I've had the Pedal Commander on my 2007 Tundra SR5 for a year and I use it 90% of the time - And I absolutely love it! It took me a while to dial it in as to which settings I'll use for which specific driving conditions, but now it's something I almost automatically adjust as driving conditions change. Whether a Pedal Commander will benefit you is a matter of how diligent of a driver you are. Because if you're a yapper, texter, or "driving is just a necessity" kind of motorist, then the Pedal Commander probably isn't for you. For example: In parking lots and situations requiring slow precision driving I turn it off - around town I use City - for average freeway driving I use Sport. Note: Each category allows for 8 sub-settings ranging from minus 4 to plus 4. The most aggressive setting is Sport plus. It is for racing or extreme driving conditions like Salt Lake City at 2 in the morning and the lunatic locals are pushing 80-85 MPH. The Sport Plus setting initiates almost instantaneous and incredibly aggressive acceleration and is not intended to be used in any kind of street driving - you will get whip lash. But if you're the kind of driver that pays attention to everything and everyone, and appreciates having your vehicle behave more precisely and in concert with how you need for it to behave in accordance with changing driving conditions - then The Pedal Commander is for you. It has behaved flawlessly, caused no problems for the PCM, and I had no troubles passing DEQ. BTW: It also has
an economy setting, which I should probably use more, but after experiencing the crisp response on the other settings, it's just painful.
what engine do you have, been debating on getting this for my 5.7. I feel it can be a click more tame off the line. But I also think it would help when towing.
Got one of these on my V8 4Runner, wild the difference in acceleration. And the eco mode has actually helped me increase my mpg from 13-14 to 17-18 city

R/T Life it begs the question; does the pedal commander make it harder to gain traction off the line because of that instant torque?
When I had it on, there was no chance of me having the ability to hook properly. NOTE: A couple of guys at the track said as they continued to increase the aggressiveness on the pedal commander their times would drop a little. But I can't confirm that.

To anyone reading this post, I personally had the pleasure of owning the pedal commander on my Stinger yellow Superbee for almost a year now. Kept it on the (highest setting) Sport ++ mode, (at an 8 level). At that point, you have to exercise extreme caution. Lol! Overall, I love the product! You can change the acceleration anytime, at the power of your fingertips!
It's def a lot of fun having that control - makes your ride feel like it picked up 100+hp with a touch of a button
Just installed one on my 2021 Challenger Scat Pack shaker widebody with the 6 speed. What a massive difference. It's exactly what my car needed.

I have a 2015 DRT that I purchased two years ago with an extended warranty. The two main reasons why I purchased the Pedal Commander: I would rather not void my warranty, and I don't have tons of money to throw at the engine and drivetrain. Is it pricey? Yes! Does it do what it says? Yes! All in all it suits my needs and I love it!
My Pedal Commander is set on city 3, works great at that setting, no lag at all. I'm happy with mine, it works well enough to where I have to be careful that I don't run someone over on the highway! Sport modes are a bit much unless you are at the track.

I have been thinking about getting this for my Ram truck. I think it would help with acceleration when towing our big camper.

No it wouldn't help with towing power. It just gives you more throttle than you're actually pressing down. It's the same as flooring it when just tapping the pedal. If you are towing, just save your money and put your foot down all the way. Literally same difference
I added the Bluetooth Pedal Commander to two of my vehicles yesterday. My 2019 Corvette Z07, and my 2018 Escalade Platinum. Both have the 6.2, but are obviously two different vehicles. The Pedal Commander, too my supercharged Z07 and took it to the next level. IN Sport 3, which was the highest I tried it, you could barely feather the throttle, and until the tires were warm, it was tough hooking up... I dropped it to sport 2, and it was manageable. All I can say is wow... What an amazing difference. Between the Tony Mamo Sports Ported LT4 OEM 87mm Throttle Body, and the Pedal Commander, my car is a real serious beast. The Escalade loved the Pedal Commander as well. City 3 is best, as the vehicle is not set up for more racing/performance modes...
17 year old here, I only have an SXT, but to anyone who is considering it, definitely worth it. Even with a v6, it opens it up so much faster. If you do get one, don’t use the bluetooth function as it will trip CEL. Also don’t use it when you’re moving (obviously)
I had one and loved it!! Leaving work one day it down shifted me into 3rd and wouldn't come out of 3rd so I got rid of it. I would definitely get another if I thought it wouldn't happen again.

Love my pedal commander on top of my bully dog tuner on my 2011 silverado. Haters can say what they will but my real life experience tells me this product WORKS. Makes my truck respond like it has a throttle cable. Makes my truck not have any hesitations on acceleration, it doesn't bog out on hills before. Be smart about the install, DO NOT CHANGE SETTINGS ON THE FLY. And it is worth the money.

They still have non-Bluetooth models for $200. Also there's an APK app that runs the Bluetooth function impeccably. I use it on the T/A and the wife's RAV4.

