Nice video:) so the main engine must run to get stability at anchor ?
If I ever won the Lottery, this is exactly the kind of ship I'd invest in.
True 👍
❤
Invest?😂
Me too
I love the no nonsense functionality of this boat
🫡
Yeah, definitely looks to have the capability of an expedition vessel. I’d feel confident taking that to some unknown, remote region of the world.
I really like the interior of this vessel. It's comfortable, without being ostentatious.
100%
Very nice ship with fine lines. I like ships that are built as professional ships without a cocktail atmosphere. Nice engine room. I would build a sauna in the hold. Thumbs up for this ship. Thanks for showing it and greetings from Sweden.
🙌🇸🇪
A really great no nonsense long range cruser. However for long Atlantic crossings and Pacific ones she definitely needs that extra fuel capacity. As you suggested you'd also need to fit sola panels. Suprised about the lack of fiddle rails and pan clamps on the cooker. All that storage space would be needed for long distance travelling. Makes a nice change to see a proper boat and not a gin palace with a flying bridge etc.
This is a wonderful explore motor yacht, I am surprise she has been for sale for so long.
If I won the National Lottery, I would snap up this vessel straight away.
Great boat . . That big room . . Extra freezer space . Dry goods , flour etc . And to add to the autonomy of the ship .a black water treatment system . . Love it . .
👍🍻🇳🇿twa
If only these boats go up in value just like houses do. What a marvel of a boat.
Boat: a hole in the water where money falls through
I would absolutely leave those two areas as dry storage and a workshop. I'm often surprised how few long range boats have spare parts visible on board. I would think that either one of those areas would have some heavy duty shelving for spare parts along with oil change equipment, etc. I would hate to be out in the north Atlantic and be stranded because I didn't bring an extra part that is easily changed by the owner. Especially one that is not readily available in any port like spark plugs or filters. Just my 2 cents....Greetings from Texas....John B.

Great walkaround. The map insert for the location is a great touch too. Makes it easier to know were you are in the video. Thanks.
Thanks for the tips!
18:09 = straight to the best refit company i could source. The boat has potential.
Which company would you choose?
@@YachtBuoy Worth a look. Burger Boat Company Manitowoc, WI
That engine-room alone has more space than some condos lol
For the large cargo/storage area, maybe add a couple multi-exercise machines/benches or just a rower/bike, and maybe use the rest of it for bulk dry/can goods stowage.
Electric bikes, paddle boards, provisions, hammocks for extra passengers, exercise machine,
Awesome boat mate, I would take it on a circumnavigation of Antarctica, use that forward utility area as food storage, and perhaps another reserve Fuel tank. I remember when you had 3000 subs, your exceptional presenting style and knowledge has deservedly seen your numbers grow, keep going mate, stay well.
Thank you! 🫡
Beauty! The colour of the hull really fits!!
Love the versatility of this craft and the spud pole is a great idea something I had never come across before but see the advantages. Love its lines and simple interior styling.
Personally I would set the storage area up as a micro brewery, making good use of that watermaker.
nice! 🙌🫡
Never run out of beer!
I like the way you think….lol 🍻😁
Stunning woodwork John, beautifully done and finished, what a diamond, Thank you!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it 🫡
Amazing boat! The little inset floorplan showing filming locations within the boat was awesome!! Really enjoyed this video, thank you for posting it! Best regards from Brasilia, Brazil.
Line Cutter on the Prop Shaft is smart.
Stunning wood panelled interior !!
Im not a sailor, but i would absolutely die for a no-nonsense all electric boat in almost this exact format designed for long-term liveaboard. Slap on a starlink, get a small office, and make money on the ocean traveling the world.
get a sailboat
Perfect for my dream.. Capetown - Rio..with lots of space to carry a few mini containers..
Love it! I would have to convert the cargo area into a play room for my crew. They get feisty if they don't get enough play time with the Captain.
Be happy, be safe
😂😂😂
This is a very nicely appointed vessel indeed!
💯%
Yup! you said it "a beautiful boat" 😍
I love the woodwork. Lovely ship.
I'd turn that storage room into an office / home theater.
Thanks John, needed this video. Have been looking at this boat for ages and could not fathom the layout of cabins. Yes, split the heads, crazy. I'd keep 4 dirt bikes in the hold for motorcycle charters in South America.
Glad you enjoyed it 🫡
That's a cracking piece of kit. I'd love it😊
This thing as a motorsailor and you got my boat.....like that "serious work boat" design a lot.
So wise , Thank You . Looks like a fine seaworthy design . I like the Storage space , the Spud pole is interesting . Bridge looks well designed and operational. I do consiter a work bench and work area vital. i do like the engine room and the access to the stearing . Access to every thing looks well maintained , accessable , and usable. Thank You.
love this boat
As a long retired trawling skipper i would certainly be quite happy to sail on this vessel, but why no fiddle on the cooker top??, probably the most important place to have one, also being relatively isolated up at the helm i would want a coffee machine installed somewhere to help combat long hours on duty. Fiddles are something i always look for , especially in the galley, as many a nasty accident or mess has been prevented by them.
