Lmaoo you actually passed me going to work while you were filming this and I was like hmm guy driving a Lambo with a GoPro on his head, probably tedward
No way!!!!
@@TedwardDrives LMAO
@@TedwardDrives I met a guy who had Doug Demuro review 2 of his cars it was so cool
Have you actually found yourself on the video? If so, show us a time stamp.
You are a lucky man indeed!
12:24 - Man you made that guy's day when you recognized his car.
It was a Lotus, not a Ferrari
@@postmortemarg he didn't call it a Ferrari, he said Elise California. Which is what it is.
The Murciélago is the first supercar I remember seeing in public. I didn’t even know what it was at the time since it was 2002 and I was about 4, but it still struck me how insane it looked on the road. It was bright orange and the owner had that look of a person that knows EXACTLY how cool their car was. Cars like these are core memories for kids.
Similar story for me and my brother, except it was a Lamborghini Diablo. Now we're all grown up and my brother has an SVJ lol
@@raviamin2820 can i see pls
Me2. It was dark green.
as a person who have never seen a supercar irl, i agree
@@raviamin2820 damn. That's my dream
Whats not to love?
A high revving V12 + gated manual + 4wd = just pure awesomesauce
AWD*
My heart even stops when this V12 sings, damn I think I need new pants...😳
@@leomux2004 I still prefer the sound of ferrari 812 like with novitech exhaust.. pure F1 sound that. But this must be one of the last manual gated V12s to find, I'd still prefer that a lot, but they cost bout as much as a new supercar lol,.
The Murciélago was my childhood dream car in like 2010 when I would play NFS Hot Pursuit 2, the Cobra R and C5 Z06 were cool as well
It had to be yellow or lime green 👌
@@svstem6992 Orange >>>>
God I miss Hot Pursuit 2, that was my childhood
if you saved up 1k a month since 2010 you could buy one xD instead of still watching videos of it.
@@ucevrim more like 3k a month for a manual lol
6.2L V12 ignited manuallu by rotating the key, manual gear, analog tachometre, no bullshit Ipad interior. I love this car
There's something so satisfying about a gated manual transmission
That dude was so happy you knew about the California :D
😂
I still remember unlocking this car on Midnight club 3, That lime green Murciélago. Being, I believe, one of the hardest vehicles to unlock made me feel so proud of it, not to mention its astonishing looks.
In my opinion, this era is the definition of Lamborghini; it is all about style, luxury, outright straight line speed and knowing you own a Lamborghini. I do like that Lamborghini is getting out some very sporty and quick cars today, but for me, the beginning of the 21st century is what made the company's name (being very respectful to their beginnings and conscious about VW's acquisition)
well....... you think you somebody don't you.....
@@stroock6394yeah this comment screams self importance lmao
i especially love the downshift into 2. it sounds so brutal and click sound of the shifter is a cherry on top. it sounds so pure.
I 100% agree with you about the timelessness of the design of the Murcielago. I still think this is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, so proportionate, still to this day if someone says Lamborghini, this is the car that I picture in mind, and this naturally aspirated v12 sound amazing too. Oh and I also was one of those kids that liked to sit in the right back seat, I liked it beacuse from that seat I could see my dad and maybe learn how to drive...😀😀
Same... and even the iconic Gallardo looks good to this day
Yess, this and the first gen avendator... but mostly this
I grew up on the last years of the Countach and when the Diablo came out.
I absolutely love those cars, but the Murcielago is something else to me, the first true modern supercar.
I was lucky that I went to the Autostadt in Wofsburg Germany to the premiere of this car and it was amazing!
You where in a completely dark cubicle and they bolted a Murcielago to the wall and reved it.
It was a whole body experience, the noises from the car vibrated deeply in my chest!
I was there with my father who also is into cars his whole live (and still is!) and it was amazing!
