As it stands, there is literally nothing short of a "magic sun god ass pull" type of move that allows daenerys to win. Look at Cersei's fucking castle. It's a god-damn dragon killing, insurmountable mountain. Her dragons were the 1, the ONE supposed trump card for the whole fucking show. Apparently Cersei can just invent anti-dragon measures that are extremely effective. Euron had a way to both see OVER that fucking rock, outcrop thing, without Daenerys able to spot him, AND accurately take down a dragon, in one go. How does perspective work? Sorry "forgetting they exist" is not acceptable. So, our dragon queen is down to 1 dragon, 33% of her original strength. Her army is crippled, has high war-weariness debuffs. She just lost one of her most trusted advisers, which was simultaneously a double kill as the General of the unsullied is now going to be useless. Great. Shes lost. She didn't take the fucking rest and respite offered post dead-mans war, and has now completely thrown away any reasonable, non shitty magical way to win. You'd need to infiltrate the castle walls, destroy most/all the anti-dragon ballista without the dragons help or death in the process. You'd need a high standing army to push back and deal with the fact you're going to have to kill masses to take the throne. Someone explain to me how this works out in the dragon queens favor? That is ignoring the whole 'john is going to take it instead' subplot shit.

The bolt will continue flying all the way to Casterly Rock where it will land in the middle of their gunpowder store, blowing up the entire castle. This will send the bolt flying back to King's Landing where it will touch down again in the bay and ricochet between the ships of Euron's fleet, destroying every single one, and the ship-mounted ballistae will all fire off and miraculously pick off all of the Golden Company and the rest of the bad evil nasty doo-doo head ground forces. I'm calling it now.

Pissed me off the most. They launched like 6 arrows, 4 of which hit a flying dragon FAR away. End of the same episode: 1 dragon is sitting still on the ground ~600m in front of an array of scorpions.
They kill one with 100% accuracy on like each shot, and then fail to hit the other remaining dragon with literally every single attempt they make. Even when that other dragon was much closer to them. I guess they deactivated their cheat code.

Two dragons died from arrows/spears but one dragon takes out the entire King’s landing. Arya has no fear killing the Night King, but gets scared of killing Cersei. The more Unsullied die, the more Unsullied there are.
There were only 8,000** when she took them for herself, plus some younger ones and those older but not fully "unsullied." However lets be generous and give her 10,000 overall. Fighting in Essos Fighting at Casterly Rock Fighting at Winterfell At best she would have 1,000 left, since they are "elite" but still. All Dothraki should be gone too, wait maybe like 75 overall, from that once amazing 100,000.

" When she had to kill the Night King, there was almost no hope left, she had nothing to lose. When she went to kill Cersei, she realised she would probably die and Cersei would certainly die no matter what she would do because Daenerys was destroying everything around anyway.

Now while I don’t see how she didn’t notice them or how she wasn’t alerted about them before hand. But her destroying the city was legit Cersei wasn’t a good queen nor did she have anyone that could accurately control there war front like her father or her littlest brother. And even her only good play was due and part to the little brothers earlier tactic. To blow the fucken kingdoms problems up which was a plan used by the mad king. It’s odd because Cersei used the same tactic as the mad king and his daughter later shows up to complete his earlier plan to destroy that kingdom completely. As for Arya she definitely got scared of the night king she however needed to keep being reminded she is still a child after all and a female one at that. So she thinks more then just doing. A boy would just do more then thinking it out. That white horse and the sight of death once more reminded her of who she was. But I will still say this show blows ass because of all the loop wholes they left and just started fucking shit up.

Apart from that, medieval Ballistas(those big crossbows that Euron and his fleet uses did exist in the medieval ages,especially for siege and anti infantry roles) would be very hard to aim from a ship and even if the ship was stable,they just dont have the effective range,which is up to 100 meters of accurate firing.If Dany flew within 100 m of an enemy fleet without noticing it,then she is blind or retarded. Not to mention that when her dragon was hit,its first instinct would be to fly lower and do erratic turns instead of staying up in the air,perfectly stable so he can be shot more. Actually that parts legit. Before a siege or massive battle the leaders and their hands would meet to discuss terms. To not do so (at least in our world) was considered a real heathen thing to do and would NOT get you friends or allies. They would see you as a loose cannon who can’t work well with others and possessing no honor.

I actually liked season 8 the most out of recent seasons. But it is like penguinz said, DESPITE the bad writing. Cinematography and acting was great, and when you take those well-developed characters by GRRM that I'm still invested in and put them through this cinematography, it is still more enjoyable to me than most other series.

Well, there is a possible explanation. Remember when Arya told the sick girl to dring the water from the fountain in the faceless temple? She drank the same water later on and it gave back her sight. We can assume that it's blessed by the many faced god, and every faceless man drinks it as part of initiation to give them abilities like toughness, stronger will to live. It makes sense, because if they spend months training one person they want them to last. As for this season there is no way to redeem it.