Fantastic boat, I want it. Thanks for the video. Very informative. Cheers mate.
Thank you for sharing! Lovely ship!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent work. I have a 30 Dory cutter. All electric. Been in crypto for quite a while, now. Planning on a Nordhavn 56 motorsailer in 2 - 3 years.. With what's going on in the world right now.. Everyone fighting. I'm sailing away. Thanks again for all the work you do. And good luck everyone. 🍀
Thanks for watching 🫡
Fabulous review! Thankyou!
Neat boat, lots of room, I really like the chine configuration
Great job I have been waiting to see this one under review.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for this tour! I really love the practical nature of this design with a cargo hold! What an interesting boat to cruise home to Australia in! Watching again now as I didn’t catch if she had active stabilisation - keep up the good work 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Don't think that it has stabilisation.
Sirius is the name of Captain Haddock ship in the Tintin series of books, look’s very similar also
That was my first thought. Calculus is sleeping in the life boat. 🤣
I saw some drawing on the listing for crew quarters in the cargo hold area that I would use as a guide. Probably update the electrical with solar and more or better batteries so you could at least have enough energy storage to turn the generator off for awhile. I would also look at putting an induction stove and electric oven so you could get rid of the propane. I would love this boat if I had the money and time.
Love this one
This would be perfect for off grid cruising!
Awesome yacht
Very nice ship. I have seen her before. Nice and clean solutions, not so many places for insects to hide. Easy to maintain clean outside. I only miss a ketch rig for stability and safety then this ship is perfect. Great job sir!
Thanks 👍
A ketch rig on a motoryacht?
I love that boat!!!
I wish I had the money. I wouldnt mind to buy the vessel. She looking beautiful
Cool boat!
Amazing and So Beautiful ❤🎉
If I remember right the cargo hold was used before as a garage for a Land Rover Defender. An extra cabin would be my choice as 3 cabins is not a lot for such a big boat.
You don't remember right
That was the m/v andros
Although they've removed the land rover now and she's been for sale for several years now...
Hi, I love this boats clean practical lines, nothing flash like some floating gin palaces. If I were young enough with the means I would definitely be interested.
The for’d hold I would use for provisions, maybe some canvas to rig as aux.sails to assist the engine.A great tour,cheers.Roly🇬🇧.
There are so many awesome yacht builders in the Netherlands
Absolutely! 🇳🇱
Really nice boat.👌
Yo ships. This lady is dying for her own theme song. Summer, by bensound. As always, great works and thank you.
Love it
It's perfect for my tastes. At first it seemed not very luxurious (given the price) but based upon the way it is set up, it is designed for practical uses and I'm okay with that.
Nice video:) so the main engine must run to get stability at anchor ?
Enjoyed the video 😊. On the whole an interesting yacht. Unfortunately, an unimaginative and dowdy fit out.
Glad you enjoyed it
Perfect, at least for me!
She's gorgeous
Function, Personality, Range, Simple, Versatile, Everything you need.
Seems much more fitting for the worker/ scientific side of things. Seeing its laid out as pretty much half domestic/ half business. Or as you say, an Apocalypse vessel.
Nice!👍❤️
The Bow Thrusters are very important. You never had to dock while alone.
Hoy hoy captain Chester !!
I would add a walk in refrigerator with a freezer inside it for more food storage. I didn't see a dinning room so I would add that. Crew quarters were lacking.
She's a lovely Girl, I could see myself in Alaska, The Caribbean, down the coast of Chile, over to Hawaii, then the leisurely sail from the Marshall Islands (lol,...leisurely) down to New Zealand and then to Australia. Then on Day 2,.......All kidding aside, she's a beautiful and capable looking Boat that would suit pretty much all my wants. I agree that adding a couple dive tank compressors would be a must, and possibly even converting that one tank into another fuel tank however I think I would leave the cargo hold alone. Perhaps add some pallet shelving along the sides for durable and safe storage but leave the rest open for a couple of Dual Purpose Adventure Bikes and enough area to carry 6-9 pallets of goods. Handy for if the World gets really crazy or even just as a cargo hold for goods bound to another Island or place withing the range of this Lady.
If it were home in TX, it could have a couple 50 cal's mounted- one on bow one on stern!
That's a nice boat or should I say ship John! Last time I saw a ship called Sirius was a Leander class frigate F40 back in the 70's/80's. A bit big for me but if I was minted I'd have a skipper and crew of course haha. Cheers shipmate ⚓⚓
Thanks shippers ⚓️🫡 #BZ
Are used to work on a 40 foot Gillnetter if there was anything left to limp back in to port or to the tender I could do it so I am looking at this ship as if it were a lollipop😊
Love it 🎉
🫡
That cargo hold is pretty sweet. I'd put a ping pong table down there.