We also saw the Bugatti Veyron being presented there, but the Murcielago left a much better impression on us.
Also the design of the Veyron ist not as amazing as the Lambos!
@@rolux4853 Dude, that sounds so awesome! I can only imagine how that felt! Funny that you mentioned the Veyron, we just had a discussion with MY car enthusiast dad about it, and we came to the conclusion that the Veyron too is one of those timeless designs, at least it doesn't feel 17 years old.
Yea, the modern lambos are not in my taste at all, they are almost to the point of being vulgar, just too much design. This one is just clean, classic and beautiful in it's design, I love it.
This car dominated my childhood years as one of the best supercars, back then in the 2000s. I always thought that those who drove those, back then, were people out of movies like James Bond and likewise. 😆😎👌❤️💯
What a machine, how some people don't like Lamborghinis Is beyond me. Great video as always.
I have to say that idont like the newer lambo´s exept from the sian i prefer the older models more like the murcilago cuz im not the biggest fan of lambos design but they are still not ugly
Some people don't like the shape of the car, the association that comes with it, some people prefer building cars, etc. Sometimes that can translate into outright hate (human nature) but it doesn't mean people shouldn't have preferences, after all people are (mostly) unique
@@aneural yeah True, everyone should drive what he likes
I like this one and the gallardo(?) But for me the new ones just look a Lot too agressive almost like toy cars
Latest Lambos look like concept cars, the agreesive lines got out of hand.
I would say the last truly beautiful Lambo was the Reventon, more agressive than the Murciélago but without losing its core elegance.
"If someone tosses you the keys to a naturally aspirated V12, you take them and you run"
~Tedward, 2022
This car has the absolute best sound ever.
4:18 same lol! When I ride cars, buses, or even planes I always sit in one of a right window seat 😂
Pretty funny you managed to run into a car rarer than this Murciélago. The Elise California in red is one of 25
Wow
I had no idea they were that rare! I saw one at a show a couple years ago
holy shit! never knew it was that special. I suppose it makes sense tbh. I've only seen one ever, at Palm Beach cars and coffee
What a great video!! ❤
OMG 😱
This car is THE peak of mid 2000s supercar design! Sex on four wheels, with the power and engine noise to really make sure you're having a good time.
@@TheMechanicsCar-ek1vm I imagine that was the result of some VW Audi meddling. After all, Lamborghini was just bought by them at the time of release and they had to prove themselves to be a good investment to the beancounters in Germany
And empty your wallet.
@@belinhobeli9569 worth it
@@notrustfunderz Good, then just do it.
Remember when top gear had the audacity to call this thing bland? No way. This is THE supercar of the 2000s in my mind, it looks fantastic and so timeless
@Reality honestly, the terrible interior adds to the charm and is what makes this such a raw old-school Lambo!
12:24 what kind of dude that lived through the 80 mistakes any car for a Countache, an incon with an incredibly distinct aesthetic.
Lovely video. I drove my manual Murci on a full Cannonball Run from New York to California last year. Both me and my 5 month pregnant wife were more than comfortable :) It was a cool experience and people along the way were really enthusiastic to have it sweep through their little towns along the way. We won't talk about fuel efficiency and I just ignored the gas bill....LOL
It’s a cool daily if you’re rich I imagine LOL
Master chef has gorlfrind 1984 too 1994 canoball run
Beautiful just beautiful, also I've observed one thing about these older V12's is there is no longer any hate for them, all comments on these types of videos are just appreciation of them, also that car with the right exhaust would make any F1 car have shame on itself, continue on these older supercars
This car has the absolute best sound ever. Thanks for the insight and for recording this legend.

