Thank you very much really really appreciate that......if you go to a shop to have that done they would probably charge you about $200 dollars or more to do that 15 min job
The item linked in the description is not the same product in this video. Just a heads up. It got me when I ordered it. Crux makes the glovebox style adapter now. Its part number crux bts-gm1x
@@streetriderscustoms You have a lot of informative detailed information on this generation of Yukons and Escalades. I’m glad I found your channel. Question for you, there is a USB port in the center console of my Escalade that can play music from a phone or even a flash drive. Mine isn’t working. Do you have any suggestions on repairing the issue?
This would work according to their website in your Traverse but it is out of stock everywhere. I installed a different brand bluetooth module in my Escalade that also fits your Traverse that you can buy from amazon here: amzn.to/3yq1slm
Great job! I believe this will work for my 2008 GMC Acadia base model with XM. Question: does the phone call interrupt the radio when it comes in, or do you have to have it in XM mode to receive and make calls? Do the phone call number display on the radio? I have the DOS type version of the standard radio in my Acadia.
I am pretty sure it will work for the Acadia, but online I think you can double check to make sure. I am pretty sure the phone call will come in no matter what mode you have the radio in. I am not sure about the number display on the Acadia radio.
I just purchased 07 Escalade the heated steering wheel is not working the light turns on but immediately turns off, do you have any ideas why this is happening. I enjoyed this video did you post Escalade video on adding Bluetooth. Thanks for any info
there is an inline fuse for the steering wheel on the harness that runs down the column, but if that was out, then Im guessing the light wouldnt even light up
Thanks for ur video. I have a 2009 Cadilac Escalade n I don't have the auxiliary port. How can do it on mine? I bought a wireless receiver on Amazon but I use some cables to be able to use it. But it plugs on the back of the center console. I don't like the cables hanging on the back. My daughter already broke one of the cords. I need help pls. What should I do?
Well if you go to the description of my video and click the link and buy this from Amazon then you can install it behind your glove box just like I did and will be able to have Bluetooth streaming. Assuming your Escalade has the XM module.
It might be unavailable because you do not have a subscription to it. You can follow my video on how to open the glove box and find the XM module. If you can do that then you can go to the link in the description, buy this part, hook it up like I do in the video and you should be all set
@@streetriderscustoms I have Amazon Prime. But the item says currently unavailable n they don't know when they are gonna get it again. I went into the main website USA SPEC n it cost $261.95 n on Wal-Mart is sold out.
There are some models like my Escalade that has Bluetooth phone connectivity but not music streaming. I think that changed in 2014 but I could be wrong
Hi! I am a little confused. Do you recommend thís module for a 2007-2014 Escalade, or the BTGM-33 that you install in your other video? Or are both possible? Greetings from Amsterdam, The Netherlands 🇳🇱
Both are possible and do the same thing. I made this video but then right after the modules went out of stock! So I made the newer video with that module so people could still install something in their cars.
I have swapped it out into my 2010 escalade for road trips and it worked perfectly. Because it has the navigation radio the dip switches need to be in different positions than the Tahoe
I have a 2011 Chevrolet silverado, I want to install this part but I am worried I wont be able to use my existing bluetooth for calling. Do you know of I will still be able to use my existing Bluetooth for calling after installing this?
I believe that when you install this and have your phone connected to it for Bluetooth, if anyone calls your phone it will go through the module and not the trucks Bluetooth. Because you can't have 2 Bluetooth connections at once you'll have to pick one or the other. The Tahoe I installed it in does not have factory Bluetooth calling so I can not check on that for you though
@@streetriderscustoms Thank you for the reply! Let me know after you install it on the 2010. I'm guessing you have Bluetooth on that one and might run into this same problem.
The problem is that your phone can only have one Bluetooth connection at a time. If you have your phone connected to the Bluetooth module and are playing music, any calls will go through that. You would have to turn off the blue tooth connection to the module, stop playing music, then connect with your OEM radio of you wanted to use that for phone calls.
Skip bro? Fast forward bro? Let me explain this so you'll understand bro, grab the little circle thing bro, and slide it down the straight line thing bro. Or, bro, you can touch the thing that looks like an arrow it has a name for a shape or something but I don't think you'd understand that so you can push these buttons they do different things let's be real bro, this is way too long for you bro. I didn't get to the point fast enough bro, and there is no buttons to fast forward. Bro.
Thank you very much really really appreciate that......if you go to a shop to have that done they would probably charge you about $200 dollars or more to do that 15 min job
Exactly, I'm just trying to help show people how it's easily done!
How about a demo video? I would like to see how you hook up your phone, play music and take a call.
I was thinking about doing that but because if the different phones and different radios I wasn't sure it would help others who have different setups.
Make one please
Would highly be helpful

Is the part you listed the one we want for a 2008 Yukon? I noticed too it did not match. Now I'm confused.
Great how to video, thank you !
I hope it helped! Thanks for watching
I just bought a 2012 Escalade and I’m surprised it doesn’t have Bluetooth. Thanks for the upload
These years were right before Bluetooth really caught on with the manufacturers. Crazy to think

i have trailblazer lt 2007, it's work with this model?, thanks
Do they make one for an 04 Tahoe?
How do you get It to play after that? Mine is hooked up but can’t figure out how to connect my car to my phone.
You need to have your phone in pair and then you switch between XM and the bluetooth with the 'back' button
Hey Street Riders, do you still have this installed in the Tahoe? If so, still functioning properly? Give a current review if you don't mind.
Yes it still functions great but they are not available on Amazon anymore
Will this work for 2011 chevy traverse LT without bluetooth, does the bt45-gm20 base work as the bluetooth modem?

Great video....
Thank you, hope it helps!
@@streetriderscustoms oh its does. Been using one of those cheap bluetooth plug in for the factory aux jack and the volume is so low.
Just wanting to use this Bluetooth music. Do I have to have the ugly mic installed as well I would never use it
No, you can leave that unplugged. It's just for making calls
Will it work with a 2014 tahoe ltz?
Yes. Just have to make sure the dip switches are in the proper order. My Tahoe is different than my escalade with navigation
@@streetriderscustoms does it display tracl info on the screen and can you control the musci with steering wheel buttons?
It does not display track info on the radio, but the steering wheel controls will change songs
Can we do video or screen mirroring
It does not do any of that. I'm pretty sure you would have to put an aftermarket screen in to do any of that stuff

Unfortunately it seems that it was hit with this whole pandemic related shortage of everything. I'm hoping they can get some shipments some day soon
check your local radio shops thats where i found mines it was sitting on the self and he forgot he had one left..
Dose it matter if your radio cam says theft locked ?
I'm sure your radio is theft locked that you can not use the bluetooth

Yes you can switch to XM and then blue tooth
I'm finding them on ebay today but not for Chevy
The company makes them for other vehicles, but the GM one seems to be out of stock
