    It's great to see you back on the road again, Paul! I love the NC 750X but with all the dirt and gravel roads here where I live, when it becomes tire changing time I'd probably put some more off-road biased skins on. But I love the low center of gravity with the fuel tank below the seat. Easier to pick up if I dropped it.....which is a probability! Good to see you riding again!

      Thanks Gregory! Don't worry, if I was doing more serious or extensive off road work I would change the tyres too. I've looked into it and there are a lot of good options out there.
      To give you an idea of the pillion seat size, the usable area is 11" long (from front to back) 9" wide at the front of the pillion seat and tapers back to 6" at the rear of the seat. The seat foam is firm. The drop from the pillion seat to the pillion pegs is 17". As a comparison, the drop from the rider seat down to the footpegs is 19".
      The rider pegs are aluminium with rubber tops but the pillion pegs are plain aluminium, no ruuber. We haven't given the pillion seat a good distance test yet but I'm not expecting it to be good for longer runs. I'd say my wife wood start getting uncomfortable after about 30 minutes.

    Was out with my Rebel 1100 yesterday here in Finland, beautiful weather, 14C and sunny! One of the best riding days, not too warm/cold. The Rebel is great.

    Interesting review, I’m in Aus ( Wollongong)
    I came from owning 2 FJR1300s over 20 years and bought a 2017 NC December 2023. Apart from the driveshaft I’m not realty missing the bigger bikes
    Shame we can’t buy the 2021 version and yet New Zealand still sells them

    I have a 2021 nc750 I am 6'1" and love the 800mm seat hight also the seat is higher at the front so more comfy. the nc hides its weight very well as you say. fuel cosump is ace👍

    5:10 this is more of a rumor than fact, but it persists. A Honda engineer meant it as kind of a joke when the bike was first revealed. The engine design and valve train is similar, but it’s not really a Honda Fit engine minus two cylinders, especially as a 270° crank angle.

    Great video….hoping to get this bike….love the scenery…which part of Victoria was it….I have travelled on holiday around the Yarra valley, Macedon range and up in the Dandenongs….cannot wait to get back late next year…..now to get this 2022 version…..cheers..stay safe

    I was very close to buying the 2021 NC750X, but couldn’t decide between manual and DCT. Here in Southern California the DCT models don’t last long at dealerships and some have huge markups on them. I thought I had one lined up, no deposit necessary, but then the salesman informed me it had sold before I could get there. I tried for a manual one at another dealership, but it had just sold also. I was going to go to another, farther away dealership that had a manual and a DCT in stock, but at that same dealership I was already at they had just gotten a very hard to find Rebel 1100 DCT (which I also had an interest in) so I went for that instead. Only a $700 difference between the NC750X DCT and Rebel 1100 DCT to me means one may be overpriced or one is very underpriced. Liking it so far, but still curious about the NC. It definitely won’t be difficult to sell the Rebel if I decide I want the NC next year. Cheers!

      Thanks for sharing your experience! Others have said the NC is very hard to get in the US at the moment, are those shipping containers still banked up on the water? I wonder how many bikes are in those? Surprised there is only $700 difference between a DCT NC750X and Rebel 1100 DCT... does sound like there is a hefty markup on the NC750X in the US. It's hard for me to make a price comparison locally as the NC750X is no longer sold in Australia 😒

      @@BikesILike Not sure if it’s the backed up shipping containers, lack of semiconductors, both, or neither. The 2021 NC isn’t sold in Australia?! What a crime. I hope that changes for 2022. I thought it might not come to the US considering it has never been a strong seller here like it is elsewhere, but that seems to have changed dramatically with the 2021 model. And yes $9299 for a NC750X DCT ($8499 manual) and $9999 for the Rebel 11000 DCT ($9299 manual). The Rebel 1100 is the motorcycle bargain of 2021 and one of the best I’ve seen since the MT-09/MT-07 of 2014, if you can get one that is.

      @@mindspinn311 I got lucky and found a 2022 NC750X DCT version about 250 miles from me. As soon as I saw it was available I put a deposit on it. I missed two other 2021 versions that were closer because I hesitated about putting a deposit down.

    TFT is not on the 2021. It´s a new panel but it´s only LCD.

