  • Seattle just launched 3 new light rail stations, so we're testing them out! Warning, we skipped a few of the stops because of exhaustion.

I miss Seattle. 😢 I lived there from 2003 to 2019 before moving home to Maui. For 12 years I lived downtown without a car. I rented out my parking space and used the money on a boat slip instead, next to the locks. I could walk or take the light rail or ferries or my boat to get everywhere. With the senior discount Orca pass, it was so cheap to roam to so many cool places. Funny you went to the Seaboard building, literally the heart of downtown. I looked at a unit there and strongly considered it. I ended up at 5th & Madison, across from the Central Library, two blocks from work, seven blocks from the waterfront and with every store you can name within eight blocks, not to mention restaurants and parks. Some days I would walk on to the ferry and make the lovely voyage for a bit of shopping and lunch on one of the islands.

Can you please do another video where you go to the stations that you skipped in this video? I would like to see all of them, if possible, please!

You know your city's subway sucks when you need a car to reach it.

We’re hoping to relocate to Seattle in a few years, but love visiting in the mean time! We’re a family of four and by far our biggest expense while visiting has been renting a car. Do you think it would be reasonable to get around exclusively via public transit next time? We usually stay in Ballard, have friends in Queen Anne, and will likely want to check out up to Shoreline and down to West Seattle per your neighborhood guide video next time 😊
