It is Wrong to Replace of substitute Jesus with images.

Using images of how Jesus supposed to look like, is actually worshiping the images the idols other than Christ.

I have written thousands of Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding who is Jesus. Many will hear but do not understand; so they use Ignorance as A Lost and Confused Creation to just delete it. But let's get I son of man understanding. Way above this DEAD almighty world of CREATION and universe lies * the Spiritual world of ONE GOD OF POWER TRUE LOVE; WHO SO LOVE THIS DEAD ALMIGHTY WORLD OF CREATION; SOWN 25% SPIRITUAL POWER AND SALVATION OF ONE GOD OF POWER TRUE LOVE TO SAVE CREATION FROM DESTRUCTION. Therefore 5% was SOWN as the Spiritual salvation of all the Dead almighty God Seed of Creation; as OUR LORD*. Then Sown 4% Spiritual Salvation unto *MAN AS 1% AS THE PHYSICAL SALVATION AS ADAM*. Let's all remember the Dead almighty god's seed of creation include the 10 WHITE ALMIGHTY GOD SEED OF CREATION MALES AND FEMALES AS SATAM MALE/FEMALE. Where Adam as The BLACK UNFAITHFUL SEED OF CHRIST MADE IN IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF CHRIST. Where Adam failed as the Black Unfaithful seed of Christ; therefore GOD JESUS AS 15% SPIRITUAL COMFORTER HAD TO COME AS SON OF MAN/ADAM; BORN OF A BLACK UNFAITHFUL SEED OF CHRIST/MARY; OUR VIRGIN MARY AND CONCEIVED BY ANGEL OF OUR LORD; AS WHITE SUPREMACY SPIRITUAL SALVATION. AS WE ALL COULD UNDERSTAND TODAY AS MY SELF A CREOLE SEED AS THE TEMPLE; TEMPLE OF GOD JESUS ONLY. SO NATURALLY, AS DAVID SON IS REFERRING TO THE BLESSED TEMPLE ONLY THE ALMIGHTY FLESH; NOT THE SPIRIT WITHIN THE FLESH. FOR GOD JESUS IS THE ONLY SON OF; WITH 15% SPIRITUAL SALVATION *SON OF ONLY ; ONLY ONE GOD OF POWER TRUE LOVE. SO AS WE COULD SEE GOD JESUS IS 15% OF ONE GOD OF POWER TRUE LOVE; GOD JESUS NEVER DIE; BUT ONLY THE BLESSED TEMPLE; TEMPLE OF GOD JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED AND NAIL TO A CROSS. GOD JESUS CANNOT BECOME A MAN; BECAUSE GOD JESUS IS 15% SPIRITUAL SALVATION OF ONE GOD OF POWER TRUE LOVE. IMAGINE 5% OF ONE GOD OF POWER TRUE LOVE HAVE ALL THE UNIVERSE AND CREATION ALIVE. SO THINK OF GOD JESUS THAT IS 15%?

@pathstogodbyfaithcom Oh... I do not saying that you can earn salvation by your works. Of course you have to believe and by faith you are saved. (works are fruits of the faith)So when you already quote Matthew, then quote Matthew 7:16-20. O my brother in Christ I am not against you I am for "us", for the truht as it is in Bible, as interpreted from the first days and not the last 200years. I am form Ortodox and Catholic family. My brother I am weak and sinful man. I pray for God's grace every day. My faith and knowledge is weak I am here to learn, but more I look and learn I come to the realization that the Catholic Church is closest to the teaching of the apostoles and teachings of the Jesus Christ. The peace of God be with you and remain for ever and ever Amen!

Jesus had no wife or child mentioned in the bible. However James was considered Jesus' brother and Mary and Joseph was his mom and dad on Earth when he was alive. The priest is right Jesus is God. It is the manifestation of what we can comprehend of God, Jesus showed up as a human being because thats all we could understand as humans was other humans. A human mind simply cannot comprehend the totality of God's full and true form so thats why Jesus showed up as a man.

