The Pioneers of Promod used to go this track all the time! It was one of the only places we could go and let it all hang out!!!!! Emer Wackner, Tommy Howze, Ed Hoover, Just to name a few! I ran a best there of 6.97 203....... Those were the days!!!!
6.97 @ 203 M.P.H. is very good and also very fast! THANK YOU for sharing your story!! I believe Great Lakes Dragaway is the oldest Drag Racing Track in the Country that’s still operating. I’ve been going there since the 90’s. The place has a ton of history! Great Lakes Dragaway is truly Legendary!! So many fun times and so many great memories for so many people!! I truly cherish the countless times there! I completely understand your statement about “let it all hang out!! There’s a sense of freedom in every way there that’s hard to explain!! It was a no brainer.. holy $h!t!! That was an awesome event too with fantastic racing weather!! A little cooler, perfect for engine performance.. a great time indeed!!
