    Thanks Hira. I watched many of your "Interview Question" videos and incorporated some of the ideas into my resume, cover letter and introduction video. I now have an interview with a company that I would really like to work for.

    TMAY is the best opportunity to showcase you. My way is, get the job description you applied 75% + 25% of real work experience. You should be good. Make sure to have scenarios, stories ready to share, if asked.

    Hi, thanks for the advice. Could you add some 'role-play' style examples to watch in real time? These could be really useful - and how to deliver, body language etc? (with examples)

    Hi Hira, i love your video its very informative. However that question is abit tricky when you are an entry level. If you are asked that question and you do not have solid years of experience. How should one go about it?

    Hi Hira, I love all your videos, very inspiring. if I may suggest 1 thing you make want to keep in mind and change about your video is the audibility, your voice can barely be heard (perhaps a mic would help); even though the volume on my laptop is at its max. Thanks for your informational videos. GOOD WORK!!

    Hi, Hira - really enjoyed some of your videos on the issues in interviewing. I just want to say, I noticed that you have a lot of filler words [ah, um, etc.,] that are a bit distracting to me in understand your message in a concise manner. But thank you for your videos!

    i would advise EES model is more powerful for TMAY. Education , Employment and skills ...

    • @careerly
      @careerly  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vamshi ram Depends on the audience/industry. Give them what they want - if its a chronological narrative, of EES do that. If it's more about picking out what you bring to the table for that interviewer as quickly as possible do that.

    Thank you for this helpful video! Do you have any recommendation on how to present your previous work experience if it is not relevant to the possition you are applying for?
    ex: a cleaning job or shipping cleck who want to apply for an administrative position or a manager position. TY

    ok what about blue collar industry jobs? any videos on that?

    • @careerly
      @careerly  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +julian villalpando the same methodology applies: whatever you did, what was the result? And quantify it. If you stocked shelves, how many, at what rate, did you do your job faster/better than others on team? Get promoted quickly? etc.

    hello Hira! Thanks for your videos. Do you think its a good idea to talk about your interests like i am also a guitarist towards end of the introduction?

    • @careerly
      @careerly  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ashwin Gupta Sure.. depends! It depends on the interviewer, how friendly/casual they are, how the conversation is progressing, how critical your guitarist gig is to your life. My general advice is to stick to the job at hand and your skills/experience for it. List your interests at the bottom of your resume in the "Distinctions and Interests" section, and they can always ask you if they want to/are interested in learning more about that aspect.

    give examples answers more that would help

    • @careerly
      @careerly  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      We give answers and suggested examples to every single question. Also, the idea is to teach our students to figure this out, not to give them "the answer" - a sure way for them to fail- doesn't work in the U.S. :)
