Got a question. I noticed you had the engine at TDC. Just making sure the engine needs to be at TDC when replacing the Timing Chain Tensioner. Some folks say no because it's oil pr4essure regulated but I don't grasp that concept. I figured a Timing Chain has a slack side just like a timing belt. Thank you for any advice.

Timing chain has been in Hondas for a good while now brotha… What year is your si? And so far so good although I do give my car hell everyday. This little engine can only hold so much as long as you maintain as you go every person different driving.
i'm pretty sure the Si's exhaust cam is different haha also bro replace the damn battery in your smoke detector XD you can tear apart a whole ass engine but can't open the detector and put a 9v battery in? come onnnnn
Exhaust cam is the same between the L15B7 Si and L15B7 ext. only the intake cam differs as the Si has a different fuel system. The L15BA hatch and L15B7 ext also have different exhaust cams but the same intake cams

I might be wrong but the difference is the si camshafts have different or larger lobes and less but larger turbo fins as well.

How were you able to remove the chain from the bottom? Mine is wedged with that small lip.
Pull the crank gear out with it

How did you get the chain off from the sprocket on the crank? I can seem to get chain to clear the teeth because of that lip on the bottom.
You just slide out the sprocket a bit and you can clear the lip on the oil pump you talking about
How do you slip the chain out from the tight space on the oil pump?
You have to slide it out with the cranks sprocket all together.
What torque do you tighten everything back to?
So how do you add the extra click to the tensioner

No gasket and highly recommend using hondabond

No, you can also do it while the engine still in the car.