    I've tested it and liked very much. However storage box is too small. Lot of wasted space between seat and handlebar - easy to enlarge it with next 5 or more liters. No usb socket. But the coception is great.

    If you are planning to keep the bike long then you should get Hyper Pro shocks with their front fork cartridge. It transforms the bike

    Did you consider a DCT transmission? I think the low rev torque engine of the NC is great for DCT.

      I would've bought a DCT NC750x as I really wanted to try it but for some reason Honda never brought that model to Australia.

      I designed mine and 3D printed it. If you have a 3D printer or know someone with a 3D printer you can use my part. Here is a link to my STL file -

    Can you comment on the value of a used nc750x vs the nc700x . This is my second bike stepping up from a Versys x300 which is grossly under powered for my 35 mile commute

      Thank you! Yes I made a 3D printable bracket which I'm happy to share with you if you are into 3D printing. But in reality all you need is a flat piece of steel bent into shape. Here are a couple of videos on TH-cam showing the process. th-cam.com/video/623_CIpyulU/w-d-xo.html

      From memory, in one of the videos the guy cuts up the seat. I wouldn't recommend doing that, It's not necessary and the bike can be put back to original condition when it's time to sell if you leave the seat untouched. 👍

      The NC750X was released in both manual and DCT auto options. In Australia we only got the manual version. ;)

    What about vibrations in the bike? I have 2 bikes now and the Z650 Kawasaki are killing my arms with vibrations. Other bike i have is a brad new Harley Davidson Softail Standard. And its almost no vibrations in that bike because of the new M8 engine. But im thinking of sell my Kawasaki and buy a bike for use on shorter trips.

      I'm sensitive to vibrations through the bars, my hands would start tingling on the BMW K 1300 S I had. Vibration wise there's nothing that grabs my attention on the NC750X.

      @@BikesILike I have some nerve damage in my arms and neck so im thinking of buy a Rebel 1100 or a Africa twin with no clutch. The thing that i worry with same bike as you have is the power in it. Im used to have much more power so i was hoping it had like 80-90 hp. But i need to test this bike first. And here in Thailand they still sell it 🙂

      @@kongebilj193 Your situation is different from mine so I'd definitely be test riding each bike before purchasing. If you like more horsepower then the NC750X might not be the bike for you. The Rebel 1100 or Africa Twin might be better options. 👍

      They have reduced the suspension travel on the newer NC750X but my bike is the 2020 model and it has longer suspension travel. For the kind of roads I ride on I find it to be very good.

      I think it's a great bike! And that's coming from someone who's owned and ridden a lot of bikes. I originally wanted to buy a DCT version but they were never released in Australia so manual it is. I have no regrets, the manual gearbox is a pleasure to use. I don't even think about it to be honest.

      ​@@arismous8586 Sorry I don't quite understand your question? I think you're asking what rpm the bike is doing at highway speeds with the manual gearbox? If so, it's a very relaxed feel, engine is not working hard at 100 km/h. No vibrations.

      Yeah they stopped selling them in Australia not long after I bought my bike, mine's a 2020 model. They are great bikes Jack I can understand why people would choose to hang on to them.

      Thanks David. Yes I've seen Honda dealers in the US with next to no stock on the floor. I've heard the problem is all those ships parked at sea loaded with containers. Hopefully they can get that situation resolved soon and stock can start flowing again.

      There is that. I can't even find used bikes available. I suppose that says something good about the ones already here. I'm up in the air between the Honda NC750X, the VFR800X Crossrunner, and the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT.
      I'm not sold on the DCT idea, as I have gotten used to clutching and coasting at times. Not sure how that would work without a clutch lever.

      @@Vibe77Guy I can understand why people are hanging on their NC750X's, they're great bikes. I like new Tracer 900 GT, getting good reviews too. My only concern with the Crossrunner would be resale value. They're not as big a seller as the NC750X or Tracer.

      Both US and British mile are practically the same. In the US you can use International mile or survey mile when measuring. The international mile is exactly 0.999 998 of a US survey mile. That's close enough for me. 1 international mile equals 1.609344 km and 1 US Survey mile equals 1.6093472. The International mile is most commonly used.
