Hey Mike, I just got done watching your WY cutthroat grand slam video on you tube. I've been taking 3 week trips up to WY, MT, ID & S. Utah for about 5 years now. I want thank you for pointing me in the right direction on where research to fish some of the smaller streams. Also, on your favorite restaurants in these areas. I had been following another fly fisherman on you tube but I learned very little from him...I just watched him fish. Tight Lines!
Thank you for the video, love you keep challenging yourself with the Spey rod. You will see, once you got that down it will be another skill under your belt. I went this weekend and had one of my best days. To the point I passed out in the couch with a big smile and my wife was making fun of me, because Fly fishing makes me this happy. But using your own made rod and getting nice fish on your own flies for me that’s a win. Be Blessed Brother and keep the videos coming. Fly Fishing is Life!!
A fun time Mike! Enjoyed seeing some familiar haunts. I half-expected to see some footage of trout conversation over a four-star meal at Gaston’s. Nice vid!
As usual, nice video. My fishing buddy moved to North Texas and I told him just a few days ago we needed to consider the White for one of our fishing trips. This should help convince him haha.
I just know this type of fishing hurt the soul a little Flyallszn 😅. Even though it's not in the middle of some canyon with not a person in sight, I'm sure it was still a great experience and it was also a fun watch.
As someone from Arkansas who fishes the white often its good to see some positive comments on this video. Seems like we are only pointing out the downsides of the this fishery. Every place has good and bad.
It is an amazing resource for untold numbers of "fly over" fly anglers. I grew up fishing it and learned a lot of about fly fishing from the old white.
Thanks for a good video, one that reminds me why I have no interest in ever fishing there!! Look at all those people, I’m glad some people can enjoy that kind of fishing, however, I am not one of them
@FLYALLSZN my brother owned a house about 200 yards north of where you were rowing. Looked like stetson's resort on your right. We once just waded out from his house above that rifle (cane island) and in an hour pulled out 80 fish. Back then you could wade up and down the river for miles. Minimum flow changed all that. It's good for the fish, but oh how I miss those days on the white!
They stock like half a million per year. I've done the float trip from just below the dam. You'll catch 3 dozen 12" rainbows. You'll see ginormous browns laying on the bottom like logs, but they won't bite. Anyway, been there, done that.
Wow!! What a great fly fishing experience. Beat up stockers, views of dams, and power boats everywhere. F this stupid river. That's not fly fishing. By the way, a little piece of advice for you guys. Forget swinging streamers. Swinging is for steelhead. Fish your streamers on the 2 hander just like you would on a single hand rod. Streamers need to move, not just swing. I love your videos, but this river is an absolute shit hole. I don't care how big the browns get here.
I sure had a great time and sometimes its not only about the fishing. The overall experience and friends made along the way is more important than how or where you catch the fish.
I totally get it man. And I love it. So many people have tailwateritis. The more people on those spots the less on the rivers I dig. So spread the joy, but be careful on the smaller systems. Its too easy to always know almost exactly where you're at with google maps now, and some common sense. I always laugh when you've backpacked in 6 miles to catch cuts that have no maxillaries. Lol. But again, I enjoy your efforts!!!
Hey Mike , Just want you to know that I think you are the best !! I love the way you narrate them. They are awesome. I'm a beginner and
Thank you for the kind words, I'm glad you're enjoying them!

Really loved this one since I'm from AR. Makes me want to get out to the white river more often!
Winter is a good time for it!
LOVE IT!
Thank you!
@@mikekauffman1092 Hey buddy , I don't want to forget Sam and Blake 😂
@@mikekauffman1092 Thank You , Sam , & Blake also !!!

Thank you so much! I was tempted to hit Gastons!

Phenomenal! Thank you so much!
Another great video !! Keep it up man (:
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Nice video, I've had only good times fishing this river despite the crowds! Looks like fun.
It can be a bit crazy down there but the fishing is well worth it.
Wow.. what a great weekend
Thanks for the video!!
Thank you for the invite! We need to do it again soon!
Love your videos. I’m fairly new to fly fishing and love it. What fly rod are you using
I was using a mix of my trout Spey and 5wt!
@ 2:51 Please help me out. Where is the Sculpin???

Sometimes you just have to go with it! It was a great place to practice the trout spey! Thanks for watching.
Ankther fun one!
Thank you!!
Downriver, around the bend - you will get away from the jet boats a little better. They put in right where you went in- at the park, by the bridge.
Plucked out a few good bows! Cheers, brother.

One fish was all I needed! So getting those bigger bows made the trip worth it!

I already started my popcorn!
Hope you enjoyed it!
These types of crowds stress me out. I think the feelings mutual FlyAllSzn
They can be tough to deal with!
Crowds? You’re funny. Try going there when schools are out, and people are taking vacation there.
Thanks for a good video, one that reminds me why I have no interest in ever fishing there!! Look at all those people, I’m glad some people can enjoy that kind of fishing, however, I am not one of them
I get that, it's not for everyone!
On low water - you gotta fish places they avoid. We know where they are - and it’s much more enjoyable
Agreed!
lol brian glass got everyone in arkansas night fishing
I have heard good things about night fishing there!
im learning something
Thats great to hear!
if you never got to fish the white before minimum flow you missed the best fly fishing ever!
It can be really good!

Are you sure there aren’t speckled cutthroats native to that river? I’d be curious. Love the positivity! Keep fishy

I think we saw a few of those big browns!
"Been there, done that." Relax man..
All of my buddies caught a ton of rainbows throwing the same thing. I caught the massive browns using no other than a brown trout jerk bait. 😊
@@FLYALLSZN if you want the big browns, you throw big streamers at night. Floating line. Across current & swing. Test retrieves.
Mmmm. Dog food fed government trout 😂

I can see why everyone comes out west to fish what a horrible experience I’d rather stay home than fish that place
Some folks aren’t that lucky! It’s a great opportunity for folks in the Midwest
do stay home then karen
i love the white river
