Im a roadie and can do a 50-mile ride with 3000ft ofclimbing anywhere between 14mph to 17mph average. Im 52, and my wife is 64, whilst picking an ebike up from Balfes for my wife, i noticed a full suspension specialized emtb at an amazing price, so i thought, why not. I went over the south downs last weekend with a great group starting at hailsham, over to Brighton and back, i used 50% battery xon a 42-mile ride. I found that i worked really hard on the 1st half and was sweating on the hills. Then later, I just took it easy when i wanted. I absolutely loved it. The ability to not knacker yourself out on every ride is great. A lot of my mates won't like it, some will, and some dont care. Now i dont have to get anxious about not being good enough. It gets more people out. Fantastic Amy

If ever there was a feel good video, this was it😁You have such a great family Amy and your dad is a few sandwiches short of a picnic🤣I had a big ride planned for yesterday but my e bike wouldn't switch on, I ordered a new display which arrived today and its working again👍Its 6 years old so I can't complain😉I took my 15 year old Giant Hybrid out yesterday for the first time in 3 years and managed 50 miles with 3000ft of climbing, it was hard at times on the big hills but I really enjoyed it😊

What a wonderful chaotic ride Amy! Great to see your whole family together, reminds me of the summer holidays we used to take in Norfolk when I was a kid. Mind you, we were 5 children + odd friend or two and I still don't think we reached the total level of energy that your dad manages to bring all on his own! As for ebikes they are perfect for that kind of ride with people with mixed cycling experience. When I rode with my brother on an ebike I noticed that I would lead the conversation on the flats but he would always take over as the gradient got steeper and steeper!

I loved my holidays in wales with my family when I was younger, sadly my mom is no longer around. So this video brought it all back happy days 😊. Now me and my hubby cycle in bedgellert area. Which is still amazing, but you can't beat happy hols with the family . So keep enjoying them amy.

Brillaint video, for the most part first time round watching i was listening at work , and i was buckled , reminded me so much of family carvan holidays, sadly lost my dad when i was a teenager, enjoy these times as much as you can, every days a gift. the raw, chaos of family outting was brillaint... and that comment. I must say I loved this family video! The chaos is absolutely wonderful! I used an e-bike when I hurt my back and knee, and it gave me the opportunity to ride with my husband. Now, I use the ebike for grocery shopping and I’m back to riding my analog bike.👍🏾👍🏾

Amy have to say love the videos and because I started watching yours I got off my arse bought a road bike and now I’m doing 40kms a day and 70kms on a long ride 100kms next target I know it’s not much to what you and Kyle do but I’m getting there you should get Molly out more and start a beginners how to get started !!

Totally agree about Siroko, been very impresses with the quality and designs, only haven't tried bibs yet as my ass only likes the Rapha bibs. And yeah it's the best Gilet I've had but not the lightest.

My wife and I rode 50 miles in the Cotswolds. It was beautiful! I rode an ORRO. It was fantastic bike. My wife rode and E-bike and still couldn't keep up with me LOL!

No most use km! I just prefer miles I’m a bit of an odd one but then again all our road signs use miles! And I tend to like to use Meters but my garmin is set up for feet 🤦♀️😅

It rather annoys me a little when I see young people out on e-bikes. Well I'm 67 and still not ready for one. Very hilly in Sheffield and the Peaks. But at least people are out in the fresh air, getting some exercise and (hopefully) enjoying themselves.

Amy - I used to like your videos because they were fun, energetic and about getting out and ride. Now, it's nothing more than informercial and then this............e-bikes???? 🤷♀ Saw plenty of young people in their 20's and 30's on e-bikes this past weekend on the trail and seniors in their 70's on mountain, commuter and recumbent bikes without motors and even praised an older woman for being on her recumbent.
I don't think they would have been able to make the trip with the dogs and the entire family on such a hilly course, on road bikes. Would driving had been better? Nothing wrong with e-bikes, as long as you ride them properly, as any bike should be. Most of the people riding e-bikes in my area are also quite young, but they are riding them as an alternative to driving; not for sport.

E-bikes were in the title. So, if anyone does not like them, just don't watch the video. I found it adorable, and I think e-bikes are still a much healthier way of getting around than cars and motorcycles.
E-bikes are game changers for getting more people onto bikes. That is the most important thing, period. Your attitude is a cancer on our community. Bikes are critical for essential transportation in a time of climate change. We need EVERYONE who is physically capable to use bikes for more essential trips. I don't care at all how much of a workout someone gets as long as they're using a bike instead of a car. E-cargo bikes are more important to our climate change fight than EV cars.