Jesus never proclaimed himself to be the Lord! He never once said in the Bible, "Worship me, I am YOUR God?" Never, but it was just misquoting Jesus cases. Please read Dr.Bart Erhman bestseller books, including, "Misquoting Jesus", and you will be surprised that Jesus never claimed divinity!

a.) Jesus Christ did not come to this earth in the late 20th / early 21st century in the west. His statements were not meant to conform to naturalist, empiricist, existentialist, or nihilist preconceptions. He came to the earth in the 1st century AD into an ethnically and religiously Jewish cultural milieu and spoke in a way which made sense to them in THEIR time.
And as far as they were concerned His statements were so controversial precisely because they WERE claims to divinity, that they considered it blasphemous and it is the reason why He was betrayed "into the hands of sinful men",
"But Jesus answered them, 'My Father is at work until now, so I am at work.' For this reason the Jews tried all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath but HE ALSO CALLED GOD HIS OWN FATHER, MAKING HIMSELF EQUAL TO GOD."
Every reference of Jesus's to YHWH / the LORD God as "Father" and He as His only Son, WERE claims to divinity to the first century AD Hebrew mind. Why? Different kinds of being 'beget' after 'their kind'(plants beget plants, animals beget animals, humans beget humans) and therefore Divinity begets divinity.
"'The Father and I are one.' The Jews again picked up rocks to stone him. Jesus answered them, 'I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?' The Jews answered him, 'We are not stoning you for a good work but for blasphemy. YOU, A MAN, AARE MAKING YOURSELF GOD.'"
      cf. John 10: 30-33
Again, the mere reference to YHWH as His "Father" elicits the charge of blasphemy. YHWH is wholly transcendent. He is not implicated in the merely temporal ("My thoughts are not your thoughts. My ways are not your ways."). For them, to say a mere human was begotten by God was blasphemous. And it would have been, if it were not true.
This is the reason, ultimately, why He was killed. Caesar Augustus was the first pagan, polytheistic Roman emperor to have arrogated the title to himself as "Filius Deus", a 'son of the gods' (the Hellenistic Greco-Roman pantheon of the gods. So, for some upstart itinerant rabbi to be walking through the region of first century Palestine claiming to be the successor to king David and claiming to be THE "Son of the living God", in comparison to caesar's claim to the A "son of the gods" was tantamount to civil and political treason and a call to insurrection.
The Jewish leadership, the high priest and the aristocratic council, the Sanhedrin, were appointed by Rome as Roman puppets to keep the peace with their Jewish confreres. To have some upstart rabbi walking through the countryside raising hopes of a reprisal of the 'golden age' of David and, to their minds, countering caesar's claim to be A 'son of the gods', risked having them removed from their political offices and the Jewish populace decimated in a pre-emptive move by Rome to quell any thought of an armed rebellion.
So, in a praiseworthy attempt to protect the Jewish populace, they decided to scapegoat Jesus and used, as a pretext, His claim to be THE "Son of God" because they knew the Roman governor Pontius Pilate couldn't let that go. If caesar heard he had let a Jewish rabbi go who had challenged his claim to be "filius Deus", he would have considered Pontius Pilate to be disloyal and subject to death. Meanwhile the Jewish authorities, in betraying him, appear to be remaining loyal to caesar and get to both keep their appointed offices and protect the greater populace from an imperial persecution to quell any perceived rebellion,
"Once more Pilate went out and said to them, 'Look, I am bringing him out to you, so that you may know that I find no guilt in him.' So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple cloak. And he said to them, 'Behold, the man!' When the chief priests and the guards saw him they cried out, 'Crucify him, crucify him!' Pilate said to them, 'Take him yourselves and crucify him. I find no guilt in him.' The Jews answered, 'WE HAVE A LAW, AND ACCORDING TO THAT LAW HE OUGHT TO DIE, BECAUSE HE MADE HIMSELF THE SON OF GOD.' Now when Pilate heard this statement, he became even more afraid,"
      cf. John 19: 4-8a
The motivation of the Jewish religious authorities was an affront to YHWH's honor: the charge of blasphemy. Pilate's motivation was to be careful to be seen to be remaining loyal to caesar in Rome and quell any hint of rebellion against his honor and the state. It was a perfect storm.
b.) The second thing to understand from a first century AD Jewish way of thinking, was that YHWH / Jehovah was thought to be so holy, that even to mention his name was to have invoked His presence and, it was believed, no man encountered God 'face to face' and lived,
"When they heard the sound of the LORD God walking about in the garden at the breezy time of the day, the man and his wife hid themselves from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. The LORD God then called to the man and asked him: Where are you? He answered, 'I heard you in the garden; but I was afraid, because I was naked, so I hid.'
      cf. Genesis 3: 8-10
"Then Moses said, 'Please let me see your glory!' The LORD answered: I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim my name, 'LORD,' before you; I who show favor to whom I will, I who grant mercy to whom I will. But you cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live. Here, continued the LORD, is a place near me where you shall station yourself on the rock. When my glory passes I will set you in the cleft of the rock and will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand, so that you may see my back; but my face may not be seen."
      cf. Exodus 33: 18-23
So everywhere, in Tanakh / the 'Old Testament' the name of YHWH / JHVH appeared, it was substituted with the phrase "the LORD", or "the LORD God" so that the scriptures could be read in Church without courting annihilation for having taken "the LORD's name in vain". So, as you see at Exodus 33: 19, the word "LORD" did refer to the divinity of YHWH. For the Christians to call Jesus "Lord", in light of caesar Augustus's claim to be 'supreme and august lord' as a divine 'son of the gods' WAS, to the first century AD Jewish mind, a claim to divinity, and to the pagan, polytheistic mind, a treasonous challenge to caesar's authority,
"The Jews answered, 'WE HAVE A LAW, AND ACCORDING TO THAT LAW HE OUGHT TO DIE, BECAUSE HE MADE HIMSELF THE SON OF GOD.' Now when Pilate heard this statement, he became even more afraid,"

