I fixed my leaf problem a different way. I cut down the stupid trees around my house.

The 4000 series has an optional; category one 3-point hitch (however it isn't PTO powered).
The camp owns one Ventrac. A few volunteers bring more Ventracs to speed up the process.

Nice, versatile macine! Need a mulching blade for that lawn mower to mulch up those leaves AS you pick them up. Then make sure to compost them and reuse the compost created.
I saw the picture for this video, and I was wondering how they were going to use that big piece of culvert to clean up leaves.
@labrieexpert2000 This Log splitter was made made by a Ventrac customer (not Ventrac manufacturer). At this time Ventrac does not offer a log splitter. Do a TH-cam search for "Wood Splitter on a Ventrac" to see more of the log splitter.
This Ventrac tractor has a front PTO to power the mower, but not a rear PTO, so a second motor is necessary..

You are right! The video show us clearing all the leaves in the area that is shown. We do not remove all the leaves in camp, only in the areas around our buildings and where we have group activities.
With the 12v kit, I'm sure it would be possible to rig up. I've seen someone do it with a DVD player (just don't recommend operating tractor at the same time). :-)
@Mikes1000Toys Log splitter was a custom made attachment made by someone else. This is the second one that I've seen. Runs off the PTO.
Seems like a rugged handy little unit. Research initiated....stand by....
Seems like a good utility tractor but does it have the pulling power of a compact with the same amount of horsepower
if you leave the leaves on the ground,, will it not be better,, the nutrients found in most of the grass food ,, is found in leaves

I live in California and I have no leaves. Does Ventrac make a surfwax application attachment?

Why is the collection-system powered by an engine and not by the pto??
@atlbraveswin00 It has to be a huge lot of leaves to let grass not get enough oxigen and light. I never saw that happen anyways so you do not have to worry, grass won't die that quickly.
how much horsepower does a ventrac have like the 4500 and the 3500, I have a 27 hp lawn tractor that's a cub cadet

how much is your cheapst model what what is ir i cant find prices on the site.... and do you need to pick ip up at the plant? my grandparents driveway is about 400ft long and a hill all the way up and they have alot of grass so i would use the plow,mower, and the thing that airates gavel and that would be a HUGE help to my grandfather cause i already mow and he has to go get in his tractor to plow and we think thats giving him bad back so yes can i please have some prices?

Cant you leave the leaves on the ground for the winter? There are so many little insects and other creatures using it for protection and it also helps some plants to survive in the floor giving isolation from the cold...
Ventrac, any plans for a flail mower?

Nothing cuts very tall or matted grass better in one pass than a flail.
It not only cuts but it mulches to a finer finish than a rotary

@atlbraveswin00 Your ignorance is amazing. I was not talking about the grass but about tulip bulbs, etc. and those do not like frost very much. A protective layer of isulating leaves is very helpful to keep them alive over the winter. It is a standard policy we do over in northern Europe (not Canada :P). Curb appeal is a typical American thing. The whole westcoast is nothing but man-controlled pseudo-nature where every lawn looks like plastic...I'd rather have some leaves around.

These are alright machines. Too many hydraulic lines though. You'll spend some time having to replace them. I'd rather take the money and buy a compact tractor like a John Deere or Kubota.
@KnorpelDelux Who cares about insects under the leaves? There plenty of wooded areas in this world for them to hide in. They don't need to rely on people leaving leaves in their lawn to survive....Ever heard of Curb appeal? Grass doesn't need leaves on it to survive the winter. What do you have bahiagrass up there in Canada? LOL...
