Thank you for this comparison! I had the 12 pro max specifically for the good camera. Now thinking I want to go to the mini for the size but was worried about the camera. 12 pro max was excellent so glad to see the mini will be as well!
13 mini camera is awesome. I used the 12 PM and it’s big and bulky. Camera is nice. But the mini is just so nice to use. Try you get 14 days from carrriers to try it. You won’t be disappointed
It’s almost identical in my eyes. Although the 13 mini might look better due to the A15 Bionic and improved image processing, Smart HDR 4. They still both have the same sensor. The 13 mini uses the same sensor on the wide and ultra wide as the 12 Pro Max. It uses the same 1.7 micron pixels size as the 12 Pro Max on the wide lens and has the same Sensor Shift OIS. The only slight difference might be in the ultra wide, although it’s the exact same sensor, Apple says it reveals the darker areas more on the 13 mini/regular 13.
@@GeekyStuff I wasn’t expecting this from Apple, they really put the same camera setup of their 2020 1100$ Flagahip into the 700$ “Entry” level phone. Of course with the exception of the 2.5x Zoom and LiDar but the main two sensors are enough for me

did you change the exposure settings on the 13 at 7:40? I ve seen another comparison in which the 12 was overexposed and the 13 underexposed. So am not really sure now whether it has to do with the settings or the color science is just random on both ! anyone has any clue ?
For the rear camera, the biggest difference is how they handle skies. This difference was also shown in the sparkly snow mountain thing in the store. I'm not sure how to explain it whether the 12 pro Max has more contrast or something. But there's a difference here. Can someone elaborate on this? The front-facing camera is clearly drastically different. The 13 seem to blow out colors with witer face and a witer sky.
@@stubsrek9027 I just went from 12 pro max to 13 mini and it's incredible. The 13 mini is so much lighter and easier to handle. I was always fumbling the 12 pro max but the 13 mini fits my hand perfectly. Since the battery is smaller in the 13 mini the battery life is shorter but it also charges quickly. For me I mostly use my phone for texting, email, music, youtube, social media, looking things up while I'm out, and light reading, and I feel the 13 mini is perfect for that. The only reason I'd advise against it is if you really need max battery (personally I'd just get a battery pack if that was an issue for me), if you play games on your phone, or if you're serious about creating photo/video content (I'd probably go 13 pro in that case).

It’s because he was in cinematic mode… not sure why he did that. It goes 30 fps on cinematic, meaning the 13 would have looked better if he had the normal camera and not cinematic
I am getting used to it now! Actually really enjoyed using the iPhone 13 Mini. Once I got all my Google accounts on there and active, it's a good experience! Not very nice when plugging into a PC and transferring pictures and videos!

@@masonstewart9535 Yea. See if you could loan one somehow. I think you'd really like it! Bit you have to make sure you add your Google account in contacts and then change some settings in the photos settings to allow easier transfer of photos and videos. Plenty of information on Google 🙂👍

I would go for the mini if you don't mind not having telephoto lens. Also depends on your budget and how big your hands are lol! The 12 Pro Max is huge!!!

I have the iPhone 13 pro max in white 128gb and did an unboxing video on my channel! Absolutely love this phone. I also did a Spigen clear glitter case unboxing and try on, this is a great case if anyone is wanting a clear but slimming case for the 13 pro max. Awesome phone [:

I have S22Ultra (Galaxy), and my camera is no less that my kids' Iphones (13, and 13mini)... But I in future my migrate to Apple as well..why? not for the camera, but for overall 'paying attention to details' when gets to hardware rather than 'bells and whistles' which are rather gimmicks than needed on Androids.

Take a pic of something from about 5" away with the 13 mini then do the same with literally any other iPhone and you’ll see that at this range the 13 is trash. My old iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 11, and my wife’s iPhone 12 take great pics at this a distance and even closer. But the 13 mini is just trash.
