Thinking of doing this for the back of a jon boat. The depth of the boat is around 2 ft. I troll for Crappie. I'm thinking about the handle of the trolling motor sticking out. I'm debating 2.5' ft 3 ft height. 3 ft might be too high though.
Definitely something you'll have to experiment with for the height. But nice!
Just PVC glue the tee, no need to drill a hole.
True. I intended it to be kinda portable as well so I can break it down when transferring to other boats in storage. But yes, glue would've been fine if you don't care to store easier. 🎣

I don't see why not. I use the smaller style in my pond prowler when trolling and have two on each side going if you check my early videos you'll see the setup similar to that.
Where in the store did you get the flange mount thing? I can't find it. And of course, no employees have no idea.
Near the pvc section. Can't guarantee it will be on same aisle but usually they have a aisle labeled with "pipe fittings" etc.
