0:34 he goes wide, clips the grass, the rear steps out on him and the wheels spin and he catches it to go on to set the lap record, pretty insane

I have watched many on boards of cars but this is the only one that made me have a massive grin on my face after the lapped ended. I was astonished on how quick this lap was and how smooth it was. It is and always will be my favourite on board lap
Did you see him start the Bathurst 12 last weekend? He had food poisoning or something, trying not to vomit when he hit a kerb. He was the only car to overtake someone in the first stint.
It has got so much grip in the corners that you can feel G forces by just watching the video.

Eingeblendete Geschwindigkeit wäre noch sehr interessant gewesen. Wahnsinn, allein Flugplatz, Schwedenkreuz, Mutkurve. Jedes km/h mitgenommen. Wann bremst er den bitte Eingangs Karussel, kurz vor Ende des rechten Curbs? What? Zweites Karussel wirft er Grello einfach so rein :D. An allen anderen Stellen sieht es einfach überall gefühlt etwas schneller aus. Unglaublich! Die Reifen sind wohl auch besser geworden, da die zweite Runde die schnellere war?
Erste Runde ist er bei Ex-Mühle rausgerutscht und leicht eingeschlagen. Die Runde wäre sonst vermutlich noch schneller gewesen. In der 2. Runde lassen die Reifen schon ein wenig nach.
T&K Performance du kannst mit dem porsche ein kleinen tacken später bremsen klingt komisch ist aber so also wunder dich nicht das er an manchen Stellen so spät gebremst hat

He leaves the GP-Strecke / enters Nordschleife at 1:55 and passes the final corner of Nordschleife at 8:23. If you add some time for braking and turning, I think pure Nordschleife time would be 6:35 at most. That's some 10 seconds faster than e.g. McLaren P1 (which has twice the horsepower).
WTF are you talking about dude? The P1 did a 7:59, thats not exactly a good car since it got spanked by the much heavier and less powerfull 918...The one your talking about is a race version of the P1

what is the point to compare to road cars? race car will always be faster than road legal cars on a track. cars like P1 doesn't need all those power, it can't fully handle that much. race car with 400-500 hp is well enough to do sub 7 on north ring.

That feeling when you think you are fast in Assetto Corsa, then some dude beats your ass. In real car :D. Whaaaat? Amazing driver, amazing car. Love that screaming going out from gearbox. But I cannot imagine listening it several hours during race. It has to mess up your head :D

Trust me, there is no simulator can be as real as the real life. I played Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa, and borrowed my friend's 911 stock to drive on a track in my country. Simulation racing game did the best for give me some reference, but there is still a thing or more thing that different in real life that actually happen i don't know how to tell. I thing the simulation racing games should be an hundred gigabyte or more than that, but they still supposed to be a game.

iRacing has better online, but physics (specially the the tires) ar better in AC
If you are not a physics professor or a tyre engineer, then we are not qualified to say anything about those topics.
iR feels shit over the limit, I can say that
Everybody knows the tire model in iRacing is complete shit and you don't have to be a professor in anything to realize that.
The simple fact that tires are basically glued to the track when they are cold tells how dumb their physics programmers and testers are. This means you must do a 40mph outlap so that, get this, you DON'T get your tires up to temperature.
In real life the opposite is true. Tires have less grip when they're cold. You then push really hard on your outlap to get them to temperature where grip is optimal, so that you have the best grip on your second to fourth lap.
Also, WEC champion said that the aero physics in iRacing is shit because rake and wings do almost nothing. Check the video bellow:

kiegerlg thats a lap on the nordschleife only. The lap driven in the Video was a lap of the 24h Version With nordschleife + GP Track

Tobias Ge He knows that, because with GP track he had a time of 08:09:105. He already measured only the Nordschleife itself. 1:55 on Nordschleife, 8:25 on GP Course. (So its more like 6:32 or something.) Looking at the GT3 RS time the street versions are really fast.
Lars St. But still the entry to the GP Course can make a difference in time, so that you can't compare that.
I already added 5 seconds to the time of kiegerlg, and about 2 seconds for the very short "straight", if you can even call that short part that.
However, the GT2 / GT3 RS are really fast anyway. With full race slicks the street versions would gain a few seconds too.

Theoretische Rundenzeit und tatsächliche liegen nirgends so weit auseinander wie auf ner 25km Strecke. Ich denke nicht dass es jemals die absolut perfekte Runde geben wird. Allerdings war diese Runde schon wirklich unglaublich gut!

Yilun Mao turbo charger is the whistle I’m not sure if this has a supercharger too, but that would be the belt whine
Racing transmissions use straight cut gears, hence the whistling is the high pitch sound of the gear selected under load

Dude this is the 24h Layout. So purely nordschleife maybe 6:30 or something with less top speed of course than the street car record. These GT3 have around 500hp.
RSR will probably be slightly faster. Not by much though.

PeeT_Tea but please mention that the Game might not be 100% accurate regarding to the track, the grip or the Power. Its Not a Big deal on a 3.5km track... but the slightest difference will Make a huge effect on a 25km track.
Example: because of less Power in the Game compared to the real car you are 0.1 seconds slower per Kilometer. Means on a 3.5km track: 0.35 seconds. Means on a 25km track: 2.5 seconds.
So youll never know how good is your Time;)

Can someone explain to me whats the difference between 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R? Isn't it the class? The max hp or what? They all looks same except spoiler or wings placement.
If you are talking about the RSR GTE car versus the GT3.R they are different classes, GTE or Endurance have a bit more torque, more downforce and are quicker around a lap, plus the GTE is actually mid engine. The GT3.R is a GT3 spec series, so the same with a bunch of different manufacturers all set to have cars with a similar (500ish) power output, and balance of power.
Car in the video is a GT3 car.
Now that's how we DO IT ..... we need a Vanthoor in F1 to kick some ass....LOL

Bei Ring Police meinten sie mal, dass so ein Motor den die im ADAC GT-Masters fahren von Porsche für 30h Betriebsstunden ausgelegt sei. Da ist so ein 24h Rennen + Quali ja echt schon Limit. Danke dir.

no definitely no for example at spa 911 RSR runs a 2:13.459 the GT3 R can only manage a 2:17.9 they are by average over 3 secs slower per 7 kilometer.
This is due to RSR has more downforce and stickier tires, thus it can stop faster and corner faster.

@@nmm5261 yeah I think so but is not as straight forward as that, The RSR (FIA GTE ) and GT3 R (FIA GT3) the former is much more purpose build and GT3 is derived from road cars, to put things into perspective the cost of a single GTE is more than double of GT3. Feel free to mess your head up even more but reading this reddit post haha (/r/wec/comments/7fzcvq/eli5_the_difference_between_gt3_and_gte/)
Porsche did won 2016 wec gte class with a rear engine car, but they opted to change to mid engine in 2017. I know that changing the engine placement affects everything, such as handling balance, tire wear, ease of setup etc... The best that I can do is guess lol

I am not a fan. But I think Vanthor is probably one of the best GT3 drivers. I remember him on WRX on Blancpain series crushing the competition
6.27 is still way faster than 6.40 with GT2RS MR. i wish to see what is GT2RS on slick tyres is capable of...
