- Many happenings on Day 3 of Drag Week 2015 - John Faraone drops out of competition due to a bad throttle body leaving him stranded, Lutz Jr. confirms he has dropped out, and many solid passes at Great Lakes Dragaway! Alex Taylor runs an 8 second pass in her 1969 Camaro and the green RX-7 strives for a 7-second pass!

Clone or not I LOVE IT!!! Though I don't money for one I like to have a 67 Shelby GT clone turbocharged and equipped with a C6 automatic. I love them Ford 427 SOHC cammers a lot and the 585 cammer too

Man, there's a handful of those guys that could really stand to lean their tunes down a bit, especially the RX7, gawd damn it looks like a diesel! I know there's a lot of new setups and caution on the tunes though too. The RX7 is launching pretty soft too. That car has a lot left in it.

Most guys run pig rich when they go to the track. Lol. Helps sometime.
Well theres a certain time (boost lag) where the tune is made for max boost not just raw motor so therefore it runs a little rich when boost kicks in the tune is and where it needs to be and it leans out
Sure, not denying that at all guys. Still pretty rich looking AFR's but without seeing the actual data... all guesses. My family used to race a 69' Nova promod, 526ci/8.3L Arias hemi on methanol, 14/71 Kobelco blower @ 60psi boost. All mechanical fuel injection. We tuned the AFR on it by the discoloration of the Cad plating on the spark plugs, for individual cylinders. A laptop would have been easy! Running an old Haltech in my RX7 and EFI Live on my Dmax.

ive been watchin the drag week vids, but what exactly is this.. a competition or just for shit and giggles? like do they just drive to one track to another and make a pass, but for what?
+hoss011 from what i understand, drive the cars track to track through the week, try to make the best pass you can at each track. it's a real test of car and driver. anybody can go fast once down the track, but try going fast every track all week and thrashing to keep your car together every night and you'll separate the boys from the men REEEEEEAL quick.
+hoss011 They race at each track but they also have to drive the cars track to track. So these 2-3,000 HP pro mods are running 6-7 second passes then driving that same car pulling a trailer with all their parts and tools track to track. Lot of work and skill to build a machine that can stand the test. Each track gets you points in your class. 15 classes total about 300 cars this year. Fastest times get most points per class.
