    Nice! Thank you for uploading this video! So helpful. I'm hoping to take a day trip to Seattle soon...and I always prefer to use public transportation in the cities I visit because it's cheaper and I can avoid dealing with car rentals, the hassles of traffic, and finding (and paying for) parking...and I get to sight see on my way!

    Hi Christina! I was just telling my nieces about your video and how it got me from the SeaTac to Link Light Rail...they wanted to see for themselves. We loved it...the music, your calm voice (incase Im freaking out that I'm lost), Jonathan being a good sport, the speed-through when it was a long segment, the walk-through on using the ticket and the over all quality of the video! Good job guys!!!!

    Last time I went to Seattle, we stayed at that Westin. Then, we were with a group so there was ground transportation provided. We are headed there tomorrow but this time I need to take the Link. I found it amusing that we are going to be doing virtually the same exact thing as your video including staying at the Westin again.

    Sometimes if you fly alaska you will end up in the international terminal. Unless you did fly internationally then you will go through customs but if you did not then you will just take the train to the ABC or D gates you will need to tale the train if you are coming from the N or S gates, if you are flying alaska you will not end up at the same spot they did you sill end up on the other side. I would recommend getting the fly SEA app it is extremely helpful and will help you navigate to anywhere on airport property, it will also give you flight updates and prices for stuff.

    Be sure to take into account the disruption possible to link schedules and routes by big events like baseball games. I almost missed my flight at SeaTac last Sunday due to a Mariners game. Instead of going directly to the airport from Northgate I had to transfer first to a bus and then to another light rail. Really sucked, but on the plus side, Sound Transit employees were uniformly helpful and friendly.

    • @JonathanCristina
      @JonathanCristina  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Andy! I think the walk took about 10 min and should be about 4/10 mile according to some sites. Apparently you can request a golf cart if you can't do the walk... www.soundtransit.org/ride-with-us/stations/link-light-rail-stations/seatac-airport-station
      We didnt use an orca card :) have fun in Seattle in October!

    Nice video, but you left out a key FREEBIE that they offer, a shuttle from the parking garage to the Light Rail terminal. It picks you up right before that long, long walkway. I laughed at people walking as I rode along this past weekend. Also mention that seniors, like me, ride the Light Rail for only ONE DOLLAR. And as far as Uber being faster, that would depend on traffic. Light Rail rules!

    Thank you so much for this video! I am very nervous to take it. Does it announce the stations you are at so you know which one to get off or do you need to count the stops?

    • @wendellcoleman1137
      @wendellcoleman1137 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there's another youtube video that shows the entire route. There is an electronic sign, similar to what you see on the front of busses, in each car that shows what station you're stopping at, plus as you're leaving one station, there's a verbal announcement overhead that tells you what the next stop is and there's another announcement, a short time later, that will tell you what station you're pulling into. You'd have to be passed out or asleep to miss the announcements and the electronic message boards. Additionally, there are street sign kind of things in each stop that gives the name of the station you're at, which will give you time to get to the exit before the train fully stops.
