Reminds me of all my buddies in high school 1979. We all had muscle cars we would work on them...wash and wax them all the time..I had a 70 Chevelle SS my buddy had a ,67 Impala 2 door 3 on the tree. Another friend had 72 Nova...another friend had 70 Dodge charger...such a blast!

Geez. These cars arent even that fast. 8.60 figures to about a 5.50 eight. Most small tire outlaw cars run in the 4’s. My small tire outlaw car runs in the low 7’s in the quarter, although we run eight mile and it’s street-able….mostly…on methanol…

These are not street cars. Putting a plate on them will not change that. These are race cars on lots of juice and blowers too. When you see an all motor pump gas motor pull 8.99, then you have something special.
Let's not forget that they were trailered to the " street car " event. Yeah street car my eye 🤣🤣🤣
Driven everywhere. All day everyday, a 4000lbs, a/c, all factory panels in and out, glass, both heated/cooled seats, bolt in Watson cage, whipple 2015 mustang. 1.32 60’ and 8.98 at 152mph. Street car
I worked with a guy who drove his 9 second car to work one day, I nearly crapped my pants. His trying to turn that thing was quite a feat. His was a twin turboed stroker small block/Glide. Awesome vehicle, but I never saw it do a pass.
No one is saying ya can't put the squeeze to a street car.
I'd want a cage if I was running sub 9 either way.
