Great comparison!
They are so close it’s going to come down to the skill of the photographer, more so than the phones themselves. Also don’t forget that shooting in RAW (not ProRAW) will yield better results than with stock JPEG/HEIC.

Besides night time photos I didn't notice much difference when I went to the 13 pro max from the 12 pro max. Can't wait to see what the pixel 6 pro is bringing, it's gonna beat everyone on the camera once again

@@losmonster2079 hello im having the same problem as well. but i have decided to buy a new iPhone 13 instead of a used iPhone 12 pm just because i don't see myself using the telephoto that's just my reference and the iPhone 13 has a newer chip so it should last a year or 2 longer than the 12 pm. keep in mind that the iPhone 13 has 4gb ram and the iPhone 12 pm has 6gb ram but it doesn't bother me 👍🏽

The camera upgrades are so small. I think Apple hit the point where they can’t do much more to a 12 MP camera. The iPhone 14s 48 MP CAMERA has to be phenomenal.
And zoom 20x as samsung galaxy ….
I have the 14 and the camera is still honestly a slight improvement still 🤷

I got the regular iPhone 13. Quite an upgrade from my iPhone 7
Well 12 Pro and 13 look almost always the same with the 12 Pro sometimes looking too bright and the 13 way too oversaturated. So slight preference for the 12 Pro here.
13 Pro is actually better than the other two but for daylight photos not worth the extra bucks. So only seems to make sense if you do a lot of nighttime photography.

I still prefer my iPhone 13. All looks the same but the iPhone 13 takes better picture than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I find that iPhone 13 takes more natural color picture and more vibrant. I made a good decision for getting the iPhone 13 rather than the 12. I’m going to keep my iPhone 13 until iPhone 15 to be released

I got the 13 yesterday but the front camera quality is trash, nothing like hers. It's even worse than my previous phone. Any tips?
I still prefer my iPhone 12 Pro. No difference to me in my opinion it still takes good quality photos I find that the 12 pro takes nicer more natural photos and 13 pro photos are more sharper. I will be keeping my iPhone 12 Pro for a long time. Until I can see a drastic change difference in the upcoming iPhones. Until then I am good 👍

The dynamic range all the iPhones give in default camera video is amazing. I have a question, though. Can the iPhone give same dynamic range as what the human eye can see in low light or in extremely High dynamic range situations?

Both the 12 pro max and the iPhone 13 have a 1/1.9”(35.2 square millimeters). Only the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a bigger primary sensor with 1/1.65” (44 square millimeters). You made a small mistake there. 😅
It would be more interessnt to do a 12 pro vs 13 pro, because the 12 pro max and 13 have almost the same lens and no one would swich from a 12 pro max to a normal 13 !
But if u don't have any of them should you go for a used 12 pro max or a new 13?

I dont want to be a conspiracy theorist, but Irina are you able to compare photos you took with the 12 Pro Max in Nov 2020 with the ones you've just taken in October 2021 and put these alongside the 13 Pro Max as a threeway comparison?

Can't decide between 13 or 13 pro.
I don't usually care about zooming for far away but the fact that it captures more detail is nice but at the same time I don't really take close up images of things so I don't necessarily care that much. Hard to decide honestly if you ask me lol.
Also I just don't use portrait mode so I definitely never need that

between 12 pro max and 13 go for 13 however i recommend u to take 13 pro if u wish to have more better experience
I cannot say about you but I would have gone for 12 pro max
it depends on your needs , if want bigger battery with faster processing and smaller screen and notch you've to go with 13 , if want large screen and better portrait mode you've to go with 12 pro max but i think 13 is more better especially it has cinematic mode which means portrait mode in video
