    Thank you! I’ve been renting cars as I usually travel all over WA and hike. This trip I’m just staying around downtown so I’m skipping a rental to save money. I was worried about how to find the Light Rail but I feel very confident now.

      @@robinholliday2193 there are too many people out there wanted to know ... And, I know that ,because, I live just 5 minutes away from SeaTac airport and doing Lyft & Uber and people asked me question how easily to get to downtown, honestly, I will tell them about the link light rail, even while they are in my car after requesting UBER or Lyft, they thanked me but say "you are honest, I am already in your car and take me to downtown, but when I get back, I will try the public transportation like the Link rail...", it's funny, but yesterday, I put the same video on my TH-cam channel ... The point is it's not informative as yours but I think it helps too, again, thanks.

    Thank you for this...it is going to be very helpful when I arrive this July. A quick question please. Do you know if bicycles are allowed on the tran from the airport to downtown?

    • @robinholliday2193
      @robinholliday2193 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are allowed! Sometimes the trains can fill up if it's busy at the airport so when it arrives to the station, head to the last train as it is usually less full. There are hooks for bikes near some of the doors but some people just hold there bike and stay of to the side. Have fun in July!

    informative and to the point. 👍
    I heard there is a app you can use to buy the tickets for the light rail instead of the kiosk is that true?

    • @robinsrambles6634
      @robinsrambles6634  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the feedback! Check out kingcounty.gov/depts/transportation/metro/fares-orca/transit-go-ticket.aspx for that app. It's fairly new and could be handy for multiple rides during a visit. If you are new to the area and aren't just visiting, getting an Orca card will be the way to go. If you try the app, let me know how it works out.

    I’ll be there as a travel nurse , do these trains accept orca cards? And does the airport have a station I can purchase an orca card? Would the card be usable immediately after? Also have you heard of VIA public transit ?

    • @robinsrambles6634
      @robinsrambles6634  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use an orca card but I do not recall a place to purchase them at the airport. If you have some time before traveling, you could order one online and have it delivered before your trip. There used to be a place at Westlake station but I'm not sure if it's still a thing with the pandemic and everything. I have not heard of VIA.

    Once you purchase the tickets, is there a scanner around to scan your ticket to prove you paid or deduct your fare from the balance?

    • @robinholliday2193
      @robinholliday2193 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Those scanners will be located at the entrances of the light rail stations and also down in the tunnels. You don't need to scan tickets, just cards if those are purchases for longer stays.

    Question 1:25 is it possible to use an ORCA card here instead of buying a paper ticket? Is there a device to "tap" an ORCA card at the Airport light rail station? A friend of mine is going to snail mail me her physical ORCA card since she exclusively uses her phone app now.

    • @robinholliday2193

    • @robinsrambles6634

      Hi there! No worries. You'll ride the lightrail for 9 stops and get off at the Int'l Dist/Chinatown Station and then walk a block to King Street Station. I recommend using Google maps for specifics but if you say that you are starting at SeaTac and ending at King Street Station, it will give you everything you need. I hope this helps!
