  • Sit back, relax, and enjoy this full build in the Cooler Master NR200P. Case appears at 1:36 !
    I will be updating the cooling configuration in this build soon, so subscribe to see that!
    This was a fun build! I recommend this case to anyone with a low to medium budget.
    I mounted the triple slot GPU with a 2 slot bracket from EVGA. I had to grind down the bracket in order to do so.
    Please comment with your questions and I will answer them.

    I appreciate you leaving in the undo/redo. Impossible to avoid that with the SFF.
    I’m inviting the buyer’s remorse watching builds in this case. I just built my first pc in a Thermaltake V1. If I could have found a SF PSU close to retail, I would have gone even smaller. I paid slightly over retail for both my CPU and GPU. The markups on the SF PSU were just a bridge too far-some were almost double retail!
    Anyway, good stuff. Nice and chill half hour. Appreciate it.

    Really nice video work. My only bitch about this case is the mandatory bottom-mount of the rad kit for a 240mm AIO when running a vertical GPU configuration. You could not pick a *worse* place for an AIO radiator. than the lowest point in the entire rig, regardless of fan direction. *All* AIO loops have a minimum "acceptable" amount of air in in the lines, and that config ensures that air will settle in the worst place possible for an AIO: the pump, which ultimately leads to pump whine and premature failure. I would have much preferred if they allowed the 240mil rad+fan deck to be swappable to the top of the case, allowing top or bottom to host the rad. It would have been extremely functional in this build, and still allow for mounting just fans on the bottom. It would have also blown through the price point they were shooting for, so I can understand the reluctance, but it would still be nice as an option.

    • @mmyrvold5494
      @mmyrvold5494 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The radiator pipes is on the top, not the pump. He ran the pipes around the pump so all the air will be in the loop not the pump :) And in this case u cant mount the rad in the top if u want fans on it :((

    • @tomasdiazvelez5822
      @tomasdiazvelez5822 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yep i was reading comments to check if someone else noticed. The purpose of that coolers is to put some air into the radiator. I think the best option for this setup its to mount the coolers down, sucking air from the bottom, and above the radiator.

    AIO: Bottom Radiator with Pump at highest point will make bubbles float towards the Pump, thus increasing noise and decreasing Pump Lifespan....I had an AIO Model which Pump got killed within 3 Months with such config. I had 3 Pumps die that way (in 2017 before GN made their research)...

    mounting the aio on the bottom is a horrible thing to do , air bubbles will accumulate in the pump and kill it quite fast , $ 150 easy down the drain in less than a year you need to go custom loop . or just mount it on top like a decent builder who appreciates all their possessions would . also the sag on your gpu just makes me cringe .

  • @danebeee1

    @Chugs4Serotonin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I wouldn't have put that radiator at the bottom. Any air in the aio is gonna move up, in this case where the pump is. Especially over time as more liquid permeates the loop causing more air to enter. Otherwise, great build!

    • @sabrid54
      @sabrid54 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would an aio like the pure loop 240 from bequiet fix this issue? The pump is located near the radiator between the tubes.

    • @Chugs4Serotonin
      @Chugs4Serotonin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sabrid54 it would eliminate the problem for the pump, yes, but you'd still have air hanging out where the heat fins for the coldplate are, affecting water flow through the fins. Also, if you front mount a radiator, make sure the tubes are coming from the bottom, not the top, otherwise air will sit at the top where the tubes meet the radiator, affecting water flow to and from the pump. Orientation doesn't matter if you top mount the radiator. But yeah, air always wants to move to and stay at the highest point of the loop, so just keep that in mind
      Basically...
      Top mounted - doesn't matter, it's fine
      Front mounted - depends on orientation
      Bottom mounted - bad idea
      Side mounted - fine as long as the pump for the aio isn't above the radiator, (still not ideal tho if the radiator is horizontal, because you really want air to be on the side of the radiator opposite of the tubes, vertical side mounting like in an O11 dynamic is fine tho, same as front mounting)
      Rear mounted - same as front
      Hope this helps

    • @Chugs4Serotonin
      @Chugs4Serotonin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@technic its still not 100 percent ideal, but I'd side mount it. Lose the tempered glass panel and use the mesh panel if you have the model that comes with both. You won't have air anywhere near the cold plate which is fine, but ideally, you want air to be in the radiator, specifically the side opposite of where the tubes come out. That's the only place to mount it tho besides the bottom, which is the worst way.

      You might want to build in a mid tower case instead of a small form factor case for your first pc. It is easier.

      @@Subdubbin I currently have my AIO at the top of my case, but watching how your tube is routed got me thinking. GN said that the pump shouldn't be at the highest point of the loop, but technically in your loop, it's actually part of the tubing that's technically at the "top." So if there were any bubbles, they'd technically be wanting to collect there, right? Maybe my understanding of AIOs is incorrect but in terms of physics that's what I'm thinking.... What are your thoughts?

    Question why the radiator at bottom instead of on top?

  • @zeuslgn
    @zeuslgn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Lessons learned as I built mine: 1) Use Noctua slim 15mm fans for top and bottom, 2) use an SFX - - not SFX-L - - PSU with flexible cables, particularly if your GPU is a titanic beast.

    • @Subdubbin
      @Subdubbin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 25mm top fans fit fine. Why did you need slim fans on top?

    • @zeuslgn
      @zeuslgn 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Subdubbin My pre-existing RGB RAM has a weird wing shape that jams ever so slightly into the fan just above the motherboard's left side. It's also a close shave with the cables and PSU just under the top right side so I ultimately opted for the extra space from the slimmer fans.
