thanks for this, I been using automated stop loss with mixed results from m exchange, b the time I hit the order the price changed and the stop trail is different, I think I'll prefer to use MANUAL trailing behind an EMA would be more dynamic.

@@DrivenA111 I used to use ATR as a measure for automatic trailing stops, but now I use pivot lows in an uptrend, and pivot highs in a downtrend, on the 1hr time frame and shift it manually. Every time a new pivot low/high is completely formed with closed volume, I manually move my stop.
it doesn't keep you in the trade longer, it actually increases the chance that you get stopped out. but that's okay, assuming your trailing stop has passed breakeven, at least you don't lose anything :)
