) uses Indonesian martial art called Pencak Silat.
and for the last info, the knife guy and maddog fight keanu reaves in John Wick 3.
Off-topic, but I get jealous whenever I see your Whataburger cup D: All we have in UT is In-n-Out so far!
Love your reaction guys! Now do "The Night Comes For Us" !
The Raid is one of my favorite Indonesian films
Now it's time to watch ( the night come for us) it Will below your mind
continued Reaction Film Mile 22, played by actor Iko Uwais who became Rama in the Raid film
There is also a Raid 2 deleted scene that is about 5 mins long called Gang War. You should check that out
FYI, maddog (Yayan Ruhian aka Prakoso) and the assassin (Cecep Arif Rahman) is also on John Wick 3 : Parabellum using the same fighting style and the karambit weapon, both fighting john.
YESSSS! Been waiting for this.
It’s confirmed Rama lives. The subtitles don’t show it but the conversation boils down to the yakuza letting him go free
Nice...you have many subtitles
The ending rama actually say : no more , its enough (that mean no more fight for the raid 3, rama already drunk for fight he cant fight anymore, the ending up to the Viewer perpective rama live or die)
33:28 they use the same technique of Silat, which means they came from the same martial art school... it's like fighting your own brother, tiger against tiger... it is sad but have to be done
36:39 the best part 😂😂
I think it was pretty obvious the Japanese asked does Yama want to work for them and that’s why Rama said no he’s done
Best part of these movies is most of the cast/fight scene crew are just regular people with day jobs. Knife henchman....he is/was a math teacher before doing this movie.