Bought a pedal booster from overseas and has the same features for much less than the P/C and I said the same thing (Holy shit)! I blew the tires right off! The setting that i had it out the box was the equivalent to sport+ 4 on the p/c. Paid $72 for it, and cant stop smiling everytime i drive my car 😂 (06 Chrysler 300c SRT) btw its because of your reviews that helped me understand that pedal response delay that these drive by wire cars have, thank you

If you're not looking to tune your ride - I think this is really a solid option. The throttle response makes the car feel a lot more powerful.

Just got one for my Audi A4 Quattro, I'm pretty sure that the pedal commander will work with future tunes and mods to my Audi, So for me 300 bucks for this ehh its a bit pricey but if it can put a smile on my face I'm sold on it.

I have the Sprint Booster, very similar to the Pedal Commander, and I love it and rarely drive without it. Does it help in a 0-60 or the 1/4 mile? No proof either way but does make the car fun as heck! I’ve never had any problems with the Sprint Booster. May hurt you gas mileage though 😎. It’s all about smiles per gallon!
Yah they're basically the same - gives the ride a little pep. Def gets people smiling while driving
I probably won’t ever get one but I do wonder how this would mate up with a manual transmission challenger. My thought is it would be really dangerous and prematurely burn out the clutch. Have you ever had anyone ever comment or ask anything about the PC and a manual ?
I have one on my six speed, love it ! You just have to get use to it and adjust to your liking. I have had it well over year and no problems.

@@BurnseysRT 2017 Challenger T/A 5.7L 6-spd. Pedal Commander has been on for two years. I started at Sport -4 and within 3-4 months I only drive her in Sport Plus +4 with the car in factory Sport Mode and the TCS off. Believe it or not when you get used to it turned up all the way you can achieve much better fuel economy too. I haven't reset my Avg. Economy since 11:30 a.m. Aug. 22, 2017 and I left St. Louis at 23,000 mi. and 18.0 mpg. I drove to Long Island and when I got to the traffic in New York I was sitting at 27.2 mpg. I could've done better but I had some fun along the way. In fact with a manual you are pushing less no matter what gear you're in because of the direct connection between the flywheel and clutch, no torque converter scavenging

I'm one of those few that think the $300 is a bit steep for the thing. Seems like a ton of fun but I also don't wanna burn up my tires TOO fast haha

I decided to just put the 300 towards an unlocked pcm and intune tuner for my Ram. Thanks for the info.
I knew absolutely nothing about the pedal commander when I ordered a 9 Drive electronic throttle controller off eBay which is pretty much the exact same thing under a different name and after I installed it my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT which has AWD and it’s turbocharged, I was caught completely off guard and this is what every car that I’ve had needed, my next car is getting a pedal commander or a similar device.

From what I understand the Pedal Commander just lies to your PCM IE If you push the pedal 50% but makes the PCM think it is 100% so you can get the same results just by being more aggressive with the throttle.
I got a pedal commander for my modded EcoBoost Mustang. I definitely like it but i have noticed when it's on eco mode my car is slower than when i didn't have it.. City mode is basically as fast as my car was without... both sport modes are awesome...
I had 2 peddle commanders and I loved everything about the trottle response but on both of my commanders it would present a code on my 18 PP1 mustang. I was always using the aggressive setting and that could have been the problem. I no longer use it but it was alot of fun.☠💀☠
If I had any kind of a code, it would be removed ASAP. Def a fun device but I have heard some running into issues.

I picked up a Diablosport Trinity T1, and I set it @20% on my 07 srt8 Jeep, I was told to add a ground to the TB also, is that common ?

It’s a different animal @20%, shifts are crispier and exhaust gets louder !
When you install it , you have to make sure you hear it click thats it. My bluetooth never failed me yet, plus if you have bluetooth, you cant change the setting while steping on gas

You should get a tuner - get that Hemi on 93 for more power
My friends 08 srt8 didnt benefit from it at all and hes full bolt on ported manifold and tuned he said it was slower it definitely didnt act like it normal does normally it slams u in the seat, a tune would be ur best bet i recommend greene racing hes on Facebook he is an amazing tuner for hemis
keeping it real as usual. You can only say what you have experienced yourself. I may get the cabled one instead on Bluetooth. Bluetooth is not reliable in my experience

I upgraded the intake manifold, the price for aftermarket worked out cheaper then if I got a stock setup.

Hey R/T I’m looking into the pc for my 2014 wk2 with the 5.7l. I heard you mention the difference between the Bluetooth versus the regular one. Do you recommend buying the regular one over the Bluetooth for the reason of the possible check engine light it might throw? I’m still under warranty and I’m looking to have some fun but not have to bring it to the dealership lol thank you for your help and I sub’d great content.
They don't sell the original version anymore (like what I have). You would have to get a used one. I haven't had any issues with it to report back, seems like most with an issue have the bluetooth version. This will certainly pump up the fun factor in your ride!

