i make a lil over $100 a day working only 5 hours a day. i pick up 5pm and work maybe until 10pm it's really easy for me because i live near a military base
I think the only issue with that is you lose time especially when you have to still walk back to your car. You get dinged if you are late delivering the order. I understand the need to though and it's unfortunate that people would do that to hard working people. I've heard so many stories delivering orders it's ridiculous to me. Hopefully they can find a way to stop people from doing this.
You're giving nuggets on top of nuggets! I'm not even a gig worker and I'm getting the value of your videos (for future reference). Much appreciated! Love the work ethic. 💯🤝
Christmas spending? Nah.. I ain’t doing that.. lol.. I’m paying off DEBT😂😅 but Dashing is great for whatever you need extra cash for 👏🏾 but what’s the best way to track miles? I’m sure you have a video for that.. LOVE your channel!
Great video. I’ve been dashing since June last year and I’m still learning. Videos like yours are fantastic. Thanks for taking time to help others. I live in a small town of 14,000 people and we are congested with delivery drivers. My closest larger city to dash in is around St. Louis, which is about 1:40 minutes away. This makes dashing less profitable so often.
I'm glad you touched on the reasons why you might take long distance orders. My area is semi-rural so there are lots of long distance offers that take me way out of the zone and I always go through a debate of earn by order so I can decline those if the tip isn't worth it vs earn by time where I get a few pence for the extra time (and sometimes distance pay) those take.
Enjoy the ride alongs and your tips/knowledge that you share each time. Have a question regarding mileage. Will door dash provide previous mileage done earlier in the year? Also does “Stride” app charge? Thanks again and appreciate you.
I don’t have to confirm anything until I have it in my hands and after that they can’t do much. Some crazy manager at McDonalds was trying to get me to confirm before handing me the food and I told her I’m not playing games and she can keep the fkn happy meal. I don’t work for the restaurant. I’m the representative of the customer. They are my client.
your market vs mine is wild. If i do earn by time they be sending me to the boonies, literally 15 min drive back into zone. Maybe i'll give it another go when its light pink though, I like that idea.
The way the video is titled makes it look like you're saying you're going for 1k in 1 day. I'm like yeah right, no fuckin way lol. Maybe one day when the economy is better. That would be amazing.
I'm with you on that too. Another Chicago delivery driver here too. Wicker park. I've only ever hit 1 day getting that $100. All the rest are mostly between $50-$70 range. All same hours. I never do night shifts because I use an escooter and don't want to get hit by a driver. And don't need somebody trying to steal from me either.
@heem9082 ironically though I've been multi apping for about a month now and I would have to say orders come at weird timing. I'll sit there for 20 minutes without any orders from 3 apps and suddenly all 3 send me something Lol. Very inconsistent.
I'm new to DoorDash, I thought DoorDash was keeping up with the miles along with the money made...is that not true? If not, why couldn't they give us our mileage since they show it with the orders? *I enjoyed the ride along and I'm learning a ton! Thank you
is it really worth it to preserve your acceptance rate mine is at 5% and I don't see a difference from now and when I had like prioritized higher paying orders, but that's my experience I don't do it full-time. I do it part-time.
The only thing that irritate me about confirming the order is they can see how much you getting paid, and they damn sure be looking, be double taking looking right at your pay, nawl bro that's not right I'm not peeking into they paycheck
Earn by time is never available in my spot. Is that good or bad? It's pretty busy for the most part. Made 114 in 4 hours tonight. Mightve killed 15 in gas. Took my durango out instead of the motorcycle 🤷
1:41 honest question as I have never done EBT. Why unassign if it’s on EBT? I’ve considered doing EBT recently because of stuff like this where I have to wait 10-20 minutes for an order. That and I have to decline so many orders without tip going 5-15 miles away.
Even though I get paid per minute with EBT, the amount I earn may be less than if I were on a regular order I can complete faster. So unassigning helps me avoid wasting time on orders with a long wait time. Plus with worry free its almost like they feel the same way
I liked earning by the time it used to be on my app and it's no longer there I did everything I call support and am getting different answers.what ever they say to try I did but it's not working.maybe you can help
Why would you unassign on earn by time? You're getting paid per active hour, so it doesn't matter how long the wait is. As a matter of fact, you don't get paid for that wasted time waiting if you cancel. The point of earning by time is to get as many ACTIVE hours as possible, so wait times are actually good for you.
Long story short. If it’s going to reduce my overall hourly I’m ok with letting it go. If I wait I’m only guaranteed $15 a hour but if the next order has a pace of $20/hr I’m winning. I’m going to think of a better example or way to say it but you’re losing money
I started about three weeks ago, and I average a hundred- hundred & fifty a day is that good? I get frustrated with the hourly. I need to understand the best way to make that work to my advantage. I feel like I make less than I do vs. earn per offer.can you do a video on how to make hourly my b!÷@#😂 please and thank you.
