- Today I'm spending $100 in Riyadh, starting with a local breakfast, and moving along by discovering the city and its malls. For lunch, I try the country's famous fast food chain called Al Baik.
I'll end my day by having a great dinner and meeting my friend @worldnomac who tells me about his journey in KSA.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below, and where should I go next?

Those plastic bags are biodegrade, and there is a law for all the plastic bags to be biodegradable, they turn into pieces within months after being exposed to heat and humidity, but still they should use less.
If you ask an expert in that matter in any Saudi municipality and the world, they will till you other wise. Biodegradable plastic bags are a lie just because it crumbles that doesn’t mean it’s going anywhere.
البلاستيك المتحلل كذبة.
Yup, and every plastic product in Saudi Arabia is 100% recyclable.
Maaaaannnn 15$ for breakfast is wild
- I’m from Saudi Arabia btw
I AM TOO AND IT IS WAY MORE THEN 15
Nah man 15$ for breakfast is pretty expensive if I get breakfast it’s like 9$ which is still consider a bit to much
@@TheXsquadw bro where do u live I wanna go there 😭😭
bro im from saudi arabia and i get my breakfast for 3$
WHAT THE HAEKKKKKK
Btw they will open the first metro line in early 2024 😅 so you don't have to worry about them 40 dollars next time lol. In total there's 6 lines underground, street and above level for the train... 95% of the metro and stations are finished and if you're in Riyadh long enough you always see them testing it, also the bus network started working. There's a seventh line that would be add in upcoming years that would link few areas that are being built right now! By 2030 this city will be sooo different when the other mega projects finish.
Wow, I love to hear that! It's not just about the money but also the sustainability and ease of transport with less traffic. I didn't see any announcements about the Metro line or busses tho, but thanks for sharing
@@uptinsthey already started the Riyadh bus they have app and you can go with like 4 riyals to any destination it's slow but when metro start it'll be better as connections
Still not open
It’s not even close to being ready to open. At least another year or more.

Thank you sm for coming to 🇸🇦🇸🇦🇸🇦 and I recommend everyone to visit it’sa very awesome sauce country yk
3:20 they give it so you can put the sauce and nuggets between the bun and eat it like a burger
I believe you were at the hayat mall. It's one of the oldest malls in Riyadh there's another right next to it. This mall is very old which is what there's a renovation
Due you should have like a million subscribers. Highly underrated channel.
Thank you so much! Check out my main channel too, @Uptin where I make documentaries about many topics
I am Arabian thanks for visiting my country I recommendmore people should go here its crowded but its nice
Texas Chicken is called Church's in the US and New York Fries is a Canadian fast food chain.
Wow I never knew Church's is Texas Chicken and no we don't have New York fries in NYC so it must be Canadian.
@@Grimmes12 yeah its cause when they tried to expand into countries with not a huge christian population(Asia & Africa), they changed it to sound more "American" as it would sound better and tbh i agree
We eat all the day for 10 dollar 😂
Uhh u realize that most of the restaurants that he’s going for is fancy restaurants
@@user-wy9fv3sk3qthere’s fancier, these are just middle class restaurant that he went to
@@blaireedits5640 I know but there’s a lot of restaurants that are cheaper than this
Was not expecting Riyad to be such a lively city.
The miracle of air conditioning.
No more taxis required in Riyadh next year as the Riyadh metro will open.
Riyadh is absolutely incredible.
Thank you

I'm surprised that you didn't use public transport bus you could've saved a lot of money
You should visit Jeddah if you haven't i can also recommend few places for you to visit if you want
Jeddah problem is the weather.. it's too hot and only gets mild for like 1 month in a year.. Riyadh and other Saudi cities get almost 4 months of cool weather, and sometimes very cold even.
You should go the southern part of Saudi Arabia
Actually if you had skipped 2 rides, you might have had 20 bucks back. I love your videos. Very informative and interesting!
Thanks for watching! Yeah I used 2 rides that were a bit underwhelming but had to try the places!
No buses?
@@jeromefitzroyyes actually there is buses and soon there will be a train

You mean metro
3:18 the reason why they gave you buns is maybe u want to make a burger from the chicken nuggets and fries with the sauce it will turn out delicious
I always want to visit Saudi though, it is such a mystery to me.