The early seasons were all about politics and intrigue between interesting characters with varied motivations and life experiences. Season 8 has the bad guys, the good guys, and the good guys turning into bad guys. Fuck I miss Tywin.
This and episode 5 just highlight the glaring inconsistencies in the show's lore regarding Danerys' dragons - an undead king with probably supernatural aiming and throwing abilities, having killed one dragon, failed to kill another she could dodge this, one of her dragons got swarmed by white walkers and still survived, but despite surviving the same weapons before in season 7 she loses a dragon in an instant in this episode, and unlike before when she lost Viseryon and it was a huge tragedy, this time it's barely glossed over. Then to top it off in episode 5 her remaining dragon is suddenly completely invulnerable and basically breathes nukes.
If they wanted to kill the dragon, surely they could have had her fly in a straight line toward the fleet and at that point her dragon gets shot in the mouth. Sure that wouldn't be the smartest thing for her to do but at least it makes more sense than what actually happened.
Considering King's Landing in this last episode was set on desert-ish landscape, I suppose that already happened. Total retcon of the portrayals in previous seasons lol.

If you're going to have a character travel, either show them travelling like they did in the earlier seasons, or state that time has passed and they've gotten to their destination.

Greyworm escorted her so she lend her army to Jon since he is familiar with the country and he also probably had the objectif to recruit more troops (the Tully guy who was prisoner of the Frey) on the way down to King's Landing
This is why I stopped watching after season 5 when they said they'd be diverging from the books. Some of the filler they wrote in the earlier seasons was absolutely terribly written and I knew that if the writers moved away from the books the show would end up being entirely that level of shit.
She forgot about it alright... During winterfell council meeting: Varys: "And the Golden Company has arrived in King's Landing, courtesy of the *Greyjoy fleet* " [...] Jon: "We'll surround the city. If the *Iron Fleet* tries to ferry in more food, the dragons will destroy them." Just 2 mentions of basically 33-50% of enemy forces existing.... *Daenerys of the House Alzheimer, the Forgetful of Her Name, The Forgetting one, Queen of failing to remember, the lost memories and the lobotomy, Queen of no recollection and lack of rememberance, Protector of the sclerosis, Lady Regent of kinda forgetting, Breaker of memories and Mother of Alzheimer patients.*
Writers didnt mean she forgot the fleet existed. Writers mean it slipped out of her mind for a minute when she enjoyed a moment watching her dragons play. This poorly written show has many major flaws, this isnt one of them.

While in the air at height of 500m you get about 80km of visible distance, 1000m in the air = 112km of visible distance. That is if you forget about the fact that any army on the move has scouts around it... Guess Dany forgot about those too. As it stands, there is literally nothing short of a "magic sun god ass pull" type of move that allows daenerys to win.
Look at Cersei's fucking castle. It's a god-damn dragon killing, insurmountable mountain. Her dragons were the 1, the ONE supposed trump card for the whole fucking show. Apparently Cersei can just invent anti-dragon measures that are extremely effective. Euron had a way to both see OVER that fucking rock, outcrop thing, without Daenerys able to spot him, AND accurately take down a dragon, in one go. How does perspective work? Sorry "forgetting they exist" is not acceptable.
So, our dragon queen is down to 1 dragon, 33% of her original strength. Her army is crippled, has high war-weariness debuffs. She just lost one of her most trusted advisers, which was simultaneously a double kill as the General of the unsullied is now going to be useless. Great. Shes lost. She didn't take the fucking rest and respite offered post dead-mans war, and has now completely thrown away any reasonable, non shitty magical way to win. You'd need to infiltrate the castle walls, destroy most/all the anti-dragon ballista without the dragons help or death in the process. You'd need a high standing army to push back and deal with the fact you're going to have to kill masses to take the throne.
Someone explain to me how this works out in the dragon queens favor? That is ignoring the whole 'john is going to take it instead' subplot shit.

When she had to kill the Night King, there was almost no hope left, she had nothing to lose. When she went to kill Cersei, she realised she would probably die and Cersei would certainly die no matter what she would do because Daenerys was destroying everything around anyway.

Now while I don’t see how she didn’t notice them or how she wasn’t alerted about them before hand. But her destroying the city was legit Cersei wasn’t a good queen nor did she have anyone that could accurately control there war front like her father or her littlest brother. And even her only good play was due and part to the little brothers earlier tactic. To blow the fucken kingdoms problems up which was a plan used by the mad king. It’s odd because Cersei used the same tactic as the mad king and his daughter later shows up to complete his earlier plan to destroy that kingdom completely. As for Arya she definitely got scared of the night king she however needed to keep being reminded she is still a child after all and a female one at that. So she thinks more then just doing. A boy would just do more then thinking it out. That white horse and the sight of death once more reminded her of who she was. But I will still say this show blows ass because of all the loop wholes they left and just started fucking shit up.

