You were the first video that showed me how to print and cut as well as remove background in a way I could understand. Thank you so much for making it simple.

I think it's a shame that Cricut is charging to use this one click feature.

Do I have to subscribe to cricut in order to use background removal?

Yes, that feature is only available with Cricut Access.

Is there a site or program I can edit images other than cricut? Mine tends to lag and basically deletes the work I did or messes up the file and I have to start over.. I dont pay for it so not sure if that is why it lags?

Mine won't give me an option between simple, complex, ect :( It did ONCE before but now I won't and I can't figure out why. I am so frustrated, but I love your videos :)

For the snowman picture with the manual selection, select simple instead of complex and it should remove the green in one click :) Thank you for this awesome video though! I've been trying to figure out how to get the little itty bitty parts clicked out without it doing on pixel at a time.... I think the color tolerance and reduction you showed may solve this problem! I've noticed for some reason though that when I view cut image while manually erasing the background, it erases my selections each time I preview, making me redo it all again >.< Grrr

Hi, thanks for this. It's great that you spent the time to do this tutorial.
After viewing loads of tutorials about back ground removal, you are the only one that has mentioned having to have Access! Is there no other way to get rid of the background?
I'd like to cut fabric. I've tried to set up without Access but the process doesn't work well without background removal.
If I opted to take advantage of 30 day free trial, will projects, saved, still have background removed after the trial has ended?
    Thanks
    Christine

Hey, I'm not sure if you've already solved the problem or not, but I know a way to get a transparent background
There's a free editing software called gimp. You can open your image on gimp, add an alpha channel, and then use the color selector tool to select the background color and delete it. Then all you have to do is export the image as a png, NOT A JPEG. That should save your image with a transparent background. From there you should be able to import the edited image in cricut design space and it shouldn't have a background.
Don't know if this will help you but hopefully it helps someone in this comment section
