Fufu is a very popular dish known widely to West Africans, and the preparation differs from country to county, and region to region. Fufu is eaten with a multitude of soups ranging from light soup, palmnut soup, ebunuebunu, groundnut or peanut soup, just to mention a few. The local preparation in Ghana is tedious and time consuming! However, this preparation allows you to enjoy fresh fufu without the arduous preparation and without using processed ingredients such as fufu powder.
    INGREDIENTS:
    750 grams of green plantain
    250 grams of cassava
    650 ml of water.

    Wow, I love this method.
Please always remember to ferment your cassava for a day or two before cooking. Remember it contains cyanide that is harmful to health. The fermentation process takes it out. Our mothers and grandmothers were wise.

So glad to find your channel :-) A friend from Ghana (decades ago) used to cook FUFU with sort of a red fish sauce for us and we eat it with our hands. It was so delicious and fun but I must admit, at the time we did not pay much attention of HOW he cooked it.
Finding your video makes me want to try cooking it myself. Just have to find the red sauce now...
Thank you very much for that nice video!

Thanks for sharing sis! But I want to you to try this version and share this with your viewers: I peel and cut my plantain and the cassava like the way you did yours and boil it, and blend it in my blender using the ice-crushing setting, and it comes out very smooth like original fufu from Ghana! Please I’ve heard a lot about the dangers of microwave so please try it this way and share it with your fans. I use KitchenAid blender the one with 5 settings, and I know you have a good blender and you will get good results!

It also works perfect if you pour the consistancy into a cooking pan with a long handle and set it on a stove to cook. That's if you want to avoid the microwave.

dodo mvuemba I had a look at your so called Lituma and it looks nothing like Ghanaian Fufu. Also, Fufu originated in Ghana it’s a known fact. So if anything, maybe Congolese fufu is not the way fufu is supposed to be prepared. Thanks
