I use vinyl paper and go to the copy store and use their laser color printer, but then the snag of cutting out the sticker emerges and was on the verge of buying a Cricut, but every turtorial I saw was how to make a design using all these different colored vinyls which was not helpful as I wanted a multi- layered image, not a bunch of separate vectored images, to be able to cut out and not make something from scratch. Thank you! I was looking at the Cricuts on sale for Amazon Prime Day, but was not too interested in cutting vinyl. I wanted to know how to do stuff like this, and if it could.
Yay...discovered this info last night and it worked so perfectly! Thank you again for sharing. Now I've learned another new technique on my cricut! And...my printer is pretty good so i don't need to buy a new one right now. Win win. You're the best. I'm going to follow you on IG! Thanks!
@@lucyalgood sorry, just reading this (month ago :(... wifi is needed and when you have the image on your Cricut, it will have an option or you can click the option in the Cricut Space Design, by clicking on the box in the upper left corner BASIC CUT...there's an arrow, click on that and it will give you an option that says "Print then Cut". Select that and then your Cricut will guide you. You MIGHT need to calibrate your Cricut to your printer...it typically tells you if you need to do so. Hope this is helpful. Good luck!
Yes you can! But you need to change the name of the matrial that you want to cut, it is no longer a cardstock...either you add that by your self (and you can add any material and adjust the fast of cutting and give it a name, so you will find it when you search for material names) or maybe Cricut made some updates and add it to the list.
Yes, I concur that you did a fantastic job of explaining the print and cut. But I do have a few questions, 1st one is, do you have to calibrate the machine every time? The second is can you tape down your printer weight paper to some card stock to cut both out at the same time?
Great questions. I recommend calibrating your machine if you have not done it in a while or if Cricut has done a new update. You don’t need to do it every time. I have never tried what you are asking but I suppose it would work if you found the right pressure setting. The other thing you can do if your just looking to make your paper stronger by adding cardstock to the back is to duplicate your image on the canvas - have one set as a print then cut and the other as a basic cut. Then you can cut then out separately and attach them together after. I hope that makes sense. Happy crafting.
@littlecraftnest Thanks for commenting on this. I will try and calibrate the machine again, I received an error message. I did try the cut alone but my printed copy was bigger than the cardstock cuttings 😔 Will try something else, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. I have two different videos on that using different material. Inkjet transfer paper: th-cam.com/video/QPTr-FyHglc/w-d-xo.html Easy Color DTV: th-cam.com/video/XTu1lqJDHic/w-d-xo.html
Thanks so much for that! I’m new to Cricut and I need to cut and print multiple waterproof labels. Is there an easy way to do the same design multiple times on the same paper?
Yes you can! Once you press “make” you can then make multiple copies of your image at the top left of the screen. Here is a sticker video that may be helpful th-cam.com/video/yTzPxnA4jQs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ts3V6lioTMbUxA9_ and here is my sticker playlist with many sticker videos th-cam.com/play/PLPIwi88Dy-Oz4AY7phRD4ZN1Dfnj6SwOM.html&si=4sb3jV23IvKlYb_j
To do this you will need to create an offset. You will then need to flatten your offset to your image. Here are some videos that may help. I’m currently working on a new sticker video which will help with this as well, that will be posted next week. Offset tips and tricks: th-cam.com/video/ODXVbx6lCxg/w-d-xo.html Easy Peel Stickers: th-cam.com/video/KMKfTm5xGMg/w-d-xo.html Updated Print then cut video: th-cam.com/video/z2XfelG1OuU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for this video after much searching I came across this video which was a tremendous help. I do have a question tho. Can this same thing be applied when working with sublimation? I only have a sublimation printer and when pressing the mirrored image onto this dry erase poster sheets it cannot detect the image I’m assuming because of this. I don’t have a standard printer just curious if there is a work around for sublimation. Thank you in advance for any assistance 😊
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes you can use it with sublimation but you will have to print through Design Space. Make sure your image has only been mirrored once. ex. Make sure your printer is not set up to automatically mirror because if you then mirror in design space it will cancel out your original mirror. So turn off your printers auto mirror setting and only mirror after you go to “make” in Design Space. I hope that makes sense. Also here is a more updated Print then cut video if you’re interested th-cam.com/video/z2XfelG1OuU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TtG9Ovlhwgiy_Dg5
Thank you, love this video! If you were to make a sticker with a name (non-cursive), how do you get a print then cut with a white border around the entire name and not just cutting out the letters?
I’m glad you enjoyed it. You can create an offset around your entire image and then flatten together. You would need to first print your image through design space so your page has the registration marks on it. Your Cricut will not know where to cut without them.
I thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I have a question about the background. Do you always need to remove the background on the print n cut option?
You’re welcome. You can keep the background if you want the background printed out. Example, if you have a square photo with a background, you can keep it and your Cricut will cut around the square - not the subject. If you want your Cricut to cut around the subject you will have to remove the background. Hope that helps.