As a person who sees so many different opinions on the pedal commander, what do you say to the people that claim all you have to do is press down the gas pedal harder to get the same results? It's about half and half online.

If you're not looking to tune, this is a solid option. If you're open to modding/tuning get more HP

I own a RAM 1500 5.7 liter v8 hemi, I am asking does the pedal commander help,with towing travel trailers? Especially through the mountains with steep grades...also I would assume the gas mileage is going to reduce? A second question....what does eco mode do for me?

R/T Life I’ve had to do 2 sensors so far. Every time it happens I have to limp my charger to the dealer. Fortunately under warranty but that just expired for me

Hey bro, I bought the pedal commander and the diablo tuner for my charger, should I install the pedal commander first or after I do the diablo tuning? Or does it even affect it if I do it before or after?
I have this for my 21 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T and since i already have turbo in my car and then I add this bad boy, I feel like I'm on the mile high club, it's insane, expecially when you already have turbo built in from the factory, which gives it more of a push VS a car that isn't turbo. I accidentally left it on sport+ and my mom pulled the car out of a parking spot, luckily she didn't hit anything but she freaked out and almost shitted herself lol, she hit the gas half way.🤦♂️🤣
@R/T Life - I know that Pedal Commander won't increase power or torque. With the increase in throttle response, did you notice a difference in your 0-60 times when the delay was eliminated?
Based on what you said at 2:35 and the paragraph you have on screen, I've heard conflicting info. I've seen other videos where the reviewer measured the throttle body opening and said the Pedal Commander increased the opening for the same pedal application, basically so that the throttle is giving you 60% when you give the pedal 40% (for example).
It sounds like you're saying this is not the case. Your description sounds like if you press the pedal 40%, the throttle still opens the same 40%, but it does it faster/in less time. Is that correct?
Also, does the Sprintbooster do the same thing? How does it compare to Pedal Commander in your opinion, and do you prefer one over the other?

Any concerns when applied to a manual trans car? I have a 2015 Regal GS, manual trans, with a Trifecta tune.
Do you have to turn it on every time you start the vehicle, have watched a few videos, no one has made mention of this or once it's in and you pick a setting will it be on that the next time you start the vehicle.
No - you put it on a setting & it stays on until you change or shut it off.
My R/T doesn't have sports mode or any of the control page that are similar to SRT pages. Do devices like The Tazer work?
if you get the tazer it will give you performance screens behind the steering wheel
Have you had any issues combining this with a custom tune? I'm getting a throttle controller that's similar(for a Mustang), but the tuners say it's not recommended. I've seen videos where people have them combined with a tune, so not sure...
Nope - I personally haven't had any issues combing this with the custom tunes, tazer etc.
@@RTLife Awesome! I'm guessing the tuners will just advise that as a precautionary measure, but that's it. The tuner supplier mentioned that they can do something similar with the throttle response, but not sure they'll be able to give you that immediate response like the throttle controllers do 🤔
@@RTLife Just got it in today with no issues. Big difference for sure. At higher speeds, do you still get instant response? I still seem to get very little lag at higher speeds when at wide open throttle. This is at the max level, and with a custom tune. Mine isn't a pedal commander, but I would think it would do the same thing.
RT life i had my peddle commander about 6 months now. My check engine light came on an code reading throttle response sensor low voltage. You think peddle commander is the reason?

Friend tried a pedal comander thing thts supposedly better than the pedal commander and he said its slower but that was on his 08 srt8 i told him its cause ur trans is slower than these newer mopars i unfortunately couldnt try it on my 5.0 but i bet it would work great

Do I need to get my car tuned with the PC in use? I had my Srt8 tuned with HP tuners without my PC installed. Now that installed my PC on settings Sport 2 when I’m driving 60 mph and I decide to punch it I get my CLE Code P2138. So I really don’t punch it around 60 mph 😒. Do you recommend I get it retuned while the PC is connected?!?!?!?
Throttle response is an issue I've had, that damn mds has me lagging as well, embarrassing lags too. A bit of a downer about it, but I think I'd probably still get it cuz this is my daily driver for now.

So u will become quicker..but no power added jus unleashing the potential your engine has ...cool..maybe u shoulda done a petal commander vid on the 1/4 mile with and without the petal commander ....can u hook up your tuner with the commander in place???
You have to have your foot off the gas when you change settings....I had the same problem until I went ahead and reread the instructions.

I thought u said in a previous video that it was a bad idea , your engine light could possibly turn on ?
I made a video a while back addressing a check engine light that some are getting because of this device. I personally haven't had the issue.
It throws codes in my 2016 scatpack charger and then my car loses power and I can only go 30. I love it when it works but it's done it for the 10th time

Can you move Pedal Commanders between different cars? It sounds like you used the same one on the Doge as the Jeep.
