Everything you said is my story too. I know my dentist didn’t believe me when I said I had no energy to brush my teeth at the end of the day, or even in the morning. It sometimes takes me three days to work up the energy to shower. After that there is no energy or strength left to even hold a toothbrush. I have just discovered the ANS connection after 30 years of this misery. Wish me luck.

    I had very similar symptoms
    Symptoms:
Panic (could not go to the grocery store due to fear of panicking in public)
Anxiety (racing thoughts feeling like I was dying, thought I had a brain tumor, horrible Brain fog,)
    Overwhelming sense of dread
    Lightheadedness
Had no energy to speak (felt like a drag and felt like I needed to muster the last bit of energy to do it)
    No appetite
Cold and sweaty feet and hands
    Dry mouth
    Neck and shoulder tension
    Chronic fatigue
Odd facial and head sensations especially behind face in area of nasal cavity and temples (pins and needles or pressure)
    Constant diarrhea
Insomnia did not sleep a whole year to wanting to sleep all the time (remember do not feel guilty to sleep..if your body is tired it’s telling you for a reason. Tell yourself you deserve it)
I didn’t want to leave the house in fear I would have these symptoms out in public, but staying home would also trigger it. Family and friends said that I aged 5 years in a single year. I had gone through a really bad breakup and thought my ex would do whatever she could to take my kids away from me. That in addition to being inside for a whole year due to pandemic. My uncle and grandmother passed away within the same year. You don’t realize what toll some stressors could take on the body. Whoever is going through this stay strong and seek help in friends, family or medical practitioners.

@@santeenlThere's nothing healthy with eating wheat. Gluten should be avoided when you are suffering from adrenal fatigue. It's very inflammatory and raises the blood sugar - which leads to more stress - adrenals needs to work more. A vicious cycle. Fat and meat is very important since they are the food for the parasympathetic nervous system. Helps the body to relax. Carbs is food for the sympathetic nervous system.

This is very frightening because I run out of energy so fast, like every 2 hours. This is very limiting right now on what I can do and where I can go without bringing food with me!! I really appreciate this video! I’m in the midst of yet another crash. I thought I’d learned my lesson from the last big one but I became preoccupied with world events. So.. the last couple of years I did most everything that we are not supposed to do with weakened adrenals - consumed stimulating foods, obsessed over negative events that are out of my control and attempted physical activity that was too much for me.

I went through all this and still 10 years later but not as intense.
I think it's in many ppl, it's caused by medication such as antidepressants and meds in the benzodiazapeins like xanax , Klonopin etc
Most Drs have No clue how to wean ppl off this crap. Dr Josef on TH-cam speaks of this ..in protracted withdrawal
ALL these bizarre horrific symptoms are mentioned.
It's a nightmare and definitely feel alone in it as far as "loved ones/friends"
Im clinging to the Lord...i have medical trauma/treatments, as any "help" I've desperately searched for has made me chronically and horribly worse, they call it fibromyalgia...i call it poisoning.😖🤯

I am Cynthia’s husband and carer. Without me Cynthia would not survive. I don’t think she is bad as you have been but perhaps worse in other conditions. Like you she has been assessed as having liver issues ( congested liver). People , friends, telephone and she puts on her telephone voice and comes off the call and cries. The same caller will say to me that Cynthia sounds better. If on rare occasions I take her out in the car and she is seen by neighbours, they often report that she looks better.
Your Webb sight and support is of tremendous help to us both.

Many people don’t know of it or the doctors so it’s very easy to feel alone and frightened. Also , people that you know , friends etc. can’t even understand it. There are so many symptoms to deal with constantly. I am so happy that Cynthia has you. What a tremendous relief for her. If you too have any questions as the caregiver please do not hesitate to ask.

Adrenal fatigue is in part caused by hyper vigilance or response to alarms and threats. The adrenals are triggered to fight or flight and the repetitive nerve excitations wears down the nerve endings . Focus is lost because they are still responding to the now past alarm. People who are sensitive like this are often good sentinels of looming disasters IF they are not too turned on to the adrenal flash. Imagine a cat that senses something and the hair stands up. In fact animal reactions are one of the first warning signs in earthquake situations. And humans are in part animals.

I recognize all these symptoms. I developed this adrenal fatigue after I had a burnout from a betrayal and disappointment that left me very angry. I couldn’t accept what was happening and I was consuming myself with anger. This happened in 2018 and I’m still trying to recuperate. The insomnia I developed from it has made the road to recovery even longer. A real vicious circle. I learned an important lesson from this. The only people who don’t get adrenal fatigue are those who don’t give a hoot about anything. They never get affected by anyone or anything.

Oh yes I have all these symptoms for years now . Anemia, so tired and wired all the time . Go to sleep around 3 or 4 in the morning and woke up after two hours , my longest night was 4 hours but waking up in between as well . In the beginning loosing weight over night and eating like mad during the night .dropped down to 39 kilo and I am a tall girl. It was as the life was being sucked out of especially during the nights. Now after 5 years my all of hair fell out and body hair as well. Lots of doctors don’t want to recognize this so called illness . I was rushed to hospital with heart palpitations and anemia it’s very frustrating to say the least . Hope you are doing better now . Kindness and light sending your way ❤

      @petra3049  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

I’m sorry I couldn’t get back to you sooner. Truthfully, these symptoms are common to many conditions and causes so there is really no way to clearly delineate a diagnosis for you. Perimenopause could increase the likelihood of these symptoms or contribute to a predisposition of AFS . As we know long Covid symptoms could also present these symptoms or contribute to AFS. In the same regard Long Covid could stress your body and contribute to perimenopausal symptoms as well. The effect of hormones on our physiology particularly in women has traditionally been understated. Both AFS and perimenopause are primarily affected by our hormonal cycles this it’s hard to distinguish if one is triggering the other. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. I’m just trying to be forthright. Please if I can be more helpful let me know. 💖Petra

These tests were done 2 months ago and all are within the limits: Haemoglobin, Sodium, Potassium, Urea, Creatinine, eGFR (CKD-EPI), Urate, Triglycerides, Glucose fasting, Vit B12, THS (thyroid), cortisol. Total Cholestrol dropped from 8.3 to 6.9 since December 2022. Through all the years all blood tests were normal.
I was diagnosed with depression in 1988 and fibromyalgia in 2007.
I was semi-bedridden from December 1999 to June 2003 because of fatigue. The dosage of the Fluoxetine was too low.