I agree with you that Jesus was misquoted and moreover that words were put into his mouth by the so-called Church Fathers in the first and second centuries.
In fact, the Gospel of Mark even admits, in the better editions, that words have been put in his mouth (I think it's at the Last Supper). I think it's called "interpolation".
      Second,
Jesus called himself a prophet in one of the synoptic gospels.
I think when he said things such as "Whoever does not love me more than father or mother ..." he was speaking as prophets did - as in, "Thus saith the Lord". Redactors must have excised that part so that he would appear to be saying it about himself.
      Third,
the Gospel of John seems colossally untrustworthy to me because how can Jesus be the *only* son of God: Genesis mentions "all the sons of God". And Genesis was written long before the Gospel of John.
      As regards Paul,
he himself confided in one epistle that he 'made himself all things to all men', and in context we see that he means he misrepresented his background as a way of gaining traction with various groups of people.
There are persuasive arguments that Paul was anything BUT a trained Pharisee. See the excellent work of Hyam Maccoby, "Mythmaker". Maccoby tells the real story of the Pharisees and shows examples in the gospels supporting the idea that Jesus himself was a Pharisee (again, in a good way) as well as a "fiery poet".

When i first heard of this person Jesus, i thought he was a fictional person but then i realized that he really existed. I read the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Saint Paul's letters. To the Jews, they don't see him as the messianic savior but rather a false one. To Christians like me, i see him as the one sent by God. Why do i believe he's the one? Well he helped me overcome my doubts and fears. Each time when i attend daily mass at any Catholic church, i receive his body and blood.

      The lamb of God.
A sacrifice for our sins. To pay the price for his part in all that he had done against God. Because He could not die, he had to become flesh, and was given the name Jesus, because he will save his people.
His people are those who follow him. The fallen Angels and the one he had formed from the dirt of the earth, man of the flesh. He is our maker, son of God.
He has many names and the one he goes By now is, Immanuel,
      Which means, God with us.

By chance I discovered, some weeks ago, this channel and I must say that the work done here is realy amazing!
I do not know any other channel of this gene which could compete or be even comparable with/ to this one.
By far the best and a great exemple of profound learning, understanding and the ability to explain all this to others in a very pleasant, stimulating, but never oversimplified, way .
I am a young Roman Catholic and we do not have things like these in Germany. We do not have persons like Father Barron, who are using the internet for religous (catholic) purposes,- at least they are not known to a wider audience.
I am convinced, that the task undertaken here to"evangelizise the culture"/ to make our Faith (more) understandable is being well done with all these videos.
I hope it will still go on for a lot of years!
Thank you very much, Father Barron.

