- The most thrilling battle on the Nürburgring Norschleife we have seen in a long time. The two Audi team going head to head for hours during the ADAC TOTAL 24h-Race at the Nürburgring. #4 Audi Sport Team Phoenix with Pierre Kaffer, Frank Stippler, Frederic Vervisch and Dries Vanthoor as their drivers against #29 Audi Sport Team Land with Christopher Mies, Rene Rast, Kelvin van der Linde and Christopher Haase.

This was a fantastic race. Absolutely loved this battle
This part of the race was aired at my gym in the US where not many people know about GT enduro racing outside America but when this was going on. A bunch of people began watching in excitement as these 2 were in contention around the 5-4hr mark

Great :) the Nürburgring race is very cool... Party and race fuel everywhere barbecue smell and red firing brakes and exhaust flying through the darkest forest.

Also absolutely loved the battle between Rast and the Mercedes (think it was a Black Falcon AMG) in the night, there was nearly a whole lap of in-car footage and it was so amazing to watch

Bernd blabla it’s now on my bucket list to bring a few friends and meet a few more at the 24hr race in the near future. Also really love the respect everyone at the race has for the Opel Manta that’s been there every year for the past couple decades!

The greatest race on this planet... I love how all the small teams battle with the big teams from all around the world in this forrest and genius racetrack.
It's good, but to me, it's not Bathurst good. Probably a close second though. I'd consider myself lucky if I ever got the opportunity to ever attend either one of them.
@030227 75466 I've never been to either. I'm sure they both are great and considering the historic racing part of the Ring still being an attraction??? It may top Bathurst on my bucket it list. Both tracks are historic. Germany's more historic, but its the cars at Bathurst that I like. It is the competition that goes on all week long there that I would love. The modern, mixed with the classics and all of them racing equally competitively. I just don't see that spirit in the Ring.

Nothing wrong with Paul Ricard. F1 just isn't fun when those Mercedesses are winning, they pull away and that's it. They need a BoP or penalty weight system, give Hamilton 15kg per win and nr 2 10kg and nr 3 5kg. It is SO simple but nooooo......
After 18 hours the fight is still so close. F1 has a bigger gap between each position after 3 rounds.

Krumpli So much happened after this like the five minute penalty for the 911 Porsche, Maxi Götz flew into the wall, Kelvin Van Der Lind tearing apart the right rear of his Audi, tons of battles, endurance racing doesn’t get more intense than this!
@@JuanPablo-lt3us It was a disappointing moment for the #911 fans when it recieved the 5 minutes penalty, but nonetheless the audi #4 car played it safe and it totally deserves the win. On top of that, the weather was perfect throughout the racing period for this year. No rain during race day. Exciting stuff indeed!
Don't forget that Mercedes that drove the Audi with all 4 wheels onto the grass... Could have gone horribly wrong.. ultimately it did, but we don't know if the tire issue was related.. But I think it was.

Great Video. Thats what its all about. Can anybody tell me what makes the weird noise in the R8s when braking? You could hear it in both car's onboard very well i would say 1 sec after braking point.

The whole race had better action than the current F1 season... Wish this kinda racing has as much publicity as F1
in the late 80s and early 90s endurance racing had almost more publicity than f1, which the fia didn't like and so changed the rules of the great group c and made it "boring" to keep f1 being the more popular racing series.. (not sure if this is true, since there were many other reasons for the rule changes in group c aswell)

A shame I didn't get to see some of these battles within the context of the race. I had to work and couldn't see it, and i'm assuming the people responsible for the you tube replay had some sort of technical difficulty, as the last seven hours have still not been uploaded.

These cars are on the same team but those cars are serviced in the same garages and stored in the same spot in the US for the u.s.
I don't think they are stored in the US, Land and Phoenix mostly race in Germany.

If you don't believe at 7:09 the car is clearly going to the inside and then comes back out to push him outside the track, you have to be blind. No mention of it during the race or here, wut.
The car was in a totally different class, there would be no reason to do that? It's also not that easy to let 2 GT3 cars pass, especially if you only see one for most the time because the other Audi was in the slipstream the whole time.
