    I’ve been running a Pedal Commander in my JK for 2+ years now and have also been really happy with it. I run in ECO -4 when off road (paired with a crawl tune from Superchips) and it allows for super smooth throttle control. On road I use CITY +2 when the roads are flat and CITY +0 on hills (to control gear hunting). I love the Bluetooth feature, because I have mine tucked under the steering column where I can’t see it, but can still adjust it on the fly using my phone.

    Glad to run across this video I was wondering about the fuel and if it was worth the investment

    I have a 2011 JKU with the 3.8 engine and a 2021 Gladiator rubicon. I need the pedal commander for the JKU. It’s a damn three legged turtle. The gladiator feels like a mustang GT compared to the JKU.

    With my 2015 WK2, I have used this for over a year now and around 30,000kms and have tracked all my progress. I have the same commute of mixed highway and city driving. I use city -2 and with my commute i gained about 2mpg on average. If i run it in eco 0 - +2 i have seen as much as 3 to 4 mpg.
    Great product! really made the 3.6 much more enjoyable to drive.
    Strongly reccomended
    And download the bluetooth app because its awesome and easy to use!
    Also, i do the adaptive throttle body reset every oil change to truly keep these things happy and enjoyable to drive!

    I just ordered one for my jk after 6 years of owning it. Hopefully this helps with the drag.

    I, too, got the Pedal,Commander after watching Brad's first video on this gizmo. Throttle response is dramatically improved but at the expense of mpg. My V6 used to get about 20 mpg, now I get around 17 in city mode +3. In eco mode +3, off-road, I have also lost about three mpg.
    But if you care about mpg don't buy it; however your throttle control improves dramatically.

    Really this seems like a limited version of the WK2 select terrain. If you understand how that works I imagine you can make one of these things super useful.

    Brad, thanks for the review. Would appreciate your thoughts on installing this in the WK2, and how this is different than, say, turning off Eco, going into Sport mode? Is it/ would it be just..redundant?
    Also, you talk about losing mpg. I'll mention maybe adding a cold air intake. I added a K&N on our V6, and it helped with mpg and noticeable pep..a few extra hp. Maybe the two products together would compliment each other, and offset the loss of fuel economy?

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure on the cold air intake, Perhaps I'd be happy to install it once you send it out. :) As far as the PC goes, It's similar for sure but instead of 2 modes you can basically make it what ever you want. Lots more adjustability.

    I have a Jeep warranty package on my 2018 limited. As long as it does not void the warranty I am happy to buy this. Can you please give more clarity on this please

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From pedal commander: The Pedal Commander is a certified product that doesn’t void your vehicle warranty and does not interfere with your vehicle ECU, while others may flag your ECU and void your vehicle warranty.

    • @jeepgreatstories
      @jeepgreatstories ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has a piggy back plug that plugs between your throttle pedal and main harness, no affect or programming to the ECU whatsoever. If you were to unplug it, the dealership would never know you had one.

    Hey Brad hope is well. I enjoyed the vid but I can't find hardly any information where someone actually videos this thing on an obstacle. Slick trail? How I can use it to hop over a big rock and have better throttle control? All I seem to find is peeps talking about the street. Why a Jeep then? MPG is not one of the letters in Jeep, well almost. I could care less about 1 mpg for 300 bucks. I want to be able to push on the throttle and smoothly cover a sketchy spot. Will it do it? Lets see a vid with it off and then on. Same obstacle.... if you can. I like the sound of this thing.
    Cheers...

    • @jeepgreatstories
      @jeepgreatstories ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure how easy it will be to show on an obstacle unless you go from Sport+ +4 to ECO -4, but it might be easier to explain. What the unit does is adjusts how much the travel of the pedal affects the throttle. So in Sport+ +4 it might take 1/4” of throttle movement to accomplish the same amount of throttle input as 2” of throttle movement in ECO -4. So the settings are just making your throttle more or less sensitive depending on the setting.
