FYI: I lost my wheel lock key and I still have my package. You can find the wheel lock number by looking at the last two digits of the key code. It's on a little card in the package. The dealership wouldn't tell me that and tried to say it's some special way to read the full code. It just so happened that my wheel lock number is the same as yours 56 LOL!
Hi @trevorelgram846 I did notice a few spline types on Ebay for BMW. I "think" the same principle applies where if you find the right Ebay seller who sepcialises in it, you can send a photo of your locking bolt and they will match the key. Hope that is the case for you! Thanks, Phil
Hi @shelbyhaiketic4212 your question disappeared but I found you! Here is the Ebay seller that I used that you can send the picture to! www.ebay.co.uk/str/coolcamper Thanks, Phil
Sorry to hear, I suspect a tyre shop has driven it on with an impact gun. Unfortunately, you may have to find a good shop that will remove it for you, they usually have wheel nut removal tools but it will destroy the wheel bolt. Cheers, Phil
Thanks! I've used the trick a couple of times now because I buy salvage cars to fix up and the locking wheel nut key is almost always missing! Cheers, Phil
Hi, The FORD ones are a little bit more tricky and you won't be able to just follow the process as shown in the video but I found this guide on a website that will hopefully help you! www.lockingwheelnutkeys.co.uk/single-post/how-do-i-find-my-ford-locking-wheel-nut-code Thanks, Phil
Hi, I’ve used these guys a few times now with great results. Hope that helps! They are called VW_Base www.ebay.co.uk/str/cool-camper?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=jPltS6IkSbC&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=FOD6sVeZQre&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY thanks, Phil
No, I’m sorry, I wouldn’t be able to identify it but if you go on EBay and find the seller: VWBASE you can contact them and send the picture. They will identify the key for you and you can but it from them for next day delivery. Hope that helps! Thanks, Phil
Yes that's true but if you are unsure, some of the replacement key suppliers on Ebay will identify it for you, you just sent them a good picture on an ebay question and they will ID it and supply it. Cheers, Phil
Please elaborate @edgypilot I buy crash damaged cars to repair and they almost never come with the locking key. Hence, I have personally done exactly what is shown in this video at least 6 times to obtain a replacement key with 100% success. Cheers, Phil
Well it’s kind of click bait to be honest. No disrespect to your work. If you click a video about best solution, you expect to see some solutions, other than ordering the part from amazon or ebay. Off course everyone knows how to order a replacement part.
@@edgypilot Ok, thanks for your replay, I can see why you might feel that way but I genuinely feel like this is the best solution because it is fast and inexpensive and I could be wrong but I think a lot of people don't know that you can get a replacement key (I know I didn't and main dealers can be really unhelpful, they want to sell you a whole new set), especially if they don't have the code, which says which type / style it is etc. Cheers, Phil

No probs at all! It's worked for me few times now 👍

You’re welcome, was hoping it would help some others out there 👍
On my third eBay wheel nut key. All of them broke before being able to remove the bolt.

I've had a different problem, gorilla's at some point used impact driver set too high, over torqued and shredded key! Beware of this
This happens a lot! Proper tyre shops shouldn't use impact guns to tighten the wheel nuts!
Pure genius - thank you!
Thanks! I've used the trick a couple of times now because I buy salvage cars to fix up and the locking wheel nut key is almost always missing! Cheers, Phil
Anyone seeing Frank Gallagher? 😂
