I got the same set and tried it out on my Honda civic. The Civic has a rotating collar and I removed this collar before trying the tool. The problem is that the nut is made of softer material than the tool and when you apply big pressure it twists off because the nut is so soft.😞

Did you soak it in penetrating lube the night before? (not wd40; something like more pb blaster)
Success!! After watching other TH-cam videos with people using the same tool I discovered that the tool was twisting off the nut. It was doing this because it was not staying straight on the nut. A brilliant tip I discovered for when this happens is to support the tool by placing your Jack underneath. This keeps it straight on the nut and when force is applied it prevents the tool from coming off its axis. I tried this and it worked a treat.