ive seen 2 of these in my lifetime....last one was 12-13 years ago. My all time favorite car
The Murcielago was always my favorite sports car growing up! Thanks for bringing us all along for the ride.
12:58 10/10 times I would get out of the car to pick up that screwdriver off the road. Someone got their tire(s) ruined that day.

Hard to leave a lambo in traffic. But yes lol

Lovely old-time V12
There’s something about the v12. No forced induction needed. Just pure Italian machinery. Pure love and so much though put into it starting from the crank. Thing just screams and it’s just so timeless imo has such a nice old classic vibe to it. It’s purely you and the car with the gearbox and that vicious engine 😂 it’s just amazing what it does at the top of the rev range

Best sounding V12, just so visceral compared to the Aventador I can’t put my finger on it..
Sounds more mechanical, meanwhile the Aventador sounds a bit artificial
They sound fantastic but think there are better sound V12's out there, 250 GTO being one.
The Murcielago V12 is the last time the Bizzarrini engine was used which dates back to the 60's. It was used on the 350GT, Miura, Countach, Diablo etc. Lamborghini engineered a new engine for the Aventador. Personally, I think you're right the old Bizzarinni engine has a lot more character and a different firing order than the new engine. Giotto Bizzarinni came over from Ferrari to design this engine, it's funny that someone mentioned the Ferrari 250 GTO, the last engine that Bizzarinni designed for Ferrari before he left was the v12 for the 250 GTO.
@@SVPSkins Both this engine and the v12 for the 250 GTO were designed by Giotto Bizzarinni. That guy could engineer some great sounding engines.
I like the 6.5 better
Best lambo in my opinion. Gated shifters are satisfying
I didn't expect this car so analogic... It's nice the fact you've manual gearbox and no elctronics at all and the thing is radio.
This is the only video I've ever seen of someone actually shifting one of these properly.
Manual V12. With a gated shifter. And a late 90s looking Alpine head unit with the glowing green buttons. I need a cold shower.
Thanks for the FUN ride!
best lambo ever no debate
I love these late, pre-death of manual, pre-half-assed rebirth of manual supercars. They just scream fun, none of that surgical performance of the new double clutch magic gearbox thingies. Like they knew it was slower, but let you choose it just because it makes it feel better.
I will probably never get to drive a car like this in real life. I really appreciate this channel.
Murciélagos have FULL carbon fiber body panels underneath the paint. I love that!!
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 vibes!!! I remember playing Hot Pursuit 2 back in the early 2000s and driving the Murcielago in the game!!
That color and those wheels. That's just eye candy.
i hear you drive past my work on spring st in lexington everytime you bring out these cars and it’s awesome 👏🏼 love the videos
I was somewhere behind you on Rt. 2, I heard you rev it high and thought "someone is having fun." Great video man.
The Lambo Merc is a timeless super car that will probably never look dated. Beautifully designed
4:13 All 13 years of my life, whenever I sit in the rear seat, I have done that. I think it was because I like watching the gauges and steering wheel.
Knowing the trim of that Elise definitely made that guy's day haha
the guy know tons of friends who miss their Murcielago, man, we live in a different world you and me
This has always been my favorite Lamborghini. Just always like the looks of it.
Absolutely the most beautiful modern Lamborghini. Imo.
i love the tall gated shifter. Such a great cars, definitely one of my favorites.
A manual shifted V12. How cool is that😍😍😍
NFS hot pursuit 2, Diablo and Murcielago were my favourites
This was one i always wanted to have still workong on it I wish they still made the newer models manual my first lambo that i get will be manual
The wholesome moment between you and the Lotus owner made my day. He knew it was a Murcielago
Man I’d love to try the manual shift in this baby! I’m not a manual shift lover, I’m neutral in that debate (tho my car is manual) but it seems (and sounds) soo much fun in this beauty. Loved your enthusiasm btw! Cheers!
Lunch break treat. Thank you, Tedward.
Facts I hated the seatbelt going over my left 😂
4:23 same!! Thats so cool the belt is on that side in this car for the driver

Sir, thank you for the shout out to the Civic Si within the space of this Lamborghini video. I can assure you the drive is respected every time I get behind the wheel of mine.
We had an orange convertible and a yellow hard top. The yellow one was the highest end model with the flaps that open on both sides for the engine. Such badass cars
ngl I kinda like pov driving videos. what a car love the Murcielago. love the content man, im satisfied.
The car is nearly 20 years old but still looks better than most new lamborghinis. Such a beautiful car.
One of my favorite cars. 12cylinder Bull.
This car will always have NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 vibe for me :)
I love the sound when he downshift. Engine + that nice metal sound from the shift lever.
Raw and manual v12s today are seven figures and out of reach, I miss the early 2000s. Great content, and waiting for a pov of 6.2sc Caddy with 3 pedals.
The rear end really is timeless. You could slap some LED tail lights in that thing and call it a 2023.
That gated shifter is orgasmic lol
Man! This video brings me back to my early teenage days.. having posters of this car on my wall and driving it in video games.. I always wanted one growing up and I still do. I’d take one over ANY modern car built today hands down. What an awesome pov here and the sound ❤️. You’ve got a new sub bud 🎉
Production quality is looking good man
I always try to catch up and take a photo! That gated with a V12. Glorious.
The 1st time driving it was in an NFS game. For real though, Murcielago is an epic machine. I didn't even know it had a manual gearbox. More Love.
Promised my younger self to own a car like this one day, no matter the cost. I will achieve this little guy
My favorite car, this and the Ferrari F40. Amazing machines! Love it!
Thanks for sharing. Most of us will never get to be in a supercar let alone drive one so letting us live vicariously this way is nice :)
Lamborghini really nailed the design of the Murcielago. This is their best looking car if we're talking timeless design.
I remember the first time I saw this car as a kid on a need for speed hot pursuit commmercial in like 2002, ever since this car had a special place in my heart 😅
Damn. The shifting sound's satisfying asf.

my favorite car sound is a 2008 yellow lamborghini gallardo superleggera V10 with a titanium straight pipe F1 exhaust with valves and my gosh this is my best sounding car favorite all time.
I haven’t had time to watch the video, but I hope you enjoyed the car. Puts you in a whole different world. It’s going to suck when these get banned.
The induction noise is absolutely spectacular.
Thank you Tedward, loved the review, - the car, the sound, the commentary! 😍

Never been a fan of V10s or V12s but man, the Murcielago's noise hits different
Ah Murcielago, my favorite of the Lamborghinis 👌
16:45 Ah yes, that acceleration sound with the windows down! 👌👌That won't get old...
Seen this car in older NFS games, and a couple times IRL; I still would like one lol. I like the air vents and I love the stick shift. With reverse being before first and you can clearly see where the stick is in relation to all the gears
The manual transmission is already a star in itself, but the fact that it has no start button, no multimedia screen and much less driving modes is what makes this car so amazing
