As a Saudi who travels a lot, I noticed that safety point as well. All the places I’ve traveled to I have witness crime on the street. Not done to me, but I was a direct eye witness to countless crimes on the street and that never happened once in all my life living in Saudi Arabia

As a Saudi, I resist watching these videos, I thought it would be another misrepresentation video, but I really enjoyed this! You know how to spend your time.
P.s: regarding the visa and what you had to sign, I wish you could see what we go through as Saudis to apply for American visas, we are treated like guilty until proven otherwise, and when we’ve arrived to NYC, people rudely took pictures of us because we were wearing abayas.
In short, misrepresentation from both sides.

"Why most of the places are deserted, like no one else is there" -> It's because of the hot weather, most people stay indoors during the day until 6pm-7pm. People usually goes out at round 7pm-8pm especially after Isha prayer. Stores closes at around 12AM. During Ramadan, stores closes at around 5AM.

2:18 To be fair Saudi Arabia is the country which hosts the two holiest cities in Islam; Mecca and Medina so the strict cultural rules are fully understood. If tourists want to visit Saudi they must respect the culture and traditions and if they have a problem then don’t visit.

I moved to KSA two years ago with my Saudi husband. All in all, it is a very safe country and the people are very welcoming. I was pretty confused too when I first moved here about why the people are not as active during the day, but I believe it is because 1. the weather, 2. prayer times, and 3. they are just night owls. And just like in the U.S. there are nice parts and not so nice parts. As well as some areas being more conservative than others. But the nightlife is great! And they are big on mocktails, you'll find them everywhere. I love changing peoples perceptions about Saudi, considering most people in the U.S. only know things from the news or film portrayal's. You guys are changing a lot of peoples perceptions!

As someone who does not like to interfere in politics, but who encourages social openness, what Mohammed bin Salman has done during these short years deserves to be applauded. I will not listen to the Western media because it operates according to agendas and political parties. What I see is that the Saudis are happy and proud, they breathe freedom, entertainment and fun and love the Crown Prince, so why do Western newspapers attack them? Saudi Arabia has become a promising tourist destination, and with the end of the mega projects, it will have a global stature. I have already visited AlUla and have never found such a magical place in my life besides the generosity and love that the Saudis offer me.

Regarding your question about the Mall, so this is one of the oldest malls in Saudi Arabia and especially in Riyadh ( Mool AlMamlakah or Mall of Kingdom ) and the reason why no one or only few people go there is that there are newer and more modern styled malls such as AlNakheel Mall and Riyadh Park and soon enough there will be one the largest malls in the world which is Saudia Mall. I'm pretty sure Faisal did his best showing you around, I wish he could have showed you Hanifa Valley one of the most beautiful areas we go to in the winter where we camp there, also Riyadh Front which is like a long path with restaurants, cafes, and stores. As a Saudi, I can proudly say that we have come a long way and I hope to see my country the number 1 destination for tourists !

It's the safest place on earth, no drugs,no alcohol, no guns, no rapist, no serial killer,no school shooting, no public nudity or public sexual conduct. So you can choose to be living in a safe country with very minimal crimes like Saudi or living as "free" in a western country like America but with the largest crime rates, largest prisons population and gun violence and rapes in the world. In Saudi even a jewelry shop was not properly locked when the owner go to pray, they just cover it with plastic or curtains and left it and nobody would steal it. TBH i don't want Saudi to change A LOT and starting to look like just another copy cat of western liberal nations that are plague with crimes, sexualism, hedonism and capitalism. Let Saudi stay Saudi with its strict conservatism.

Saudi is very welcoming to tourists since 2019 when tourism visas were first issued, and I met people from all around the world in the capital, Riyadh. Most of them speak highly of how hospitable and helpful the people are, and how it's really safe in KSA. That's very reassuring as not too long ago we didn't have a tourism business, except religious tourism if you wanna call it that, and many people abroad are lead to believe that Saudi is almost another planet, while we're all humans at the end of the day.
The only reason you got that disclaimer at 2:25 is just so a visitor is aware of the different laws which's actually very nice as in most countries, you'll only know about their unique laws once you're arrested.
Saudi welcomes all people and their different beliefs, and you're way less likely to get in trouble here as a tourist than many other places in the world, including western countries, as most people in SA are considerate, especially for tourists, so the only way something might happen after all of these measures is in case of extreme negligence or intentional lawbreaking. 30% of the population aren't even Saudi nationals and are living in Saudi for jobs they hold, and they're appreciated and have been a part of society for decades, so it'd be farfetched to think it's gonna be a big deal for someone staying less than 6 months traveling around as our beloved guests and crimes are either pretty universal or very obvious as soon as you land here with a very basic idea about the Islamic way of life.
I personally can't wait to see you and for you to experience what our huge country has to offer! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised ❤️