This is so common as you may know that labs can come back quite normal. There is a huge psychological component to AFS so it is very important to work with how we are thinking on a daily basis. Staying as calm as possible and avoiding as much stress as possible because when we feel these symptoms are body has become stuck in fight and flight and is interpreting through our 5 senses as everything is a threat somehow. We must listen to all soothing and inspirational things. No dramas, nothing depressing. Do you know how to meditate at all? Our goal is to work with the mind- to do whatever we can to try to get the body to understand it isn't in constant threat.

@@petra3049 too many symptoms to list… and they shift wildly and unpredicably. I can wake with typical physical anxiety symptoms, intensely too, then they change to complete numbness. Although numb I still know there is high anxiety under it - muscles clenched and mental anguish and the feeling I’m dying and no idea why. They change again later in the day to burning sensations and pin pricks on various parts of my skin. It’ll calm down briefly then muscle clenching anxiety when I’m trying to sleep at night. So much insomnia. Whether jsut wide awake as if I drank a pot of coffee or it’s continuous waking with anxiety and panic until morning. I get the fog you describe as well as derealization which feels like I’m in a dream. I can’t walk right now so I can’t get up and pace when adrenaline gets me restless.
My brain feels sickly or too exhausted to think. I whisper since talking takes a lot of strength and it overstimulates me because of the vibration of my voice. Noise and light sensitivity. And I wish I could mentally follow along with a tv show plot so I can get my mind off things for awhile. But I’m not at that point yet. Camera moves too quick for my eyes and the plot lines are too fast for my brain. There’s much more I just can’t recall it all.

Until the body feels like it is not under such a threat your emotions with start to come more forward. Again, people are so different so what may happen to you may not be the case for someone else. Stay hydrated, eat as well as you can and you may get hungry more often so you will have to eat more often. Doesn't mean huge meals but eat smaller meals more often if you have too. What stage are you in at this time, do you know? There are many things that are helpful for all of this. What are you presently doing to help yourself? There is a lot of valuable information in my videos I don't know if you have seen all of them. Try to find a specialist in adrenal fatigue. I went to Dr. Lam out of California. There are of course others who specialize in AFS. Also, you want to try to eat in a healthy way. A huge piece is getting the limbic system to calm down. Our sympathetic nervous system is basically stuck in fight and flight response. We are working on getting our systems into the parasympathetic nervous system. We do this by having all soothing information going into our bodies. Meditation, positive thoughts, gratitude, not listening to anything sad, dramatic, listening to soothing things. Watch your computer usage, phone usage and talking. Don't argue with anyone and stay away from people that provoke you. The list goes on. We have to try to stay as calm as possible during the ride of your life. Look at my other videos. There also is what's called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique-Tapping) Nick Ortner- , The Gupta Program/The Secret of Amygdala Retraining, DNRS by Annie Hoppier -Dynamic Neural Retraining System, this is to name a few. You have to see what you are able to handle- for a lot of us in the advanced stages it feels too overwhelming so you have to see if you are able to handle it or not. The important thing is you don't want to do something that feels like it will create even more stress for you. Everyone has their own timetable with everything. I listened to Louise Hay- she is easy and a great teacher. Doing some coloring with markers in adult coloring books helped me alot. I had to stay focused so it helped me with the horrendous anxiety. Also, knitting or crocheting. Things that keep you focused. If it gets stressful than put it down. I really did listen to a lot on TH-cam that helped me between gorgeous music, meditations, spiritual teachers, motivational speakers, anything that I could get my mind on to help me learn and stay calm and grow. I hope this is helpful. It's a huge topic. xoxo Petra

Tension headaches and brainfog how to resolve?

    • @petra3049
      @petra3049  หลายเดือนก่อน

I don't know what stage you are in. I had so much pain in my head continuously. It was brutal. I did try some Advil at times but for me it didn't help much. I really was trying to take in healthy things so that my liver could gently detox. Stay hydrated with water. Make sure you are paying attention to your eating. Watch your time on phone screens, computers, tv. Listen to soothing, inspirational things. Nature videos with sounds is great. I could handle these videos on You Tube well. Watch how much you talk. Talking when very ill with AFS creates a lot of tension and uses a lot of energy. When having brain fog it is tricky to immediately resolve. Many people may try to detox with something or go on various supplements which can make you feel worse and cause you to feel worse. In the advanced stages you need to be careful what you try as far as supplements. My brain fog was quite bad for some time because I was in the advance stages of AFS. Dr. Lam on You Tube has some videos on brain fog. For me this took time and as I was starting to heal it was feeling better.

We feel so poorly that we are frightened and also this illness makes you feel frightened naturally because we are not able to handle even barely our emotions. We are trying to get our body out of being stuck in fight and flight and freeze. Talk here about how you feel it is a safe place. Get it out of your mind and body. Listen to all soothing. Try not to be scrolling or being on your devices a lot. Talking can be hard too. If have to for work take a lot of breaks. This is a very psychological illness.