Apart from that, medieval Ballistas(those big crossbows that Euron and his fleet uses did exist in the medieval ages,especially for siege and anti infantry roles) would be very hard to aim from a ship and even if the ship was stable,they just dont have the effective range,which is up to 100 meters of accurate firing.If Dany flew within 100 m of an enemy fleet without noticing it,then she is blind or retarded.
Not to mention that when her dragon was hit,its first instinct would be to fly lower and do erratic turns instead of staying up in the air,perfectly stable so he can be shot more.
There is just no logic anymore in this show,there is no way things can happen the way they do unless the writers bend the laws of logic to make it so.

Actually that parts legit. Before a siege or massive battle the leaders and their hands would meet to discuss terms. To not do so (at least in our world) was considered a real heathen thing to do and would NOT get you friends or allies. They would see you as a loose cannon who can’t work well with others and possessing no honor.

And they instantly aim the heavy bastard without any form of communication. Considering that at that distance, you miss the target if your aim is off by half an inch horizontally or vertically, Rhaegal getting hit even once, is less believable then Arya getting her shot at the Night King while being surrounded.

I feel like the best thing to do is wait till the money dries up and the golden army leaves due to no pay then they would only have to deal with the small amount of lannister army thats left

Well, there is a possible explanation. Remember when Arya told the sick girl to dring the water from the fountain in the faceless temple? She drank the same water later on and it gave back her sight. We can assume that it's blessed by the many faced god, and every faceless man drinks it as part of initiation to give them abilities like toughness, stronger will to live. It makes sense, because if they spend months training one person they want them to last.
As for this season there is no way to redeem it.

This and episode 5 just highlight the glaring inconsistencies in the show's lore regarding Danerys' dragons - an undead king with probably supernatural aiming and throwing abilities, having killed one dragon, failed to kill another she could dodge this, one of her dragons got swarmed by white walkers and still survived, but despite surviving the same weapons before in season 7 she loses a dragon in an instant in this episode, and unlike before when she lost Viseryon and it was a huge tragedy, this time it's barely glossed over. Then to top it off in episode 5 her remaining dragon is suddenly completely invulnerable and basically breathes nukes.
If they wanted to kill the dragon, surely they could have had her fly in a straight line toward the fleet and at that point her dragon gets shot in the mouth. Sure that wouldn't be the smartest thing for her to do but at least it makes more sense than what actually happened.

As someone who has shot with medieval crossbows before, i can tell you that it takes at a minimum 15 seconds to reload a crossbow. That whole shot was such bullshit. Not even talking how Bronn traveled a continents length to winterfell, snuck inside winterfell itself, exactly into the room where the 2 lannisters are that he has been hired to kill. And after that shitty negotiation he makes, he just takes their word for it and fucks off. What fucking leverage does he have? Greyworm escorted her so she lend her army to Jon since he is familiar with the country and he also probably had the objectif to recruit more troops (the Tully guy who was prisoner of the Frey) on the way down to King's Landing

This is why I stopped watching after season 5 when they said they'd be diverging from the books. Some of the filler they wrote in the earlier seasons was absolutely terribly written and I knew that if the writers moved away from the books the show would end up being entirely that level of shit.

Writers didnt mean she forgot the fleet existed. Writers mean it slipped out of her mind for a minute when she enjoyed a moment watching her dragons play. This poorly written show has many major flaws, this isnt one of them.

Unless ofc you want to claim that Euron fleet teleported into position right the second Dany started staring at Rhaegal. Which, you know, is entirely possible, cause there was no way Euron would ever be able to approach the enemy with an entire fleet while that enemy has a scout in the air...
So yeah, this is a huge fucking flaw that only shows the collective iq of Dumb and Dumber being equal to that of a cockroach.

While in the air at height of 500m you get about 80km of visible distance, 1000m in the air = 112km of visible distance. Sure, one won't spot something from 100km, but it is enough for one to spot a FLEET from 5 km to avoid that dragon's death. That is if you forget about the fact that any army on the move has scouts around it... Guess Dany forgot about those too.
You can "get lost in the moment" as much as you want, if there is a ENTIRE FLEET in your field of view, even if its partially obstructed, you would snap out in an instant.
On top of that, Dragons are intelligent, it is said in the show. It can be even seen in the show. So how come that even after Rhaegal was hit for the first time, nor he, nor Drogon reacted to it? How come Drogon did not smash into his brother to push him downwards so another bolt would miss? Rhaegal sure, could be like "wtf is this shit?", but Drogon was looking the same direction Rhaegal and Euron's fleet were. If Dany is too stupid to react, Drogon would have. Afterall when Jaimie was charging at Daenerys one time, Drogon had absolutly no problem sensing the danger and protecting her.