I personally advise you to visit Tanger , Tetouan and chafchaoen in the north of Morocco then you can visit next Al hociema city ,located east of Tanger , and you go down to Fes and meknes , then to continue there is the capital Rabat and you must visit the Kasbah of LOUDAYA there . After that you must visit Marrakech and go to Agafay desert location and Ouzoud waterfalls , next you can visit Beni Melal city if you want to experience skydiving there , and of course Agadire city . And he saw the first transformation of Kingdom building itself. And now, we are witnessing the second transformation.
With Kingdom opening its doors for visitors, it is welcoming them to be part of the incredible Vision 2030 which will make Saudi Arabia one of the leading countries in the world.
People are very friendly, generous and welcoming. The experience this country offers is amazing and you'll not get them anywhere.

You're welcome guys . Your reactions before you land in saudi made me laugh😂 . Saudi Arabia is one of the safest countries in the world, and ranked amoung best countries to walk at night safely , we still have some rules to follow like any other country .. maybe little more than some others, but it is different culture than europe and I think this is what makes Saudi exiting to visit . Hope you enjoied it 👍👍

For some reason I thought you have already been to Saudi Arabia. I must have combined all your other Middle East country adventures and assumed that you've been to all the places. And I think I always assumed that all the Middle East countries had this level of restrictions and always found it interesting how freely you have traveled to Qatar, UAE, etc. As a woman I have been interested in how it would be to travel to Middle East countries. Your nervousness around Saudi Arabia travel are what I assumed my experience for all travel to the Middle East would be. This was really so informative.

I’ve always been fascinated or intrigued by The KSA so I watched this video with keen interest. Again, your presentation albeit only the initial one, had me captivated. Something about a vlog being narrated by the most likeable ‘boys’ on TH-cam. AND, when the content is of the mysterious Saudi Arabia….this is going to be epic. Looking forward to more… (I follow you too on IG).

Just to correct something you had mentioned, separated restaurants from men and women are optionals and it is a choice of the restaurant’s owner. There are many restaurants which are not separated like the one you had eaten , there are two women behind you.

Here’s one thing you need to know abt Saudi Arabia is the night life. People usually do go out in mornings or the afternoons because of the hot weather, so you’d see more people, more traffic, more life at night.

    Few things to mention:
100 Million Tourists = The deputy minister of tourism (a female btw) mentioned that they were REQUIRED to change their notion of a tourist from someone who visited the country from abroad to it being a person who visits a new CITY even if they were citizens (i.e. domestic tourism) and stayed overnight --to be accounted-for in international tourism ranks. So, a single tourist can be considered x10 tourist if they indeed visited 10 cities. Also, remember than each year millions of people already visit Saudi Arabia for Hajj.
Flynas = nas means people in Arabic.
Careem is now quite abandoned in Saudi Arabia. Uber is what's dominant. Also, The Kingdom Mall is very old. We no longer visit it. See Riyadh Park, Nakhil Mall, or Riyadh Front instead.
For separation between singles and families, these are mostly remnants from a previous time. Many restaurants and cafes that still didn't remove those separations would still have a mixed interior. It is mostly conservative cities and small villages that still have strict separation. Funny enough, a new 24h café around me actually separates between singles and families depending on the crowdedness of the customers. Since it tends to have 1h+ waiting period at times, they do this for 'diversity and equality', to ensure the café doesn't turn into a family café or male café.
Most of Riyadh (and Saudi) is not suited for walking because after cars were heavily introduced in the newly-rich Saudi in the 60s, Saudi took-on an American urban planning style which was car-oriented. Sadly, this backfired, and now, there is heavy work on trying to make the city much more human friendly from making megaprojects (e.g. Boulevard, Diriyah Gate, King Salman Park [The greatest in-city park in the world], Qiddiya, Sports boulevard which is a 135km path of walkable spine for Riyadh with towers and centers for culture, art, nature, sports, etc.).

“No country will get a lot of tourism if they make you sign 15 disclaimers about abiding by all their rules before you go, that’s just crazy.”
Guess who does that as well? LITERALLY all other countries.
