It is almost impossible to believe that Judith battled a chronic lung disorder her entire life, yet it didn't stop this beautiful voice from enchanting the world for nearly 60 years, both as the shining star of The Seekers and as a solo artist. Athol Guy, a member of The Seekers, recalled often hearing her coughing in her dressing room, then coming out and blessing us with that beautiful voice. But in the end, she lost the battle, and the lung disorder took her from us at age 79. That voice was just as pure and clear the end of her career as it was in the beginning. If you have never heard her sing "Carry Me," please do. It was the last song she recorded before her death. She recorded it as a solo artist, but her fellow Seekers planned on adding harmony to the song as a surprise for her, but she died before they could finish adding it. But, to honor her memory, they upgraded the song and released it to the public.
It's hard to say goodbye, lovely lady. May you rest in peace. I played this last night and today you're gone. Thank you for filling our lives with you're beautiful voice and memorable songs. God bless ❤️❤️
A beautiful gem of a song, sung by the most precious gem of a singer. I`ve been so upset since she passed away this month, but I am so glad that we can all still see and hear you`re great legacy. Also, so sorry for the remaining Seekers. RIP Judith--God Bless
This lady’s beauty of voice and singing talent is just so colossal as to make me think that maybe there is a God after all. Surely, you would think, no-one can possibly be as wonderful as Judith Durham is without it being a gift from above.
The 60's was an amazing time musically, so many great artists and so many innovative and creative composers. Through it all, I knew Judith Durham was unique and special, and so it turned out. What an incredible era, I think never to be repeated.
It isn’t just the staggering beauty of her voice that makes everyone love Judith Durham’s singing. She also packs so much feeling and emotion into that it is quite incredible. I get tears in my eyes just listening to this astounding singer and I am not really an emotional person.

I’m 82 but young and I love the great voice of one of the all time greats, I’ve never heard this song and I started to cry, God wasn’t she great

I miss my mama she passed away on Nov 4 2023 we had to let her go and my heart is still broken

August 6, 2022. Just learned of Judith's death. Love this music. I want this recording played at my funeral.
this is one of the Seekers songs l played at my husbands funeral it still brings me to sobbing my heart out.