You’re welcome! Also a separate note; if you want your machine to cut around everything, and not every individual piece, select all layers together and click ‘flatten”. Happy crafting!
Hello. Thank you for the video but I’m still having trouble. My image is only one layer but my Cricut is still cutting out each piece instead of only around the edges. What am I doing wrong?
I agree with all comments. Thank you so much

Thank you so much I didn't know how
You’re welcome!
Thank you! I was looking at the Cricuts on sale for Amazon Prime Day, but was not too interested in cutting vinyl. I wanted to know how to do stuff like this, and if it could.
Feel free to browse through my videos to see the many things it can make.
Yay...discovered this info last night and it worked so perfectly! Thank you again for sharing. Now I've learned another new technique on my cricut! And...my printer is pretty good so i don't need to buy a new one right now. Win win. You're the best. I'm going to follow you on IG! Thanks!
How do you send the info from your cricut to your printer?wifi? Thanks so much!
Good luck!
Thank you !! I understand how to do it 😊. Now I’m going to give it a try ❤
Awesome!
This is the best video I’ve seen! Thank you, thank you.
You are so welcome! Happy Crafting!
Just starting, thank you!
You’re welcome!
Can you laminate the paper after printing, then cut?
I did try the cut alone but my printed copy was bigger than the cardstock cuttings 😔
Will try something else, thanks.
@dustyacres you’re welcome, if you’re still having trouble with calibrating give Cricut support a call
BEST VIDEO EVER. I JUST SUBSCRIBED!!
Thank you!
Followed along with you on my Cricut and it was sooo simple, thank you thank you thank you!!
Your welcome! I’m glad it was so easy to follow!
This was a great tutorial it helped me a lot. That being said, not using to between going and do is super distracting
This was so great! Thank you 😊 I do have 1 question, how do I apply an image to a shirt using this and a heat press machine?
Glad you enjoyed it. I have two different videos on that using different material.

Thanks so much for that! I’m new to Cricut and I need to cut and print multiple waterproof labels. Is there an easy way to do the same design multiple times on the same paper?
Yes you can! Once you press “make” you can then make multiple copies of your image at the top left of the screen. Great video! Can you show us how to leave a little 1/2 inch border around the cutout?
To do this you will need to create an offset. You will then need to flatten your offset to your image. Here are some videos that may help. I’m currently working on a new sticker video which will help with this as well, that will be posted next week.

You’ve been such an amazing help I can’t thank you enough!!!

The way you explained everything was on point ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you, love this video! If you were to make a sticker with a name (non-cursive), how do you get a print then cut with a white border around the entire name and not just cutting out the letters?
I’m glad you enjoyed it. You can create an offset around your entire image and then flatten together. Here is my most updated Print then Cut video: th-cam.com/video/z2XfelG1OuU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gX357Ce03HTRrH6h

Can you cut out your own images that are already printed without going through the print and cut. Just cutting. Thank you
You would need to first print your image through design space so your page has the registration marks on it.
Very informative and to the point thank you for the pointers and and description of what you did.
Glad you enjoyed it.
