I own that scanner and I have a 01 and 03 s430 and my daily driver is a 06 s500 amg. I understand how the scanner works and what most of the options do and how to use the info to figure out what is the main issue. But theres alot of stuff that I don't know what to do if I use the actuation bi directional feature to turn the sensor or whatever on and off but it would be nice if you included showing what to do if you get a non functioning module or sensor or actuator etc.. or use the real time data to figure out what caused a dtc and how the other features are used to test mixture adaptation and if you have a code for the banks to be running lean or rich and you can adjust the air fuel mixture to be leaner or richer and I can feel the car running a little smoother as i change the fuel percentage up but it doesn't seem to stay like that when I exit that function so I'm wondering what good is that feature or something like that to figure out what is causing my mixture adaptation to lean on both banks to be giving a dtc. I probably didn't do a good job of explaining what im actually asking you to show us but I would like to see how you use some of the features and the numbers or whatever kind of info you get from the part you are measuring with the scanner to figure out what the actual problem is. Thank you for all the effort you put into these videos to help diyers like myself and again sorry for the terrible explanation of what im asking for and I hope you can figure out what it is im try to say and hopefully you will have a video using the launch to diagnose a indept issue.
Can it code certain features out? For example: i no longer have the airmatic system on my 2004 E500. I removed it all and replaced it with BC Coilovers. But because of this i always get the car image on the dash gauge at start up that shows a fault for the system obviously stating "visit workshop". That system fault can be coded out permanently but ive been lazy to go to a tech and get that done. Takes all of 5 minutes to do. Was wondering if that "Launch" item can accomplish that? Thanx. Hi Akadectra - you are right. You may wish to write to them and see how to get an adapter. However, they do advertise it works with 1996 and newer Mercedes, Sprinter, and Maybach cars.
Yes, the software works. I personally use a more sophisticated Launch scanner and they supplied an adaptor in the diagnostic set. The Launch software works great with my 1998 E430. I have some nice Launch gadgets for my scanner such as battery tester, endoscope and even key programmer. I like my Launch products. Absolutely recommended 👍👍. Greetings from Bavaria.
I did use the iCarsoft MBII for years and have never been really impressed by it. Functions are very limited and it's not interactive. All it can do is reading basic datas and faults. Nothing compared to what suggested by your video. Thanks for the introduction and link. Regarding Aromatic, can it control struts pressure and even deflate them for replacements?

Yes, it works with other makes but you have to purchase them separately...see the end of the video where I show how.
How far back does it go as far as models? Does it cover 1996 models as well?
Yes.
But these cars have no OBD 2 port. They have 36 pin port. So you need multiplex adaptor.

Hi Michel. Yes, although the pressure is not so high to necessitate it. You can just gradually loosen the air connection at the strut to replace it.
Would this be able to disable the tele aid warning on the dash? I got a 2001 s500