Nice work 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
yes please
YES! How about a Harley and a Fiat? Patagonia, Adriatic and Caribbean.
Do you think this boat could sail to Vancouver Island from Europe via the north-west passage? Keep up the great boat tours! 👍
Yes, absolutely
@@YachtBuoy That is what I was thinking.
This boat is an absolut beauty. Cosy and functionnal, and not looking like Floating night club. A real Boat. I would be curious how many crew you need to sail it and how much maintenance cost per year you should expect...
You could put up extra temporary beds in that forward area for global exploring.
I would turn the hold in the new masters cabin and use the bunk cabin as the crew cabin
As a tech savvy Dutch man I would also redo the helm and Instal furuno equipment
🫡
replace simrad with Furuno?????? crazy idea
@@steinarlarsen9899 Why??
There is a reason why almost everything long range or commercial is Furuno.
If you whant to do a long distance cruising you want time zero and Furono go great support
oh this one is great, it would be great for the lakes and rivers around here 77'' isn't to long to be docked. fitting nicely into one of the 100m berths.
though i still wouldn't trust her on the lakes when the witch of November is in a mood.
forward area, large storage space would be great as a vehicle bay. replace 1 of the tenders with a landing craft tender. able to load and carry a quad, pair of motor bikes, or even a small UTV side by side or something like a boomer buggy. just what ever can fit through the cargo door.
Unfortunaly there isn't enough deck space to move the boats and open the cargo doors with the boats still on deck. this means you'd have to deploy the landing craft then load it with the vehicles, which can make things a lot more tricky. you'd also have to deploy the boat at port... to move any of the vehicles onto the dock.
But being able to carry vehicles, both off road, and short range internally would be a huge benefit. especially small side by sides, allowing you to drive in pick up a few 100 kg of cargo, food, what ever, and drive back.... or a boomerbuggy allowing you to visit a town and see the sights...
Submarine in the cargo hold and helicopter on the top deck. Go full Jacques Cousteau!!! 😂
😂🙌
If it was my boat, good luck trying to find me 😁 Outstanding video shipmate 👍🤟
😂😂 thanks, shippers ⚓️
Hmm. This trawler reminds me of the Sirius in the comic books Tintin. I wonder if the owner named her Sirius after the books.
Her bones and machinery are excellent. But if I was spending that sort of money I would expect walk around beds in both the master and VIP cabins and a lot more refrigeration.
Absolutely and private heads, that shared jack and jill arrangement is a no go...
Fantastic boat. I’d put a small sauna in the hold, ditch the urinal and put a sofa in the salon. Love it.
Good vid.
Thanks!
Hi , what is the iveco “humer” engine system? Sorry i also tought it was homer engine and Google didn’t help that much.
I wonder if that cargo hold could be converted to crew bunks or a captain’s quarters. They certainly would have quick, direct access to the deck and the workshop.
It def could be! There is lots of space in there
Very Nice boat. She has very pretty lines. I would have to think about what I would do to reconfigure it but you have the room. I would want a bigger master cabin with its own bathroom and more outside spaces. I would probably open up the kitchen into the salon too.
i'll take it!
What a gorgeous boat. At current rates, though, I don't think I could afford to fill it with diesel if you gave it to me for free!
Однозначно лайк!
У тебя отличный вкус!
Though far from austere it is definitely lacking in some areas. It needs a larger and better equipped galley and it has too much unused space. A covered upper deck would be a nice touch also. Yes, I understand this is an explorer trawler built for sea-worthiness and distance but unless you're Fridtjof Nansen you would probably appreciate a few more amenities.
I wish it was not a single engine vessel. The Homer engine's power, speed and range is not explained in the video. There is plenty of room to add another engine or just repower with two engines of a more international availability of parts. There is also lots of room to move the shop to the lazarette and build additional cabins in the bow area. This is a great boat with lots of possibilities.
Technically she has two 🫡
Yeah! It would be much better if it was twin screw. Otherwise I do like the layout.
Speed AND range were mentioned in the engine room tour
Sorry, I meant with the auxilliary engine.
She actually has 3 identical thrusters (sleipner I think)
- bow thruster
- stern thruster
- auxiliary prop
You can see the aux prop/thruster at 21:18, bottom left is a horizontal hydraulic ram that lowers/raises the thruster … and at 2:10 where you can see the thruster lowered to the left
Hire it out as a commercial trawler, but that would be mega bucks. I e. contacting the right people for the job. The insurances, and licenses and general management, fuel costs and up keep of the boat is mind boggling...No I think hire it out as a pleasure boat hopping from island to island. Probably as a great Wedding novelty. Or get in it and get lost. From time to time...with me fishing buddies, obviously for hire...😊😅😂...
What do you suppose is the purpose of that open space directly beside the helm? You've got what looks like a chart station to port, but to starboard it's just a gap. I guess you could stand there, if you needed a better view of the deck?
More Dutch boats please.
I would go around the world 🌎
