Update: there is a foil / metal-ish sticker one the tire that touches the rim they were supposed to remove before installation but did not. They were very dismissive about it the FIRST time I brought it in and was pretty obvious they did not take the tires off to check. So i had to bring in a SECOND time with more videos and add links to other posts on the internet about it. When i picked it up they admit there was a sticker on 3 of the wheels and they have never seen that before - although there are a lot of posts about the same exact issue online.
this is caused by the plastic bar code on the tire. the person who assembled your tire and wheel forgot to remove this., have them remove it and for sure that sound will be gone..
The whole time I thought it was something I caused until one day I pulled into a gas and a white Tesla drove past me, making the same exact noise. I couldn’t believe it. So I decided to look on the Internet for the answer. 😅
DUDE SAME ISSUE. Had may MYP for 2 weeks only and EXACT issue. Was it the ball join or upper control arms? Edit: my dude I found out the issue. Taking it to SC Saturday per my scheduled. Take yours back>have them remove rim from the tire>inside tire wheel well along the bead lining of the tire rim there is a manufacturers sticker. Once removed it will solve the issue. That’s why it makes the noise at a certain revolution point.
@@tasty_waves yeah it's weird. Mine is also brand new with the Michelin pilot 4s. It sounds loud if the window is down but can't hear it if the window is up.
It's the stickers on the bead line. Had the same issue with my car and had it fixed yesterday at my local tire shop. Sound is gone once the stickers were removed. They were a hard type plastic
I can confirm it is the sticker on bead line! Only one of my tires was making this god awful sound. They took rim off removed sticker and now there is no sound!
Just took the car to SC today. Told them noise might be caused by a sticker inside the tire. After taking one tire off the rim the squeaky sound is gone. On the invoice it says there is no sticker inside the tire. They can fix it for free but would admit the issue.... I guess they try to avoid recall since lots of folks haven't realized the noise.
My guess would be new suspension… I’m not really sure but it seems like everytime the car hits a rock or something it squeaks. I would drive it for a few hundred miles and if it’s still doing that take it back to them.

Same problem with my 21" MYP wheels, and dismounting the tires/removing sticker resolved the problem. Thanks!

Scheduled service as soon as I heard it but appts are weeks out so glad it’s not something damaging the car

350 miles on day 6 so not sure if its a time thing. same sound on any flat surface, would the suspension come into play still?

I have the same squeaky noise symptom on my 1 week old MYP. Quite annoying. Will open a ticket with my local SC.

Idk what kind of rotors those cars have but it could be a warped rotor or a wheel weight rubbing the brake caliper.
it sounds like 3 of the 4 wheels are making the same sound
Sounds like a crack in ur rim or something is loose
if it was just one maybe, but its the same squeak once per rotation on 3 of the 4 wheels
