I truly believe that in school we aren't taught all of the necessary things, how to ace a interview, how to write checks, talk on the phone so many things that are necessary for living that we don't know about. Parents don't even teach us, we're just expected to know how to do all of these things.

Outsourced Indians annoy me, too. I usually call for something their automated system can't handle, so what do they do? Read off a script like another automated system. For anything that isn't the "FAQ" stuff, they are just another layer of wasted time.
I remember the old saying "we have two ears and only one mouth for a reason"- and talking on the phone in the mirror to make sure my smile is genuine tends to help the other person feel more comfortable.
In Brazil it is perfectly normal to call people by their first name, even in moments of extreme formality. If you call someone by the last name, everyone will find you very strange.

The background music was loud , too upbeat and definitely distracting. I had to back space the video several times to make sure I heard the teaching tips correctly. Dan I hate you're infomercial in the middle of your presentation. I get the idea of that but it comes on kind of assaulting, you first start getting us warmed up during the conversation and then just start getting into it and then Wham you are commercial about how did the rich stay rich. I mean obviously you get it man but damn just feel as bad taste since we cannot skip it and you're not even paying for a commercial add.
