How can I tell between Dana 50 and 60? I found a 2001 f250 with a good deal but idk if it’s a 60? Also why is the 2005+ axle better than the older models?
Napa, any parts store just tell them any f250 inner spindle bearing, but not a super duty it's listed as a non serviceable part on a unit bearing, but they are the same bearing in dana 50 or 60 on the older front ends.

I have no need for a 4x4 or the stress of upkeep and maintenance... knock on wood I have no need for a 4x4.. if I do ill call a buddy or rent a rig...etc.. or get a running start at it.. haha.. anyways I'd like 2 leave it as is if I can get away with it... Great video brother. Precise.
Yeah I'm in, doing some homework for a one ton swap myself, thanks for the info
AWESOME videos
Very helpful
Good call on the spindle needle bearing. But all the B-2110 I see online are not caged.
Is there a part 2 to this part 1?
Did you end up replacing the hubs and axle shafts?
Follow up vid?
Is there a part 2 or more?
Is there a kit for the bearings and seals or did you purchase independently?
There is a kit for most of it
Hi i like your video. Part numbers would really help.
I put the numbers in the comments
Part numbers if you could. The dust seal would be great as it seems to be some mysterious part.
I have the numbers in the comments
So if you leave your hubs locked then the caged needle bearing around the axle wouldn't be in use at all correct?
The bearing also keeps load off the knuckle seal, so yes, but it would shorten the seals life
Great stuff! Instagram?
You got a parts list with numbers for seals, bearings, and u joints???
I committed the numbers in the comments

dont need the outer hub seals if your not using the vacuum hubs.
😬 dealing with the same on my 04 60
Full rebuild?
Yeah... $6.00 ball joints do NOT last. Any weight whatsoever in the truck, and they are shot in 6 months. Experience...

Should be fine as long as the hub bearings are fine and don't become contaminated. Would repair properly when possible.
