Just sitting listening to judith durham singing on her birthday, it's hard to believe judith would have been 80 today, Thinking about you, judith, on your birthday 💖💖💖💖
Judith`s singing prowess is almost beyond words. Her voice is angelic, bright and clear. Singing pitch perfect with an incredible range and natural vibrato. There will hardly ever be anyone again to match her singing ability, it was a huge gift and truly amazing. RIP Judith, you will NEVER be forgotten, and your music will live on forever.
I was a teenager in the 60's but somehow did not know the Seekers or Judith Durham. I am now 68 years old and just found them. Such a talent! Beautiful voice, beautiful compositions. She is truly blessed as a musician. So glad I found her!
You can't compare 90% of today's 'singers' with Judith Durham, she is simply in a league of her own, and the Seekers as a group are untouchable as far as talent goes!
This lady Judith Durham is unbelievable. Not only has she been blessed with the most beautiful voice & wonderful singing talent I have ever heard in my life, but she is capable of composing & singing a heartfelt piece of music like this. I have written several times here on TH-cam that her talent is just so wonderful that I cannot help thinking it being divine. Hearing this for the first time today makes me even more certain!!!.
None can match this woman's voice, at any age, or the harmonies sung by the guys. I knew of the Seekers thru their hits in the '60's, lost track of them after they broke up, and only recently re-discovered them via You Tube. I now listen to them every day at work, and recently managed to buy some of their CDs that are actually out of print. Can't wait to be able to listen to this wonderful group in my car. They are superb! Thanks to all who have contributed to the You Tube library of Seekers songs, interviews, and performances.
Yes without a doubt Judith Durham has beautiful voice given from God. Today what do we have? Yelling, screaming, jumping like fools and nothing to listen to.
Very moving, and demonstrates Judith's values. I don't think Judith has ever had the ego to take on the fact that her voice is thought of by milions to be completely out of this world.
The words of this song leave me totally speechless! From the age of seven onwards I've loved the Seekers. Judith Durham may be gone now yet the music still remains. The music of the sixties came in many forms yet The Seekers were definitely part of it and rightly so!
Many of us from this generation lived our lives and loves through the Seekers, beauty, youth, joy and happiness, it's all there in the music. Oh those times were good.
I first heard this song one year ago! Love this particular song because my husband and best friend, passed away last year! This song and “Far Shore” were so comforting to me I couldn’t get enough. I love you, Johnny, forever and ever. We would have been together 50 yrs. this December.❤❤😢🙏🏻🙏🏻
I SAW THIS BEAUTIFUL LADY, on utube only yesterday, since the sixties, but its only now I appreciate her talent, and may I say her beauty, it is the first time I have heard this particular song, and i am afraid my eyes were filled with tears, I lost access to my grandchildren 12 years ago through a vindictive mother, this song has bought back all the heartache & some lovely memories too,
It's difficult to believe that this song was written in 1971 - it's timeless and the vocal performance is powerful and beautiful. Thank you, Proculled, for posting this great quality recording!
I'm almost glad I wasn't born an Aussie, for I surely would have mourned the breaking up of The Seekers. On the contrary, I mourn that my younger self never got to know them at all. Thank God and gracious uploaders for creating the memories I would normally be reflecting back on as I approach 62
I wouldn’t describe myself as a very emotional person but this lady Judith Durham, and this song in particular, just reduces me to tears. I couldn’t agree more with William Murray below!.
This beautiful song, beautifully sung, by a beautiful angel-lady...brings me to tears. It hasn't been so long that my Momma passed away and it reminds me her her. I love Judith!
Maybe they need to take a trip to Oz(stralia) and see and hear the Wizardress there. I hear she can warm hearts to life with her enchanting voice. Who needs Kansas anyway. (No offense you Jayhawks)
Yes she did write the song as someone else mentioned. She wrote the song to her family because she was leaving her family behind. Not because she was leaving the seekers. Her live solo version will leave you cold. She doesn’t face the camera while she’s singing. She turns to the camera at the end I believe she was crying while she was singing it. I’ve followed her and her boys from the very beginning. WHAT AS REALLY PISSED ME OFF IS THERE AS NOT BEING ANY MENTION OF HER PASSING AWAY. ONE SINGER I COULD LISTEN TO ALL DAY LONG. SOMETHING I HAVE DONE MANY TIMES. ❤️🌈 R I P JUDITH ANOTHER ANGEL TO SING FOR THOSE WHO WILL BE HAPPY IN HEAVEN AND SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN OR EARTH XX
It's raing here in SoCal so I have time to sit and listen, and read it's amazing how much music really talks to us- well this music anyway. So much heartache so much joy too many goodbyes and not enough farewells-
It's hard to leave you all behind Those loving smiles so sweet and kind I love you all, you're part of me With you I leave the heart of me It's hard to go, but now's the time With loving arms I intertwine There will be times I miss you so It's hard to leave, but I must go I won't look back along the way It only makes me want to stay With every step I'm sure I'll find A different loved one on my mind Without my friends here by my side My destiny will be my guide There will be times I miss you so It's hard to leave, but I must go It's hard to leave the ones you love Though other stars may shine above But I can hope within my song That after all it won't be long But it is now I feel the pain I may not see you all again There will be times I miss you so It's hard to leave but I must go It's hard to leave but I must go

this is a great song then again any song the seekers perform are great . this song takes me back to the time when my parents were alive and makes me feel whole and happy that is just what they do as a group make everyone happy . does anyone know what is going on with Judith is she well and ok now I have not heard much thank you for the posting .
They are not as well known as they deserved. I think they always missed a good manager in the 1960s since, for instance, they never did a long tour of the USA.
I suppose it’s a matter of how much you could fit in in the time available. It would have made a good finishing song but, as it was, the ending was pretty near perfect with the tribute from the boys, the recording of ‘Carry Me’ and Julia Samira’s recital of the opening words from ‘It’s Hard to Leave,: It’s hard to leave you all behind Those loving smiles so sweet and kind I love you all, you’re part of me With you I leave the heart of me A wonderful way to finish!
@@larryvermeer6170 You’re right Larry. ‘It’s Hard to Leave’ is one of my favourite songs and I believe that the opening lines, spoken by Julia Samira at the end of the state memorial, are Judith’s words to all of us. Regards, Martin.

I fell in love with her and her voice the very first time I heard her sing ( sent from up above ). Purest voice of all.
With out a doubt an Angel.

It's hard to leave you all behind
Those loving smiles so sweet and kind
I love you all, you're part of me
With you I leave the heart of me
It's hard to go, but now's the time
With loving arms I intertwine
There will be times I miss you so
It's hard to leave, but I must go
I won't look back along the way
It only makes me want to stay
With every step I'm sure I'll find
A different loved one on my mind
Without my friends here by my side
My destiny will be my guide
There will be times I miss you so
It's hard to leave, but I must go
It's hard to leave the ones you love
Though other stars may shine above
But I can hope within my song
That after all it won't be long
But it is now I feel the pain
I may not see you all again
There will be times I miss you so
It's hard to leave but I must go
It's hard to leave but I must go
