The guy at KFC in Canada told me they recently just veganized ALL their sauces! He said the only one that took awhile longer than the rest was the spicy mayo. I didn’t look further into it but if that’s true maybe it’s something for you guys to look forward to!
I’ve been saying for a while that fast food is a great way for these meat subs to break into mainstream audiences. Fast food is already so processed that having a highly processed vegan option probably doesn’t throw the taste way off. Whereas, trying to get someone who normally eats high end cuts of meat to make the switch will be harder. P.S. I’m super excited to go try those chicken nuggets now!
Some KFC locations have overcooked them and make them too tough. I ended up using a fork and steak knife to cut bite sized pieces. The taste was amazing, and well worth a little extra chewing.
Quick question though are these meat substitutes really healthy. Like I'm a non veg but I rarely eat processed meats. Most of my meat is fresh cuts from my farm. So isn't all these substitute really processed and pretty unhealthy
Everyone saying the chicken isn't vegan.. neither are the burgers or the sausage patty. They were probably all cross contaminated and cooked on/in meat surfaces that weren't cleaned before making these "vegan" meals. It is nearly impossible to avoid cross contamination, especially when eating out at fast food places. The effort and intention is all that matters
You're so strong and brave Merle ♥️ praying for you and your family and I hope that you don't feel too pressured to post during this difficult time. Grateful for you whenever you post ♥️

I think we should stop trying to describe plant based food relative to how well it replicates meat. I think we should judge it merely as it is. Flavor profile, and texture. I think this is what will remove the stigma of plant based food.
I’m all for this personally, but I think the resemblance to meat is important to make the point to non vegans that killing an animal is even less justifiable than it already was in a world where there are plant-based meats indiscernible from the flesh they’re conditioned to love.