Your not welcome 😈
I ate Al Baik at Dubai Mall and it was surprisingly cheap it was great bang for your buck. Blvd is like Dubai Global Village on steroids.
Nice and greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩 hopefully will be upcoming the great vlogs and really entertaining and will informative. Be well and be safe 🙏😊
I hope so too!
Ty for coming to my country
Go to Manama, Bahrain next
I saw your video Short on flat sheet (bedding), so I am commenting here. I am Generation X from the US, and I stopped using a flat (top) sheet 35 years ago. It never made sense to me (too tight in the feet area).
There are many buses for only one dollar in many bus stations, and also the Riyadh Metro at the beginning of the year 2024 will be ready next month.
Welcome to Saudi Arabia my friend
you could have done a lot with that 100$, you did not move right hahaha.. holla at me next time I gotcha you.
Haha! Would love to
😮 I never thought that in my life time 😮 A Persian aka Irani 🇮🇷 will be roaming freely in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦. Personally, I love ❤️ it & hope both countries Stop their little adventures in our land 🇵🇰. 😉
... Iranians were never banned from traveling to Saudi Arabia. Lol. Why are you so surprised.

Saudi Arabia is a Muslim country so I don’t think so
Alcohol consumption and production is banned

You should’ve put the chicken nuggets in the buns
Nice video. But I want to mention that the music you used is actually not a Saudi music or even Arabic. It a stereotype music that been created by Hollywood movies when they show the Middle East and we don’t listen to it 😅😅
I wasn't trying to use 'Arabic music', It just was vibey and I liked it

INTERESTING HOW DO YOU DO THAT?
After I came across investment platform of Mrs Dorothy Wallace my financial life has totally changed. I'm not bothered about the market fluctuations.
I have heard a lot about investments with Dorothy Wallace and how good she is, please how safe are the profits?
Same here, I earn $13,000 a week. GOD bless Dorothy Wallace, she has been a blessing to my family.
Mrs Dorothy is the best expert trader I have seen on a certified broker, I've invested with her for years. Profits are secured and over a 100 percent return on investment. Everyone she processes his or her trade is so lucky, all you have to do is believe in her and follow her guidance. Then sip your drink and relax.
Sri Lanka !!!!
The other reason you see more locals working on Uber and some other stores is because of their rules. Foreigners can't have certain types of jobs, they're only reserved for locals.
Oh yeah I did hear about that. What do you think about this rule?
@@uptins it took away jobs from a lot of the foreigners that were living there just to encourage locals to work.
Every now and then, they'll come up with a new rule that certain occupations are now meant for Saudis only. A single organization must keep a set amount of Saudis in the company otherwise it won't let them renew the residence permit (iqama).
Just because of this, I had to leave Saudi.
@@izhanshafiq324so ur sad because Saudis are finally getting jobs in Saudi Arabia ?
@@dimples5058 no, because in order to create jobs, they literally had to kick people out of the jobs/country. That's what I didn't like.
Banning professions for already settled businesses for years that were already settled.
No way you acc arguing that Saudis finally started to get jobs in Saudi Arabia is a bad thing.
Go back to your country andd demand more jobs.
That is so inconvenient for niqab women that they have to share with men, as a non niqab or muslim you probably wouldn't understand but if you are a niqab you don't want to remove you covering for men being in a different section is way convenient as you can take of your niqab or even hijab whenever you want.
you took yourself. You can hail "gypsy" cabs for a fraction of the cost. Just reach out your hand. Chains also cost more than family owned businesses.
Texas chicken is church’s chicken the the US
It would been nice if you said price in riyals to with usd
1 USD = 3.75 RIYALS

Yes, the population of Saudi Arabia is 30 million, but the number of Saudis is only 18 million

I had no idea Saudi Arabia was so expensive
Yeah but you can also find some good deals! Especially outside of Riyadh
After COVID-19 pandemic, everything in Saudi Arabia have inflated crazily at least +50%
You went to super $$$ places
You can minimize the prices
Was it a 100 US or in their currency?
probably our currency but he just converted the currency
I actually pay using the local currency which is Saudi Riyal, but for the sake of the video I convert to USD
15 dollars is too expensive for a breakfast

This isnt the affordable saudi anymore .....it has become very expensive as heck .
I don't know how the prices were before but yeah I can imagine. I'm sure it's different outside of Riyadh though
