- Now available on ISSIMI's Auction Platform, This 2002 Murcielago is a first-year car and was likely one of the most famous Lamborghinis of that period. Bought new by Grammy-nominated rap artist Busta Rhymes, this Verde Ithaca car was the centerpiece of numerous photo shoots involving the rapper.
In the last few years, it has become clear to enthusiasts how rare and desirable a Murcielago equipped with a manual gearbox is, and prices have skyrocketed. This car is not only offered in one of the quintessential Lamborghini colors and fitted with a manual, but it is, without a doubt, one of the most famous examples from the early 2000s and comes with documented celebrity ownership.
Powering the Murcielago is a variant of Lamborghini’s famed V12 which displaces 6.2 liters and was rated from the factory at 572 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a gated 6-speed manual transaxle to all 4 wheels.
The interior of this car is the only place that really displays the remnants of celebrity ownership. Finished in a light cream color that Lamborghini calls “Snowcorn,” the headrests are still emblazoned with the lime green and white “Flipmode” logo embroidered to match the green piping found on both seats.

As a 26 year old who grew up with this very car in this color on his bedroom wall. This video brought a tear to my eyes. This car is what inspires me to do more to eventually live my childhood fantasies and achieve my dreams.

probably the best iteration of the bigger Lamborghini wedge. Dramatic yet still being clean looking. None of that stealth-bomber saw tooth shenanigans like you have with the current Aventador etc.
Agreed. The LP640 was peak for me. The 670-SV looked like a Mansory kit from the factory, the Aventador looks way too "matchbox car" and not enough NASA or Lockheed Martin. The Revuelto? I won't even go there...
I don't like supercars from 2010 and onwards. They try too hard to look cool and aggressive, just not my style. The 2000s was the last era that had good looking supercars imo

I dont know why, but I find it funny they drove a Lancia Stratos (My second favorite car of all time) a whole YEAR before they made a video on the Murcielago. It just seems like the Stratos would be much more difficult to find. This is a phenominal video as always, none-the-less. Truly truly appreciate the dedication and love put into these videos

These are amazing, but I prefer the updated Murcies. The ground effects were designed better.

how are we putting so much effort into a video without a grip or gaffer to make the lighting halfway decent? I understand if you don’t have lighting but it’s not about that. It’s about not turning on a lamp behind someone so you can’t see their face and being ok with that .any fat crusty old fart grip could tell you that. And that’s right in the beginning, the most important part.
The creative vision here clearly doesn’t prioritize traditional lighting techniques. Some filmmakers intentionally use natural or minimal lighting to create a specific atmosphere or aesthetic, which is what was trying to be achieved here.
Feel free to go volunteer your services or pay them for the salary needed.
Please just call it a Murci. My European ears can’t take the hideous butchering of the pronunciation so many time in one video.
As much as I prefer the manual, the e-gear has an incredible personality and offers a unique experience.
Yeah, it's hard to go wrong either way, especially with the late Murcielagos. The early E-gears can be a little rough, but they received far more hate than they deserved.

@@JimBrown-xn7hm, single clutch automated manual isn't exactly an old school torque converter auto. Don't knock it until you've tried a good one. I daily one (not a Murcielago, but a contemporaneous sports car with similar transmission), and it's a blast!