To be clear, however, Hinduism is not "wrong." It actually makes a great deal of sense to Jesus! And he's a *huge* fan of Hindu art. ;)

It is not "just because Jesus says he's God". Jesus is in your Heart knocking at your door. If you say yes, He enters and dines with you and you with him, then that passionate love ignited by that Communion is united with your will which goes to your intellect and corrects and empowers your intellect to serve your soul. There is nothing to be "sorry" about other than your delay, which is quickly forgiven.

@vincentolivr Nonsense! The first martyrs died for asserting the Lordship of Jesus, and that assertion was predicated upon the resurrection. Name any other martyrs who died defending that their hero had risen from the dead. There are myths of dying and rising gods, but I don't know even one martyr for Dionysius or Osiris!

@TheCrookedTimber As your brother in the Orthodox faith, I think that Father Barron would agree that it is as important for us that Jesus is both fully human AND fully deity. Most people today would not doubt His humanity, so the issue of His deity becomes of primary importance for the salvation of our contemporaries. (That's what's being denied in our time.) Some are now denying the historical existence of Jesus. If this catches on, then the EXISTENCE of Jesus will become primary. Blessed Lent.

it's strange to realize how vast and profound the gap in an unbelievers understanding really is. how passages that should make them shit themselves just inspire a scoff like God isn't literally telling them, "you are going to die-as in FOREVER. your entire soul will be GONE- not because I want it that way but because you do.I love you, if I didn't I wouldn't have made you in the first place, but you don't love me, hell many of you hate me, so why would you want to be with me." guys God isn't going away-he cant he kind of made everything so really it's you whose gonna go in the end not him, good news though he doesn't want you to, he died to keep you around because he loves you.

My dear brothers and sisters in faith,
As a Muslim I come to you with the utmost respect and admiration for your deep love and devotion to the Word of God. As someone who has found benefit in reading the Bible, I would like to humbly share some thoughts regarding the different versions of the Bible and how they have developed over time.
Throughout history, many different versions of the Bible have emerged. These include significant translations such as the King James Version, the New International Version, the New Revised Standard Version, and many others. Even in the same language, like English, there are variations in wording and interpretation. Moreover, when we look at ancient manuscripts in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic, we can see differences that have led to some contradictions. For example, in the Gospel of Mark 16:9-20, certain ancient manuscripts omit these verses entirely, while others include them. Similarly, in John 7:53-8:11, the story of the woman caught in adultery, this section is missing from some of the earliest Greek manuscripts.
While these variations exist, I firmly believe that the original message that God revealed to His prophets, including Jesus (peace be upon him), is still present within the Bible. However, over time, human hands have inevitably introduced changes, leading to different interpretations and versions. These differences make it difficult to say that the Bible has been preserved exactly as it was when revealed.
In contrast, the Quran, revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), has been preserved in one version since the time of its revelation over 1,400 years ago. Every Muslim around the world recites the same Quran in the original Arabic, and its text has remained unchanged. The Quran itself makes a claim of preservation, where God says:
“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an, and indeed, We will be its guardian.” (Quran 15:9)
Despite the differences in preservation, I believe that both the Bible and the Quran share much in common. The Quran acknowledges and honors Jesus (peace be upon him), and speaks of his miraculous birth, his teachings, and the message of peace he brought to the Children of Israel. The Quran speaks of Jesus (peace be upon him) as a beloved prophet of God, and as Muslims, we revere him deeply.
I invite you, my brothers and sisters, to consider reading the Quran as well, not as a challenge to your faith but as an opportunity to explore the many similarities between our scriptures. You may find that the Quran reaffirms much of what you hold dear in the Bible, while offering new insights into the message of God.
As a Muslim, I have personally learned a great deal from reading the Bible, and I appreciate its spiritual wisdom. I hope you will also take the time to read the Quran and see for yourself the profound connection between these two holy texts.
May God guide us all to His truth and grant us wisdom and understanding in our journey of faith.
    With love and respect,
    Your brother in faith
